Seguretat i sostenibilitat: elaboració d'un model de procediment normalitzat de treball (pnt) com a eina docent per a l'autoaprenentatge en els tallers de les facultats de belles arts. La implementació dels nous graus requereix la integració dels conceptes i metodologies relacionades amb la seguretat, la prevenció de riscos laborals i la protecció del medi ambient. En aquest context, un equip de professorat de les facultats de Belles Arts (UB, UPV, UCLM) ha desenvolupat un projecte d'innovació docent, una de les parts fonamentals del qual, ha estat la ideació i creació d'un model de procediment normalitzat de treball (PNT) i la seva aplicació en experiències pilot realitzades en diverses pràctiques als tallers i laboratoris. El PNT s'ha mostrat com una eina bàsica per a l'autoaprenentatge, que, així mateix, garanteix l'adquisició d'aquelles competències transversals relacionades amb la seguretat i la sostenibilitat

Este nuevo paradigma que nos enfrenta a un modelo cuantitativo y cualitativo de la enseñanza-aprendizaje, perturba y enmaraña los modos sobre métodos anteriores a la reforma de la enseñanza superior. El papel del alumno, ahora, como actor responsable, en gran medida de su aprendizaje, se concreta y define en el crédito ECTS, otorgándole este nuevo rol. En las Facultades de Bellas Artes, la docencia es eminentemente práctica. La teoría, va implícita junto al alumno en su puesto de trabajo, mediante un diálogo razonado, he intentando tutelarle al mismo tiempo, para que pilote su propio aprendizaje. El hecho de que el tiempo se "limite" considerablemente, causa verdaderos estragos en estas enseñanzas

This paper puts forth an alternate reading of the artistic climate in late nineteenth-century Paris than that which has traditionally been suggested. I propose that the expansion of creative opportunity during this time reveals a climate of communal support, consent, and progressive reform for women artists, rather than a struggle to undermine central (masculine) control, as many scholars have claimed. Specifically, I explore the work of American expatriates living in Paris, including but not limited to Cecilia Beaux, Anna Klumpke, Alice Kellogg, and Ellen Day Hale. The birth of the private academy in Paris offered women the chance to develop their artistic ability and assert their independence. The Académie Julian in particular provided a comparatively accepting and progressive environment where American women studying abroad could study from the nude model, receive proper training, and explore their full creative potential. Through an examination of a) these women’s self-portraits, and b) depictions of them painted by their contemporaries – both male and female – I further investigate the artistic education of American women in the highly-gendered cultural milieu of late nineteenth-century France.

The declaration, handwritten in Latin and signed by members of the junior and sophomore classes (Harvard Classes of 1714 and 1715), promises that the undersigned will not use the vernacular but instead "whenever, at meals, at banquets,...in our rooms, in all our gatherings, wherever and whenever" will speak in Latin, Greek, or Hebrew through the next May. Additional Latin text appears on both the front and back of the document. The original is accompanied by a typed transcription and two partial handwritten translations. Note at top of original: "Script. Leonardo Dowding, Composit. a Tho. Foxcroft."

Two-page handwritten Greek translations created by Harvard sophomore Benjamin Wadsworth on folio-sized paper. The document contains Greek translations of two letters from J. Garretson's "English exercises for school-boys to translate into Latin," copied by Wadsworth in 1766. The first page contains two sections: "As it is in English. A Letter from one friend to another," containing a copy of Garretson's Epistle IV from "E.C.," and a Greek translation of the letter beginning "Kypie..." The second page contains a Greek translation of Garretson's Epistle III from "B.J," and a note by Wadsworth: "A Letter from one Brother to another. Taken out of Garetson's English Exercise. The 3rd Exercise. or 135st page. There is not room or I would write down the English out of which I translated it. September the 2d A.D. 1766. When I was a sophomore." The document is bordered with hand-drawn double lines.

Small notebook kept by James Baker in the late 1750s; the dates 1755, 1756, and 1758 were written in the book. The volume contains Latin theses, Latin translations from the Book of Genesis, and three pages of English text recording an argument about the soul. The notebook has a string binding and pages of different size. The text does not appear to follow a system of organization and includes scribbles and struck-out words.

The bound notebook contains academic texts copied by Harvard student James Varney in the early 1720s. The texts are written tête-bêche (where both ends of the volume are used to begin writing). The front paste-down endpaper reads 'James Varney his book 1724,' and the rear paste-down endpaper reads 'Joseph Lovett' [AB 1728].

Bound volume containing a handwritten Greek grammar compiled by Joseph Drury beginning in 1763. The last sixteen pages contain a historical poem beginning, “Mason might once assert a Poets Claim. / But he must needs write.” The poem contains references to the “Great Patriot P—,“ the Roman conquest of Gall, Caeser, Versailles, and includes the verses, “How the King doth all his Cooks excel / Besides he longs to kiss his P / Saving your presence Louis keeps a whore.”
