毕生献中华──纪念林同骥先生诞辰80周年

林同骥先生是我国著名流体力学家．在稀薄气体力学、高超声速、跨声速空气动力学和不可压缩流体动力学等广泛的领域中都有重要的研究成果，尤其是在再入飞行器防热、再人物体的表面烧蚀和不可压缩振荡流等方面，为我国航天事业和海洋工程的发展作出了贡献．林同骥先生在１９７９～１９９０年期间先后任《力学学报》副主编、主编．为《力学学报》在改革开放新形势下的发展和进人国际交流大网络倾注了大量心血．在纪念林同骥先生诞辰８０周年之际，我们向读者介绍这位毕生献中华的科学家，并刊出他的学生们的一些论文，以表达怀念与崇敬之情．

Juncal Ballestín: una creadora de "objetos con memoria" durante los años 80

[ES] La artista alavesa Juncal Ballestín desarrolla una obra caracterizada principalmente por sus referencias al arte objetual, el surrealismo y el arte povera. A partir de aquí, recaba su interés en la búsqueda de diversos objetos con una marcada memoria, es decir, objetos ya utilizados y que han recogido diferentes experiencias, pensamientos y vivencias de sus antiguos dueños, lo que proporciona a su producción escultórica una sólida base significativa, social y vivencial.

Mechanism of mass transfer in the formation of hydrothermal deposits of sulphides [Translation from: Trudy Inst.Geol.rudn.Mesterozh. 16, 80 [pages 44-46 ”Solubility of sulphides of iron” only], 1958]

This partial translation of the original paper provides the summary of this study of the mechanism of mass transfer in the formation of hydrothermal deposits of sulphides. For determining the solubility of sulphides of iron, the radioactive isotope Fe59 was used. The solubility of two sulphides was determined.

Campagne Chalci 80-01 (20/8/1980-10/9/1980): résultats des chalutages

One additional Chalci campaign that, in line with the previous Chalci campaigns 78-01, 78-02, and 79/01, has as its major objective the trawl exploration of the Ivoirian continental shelf at the depth of 10 to 120 metres.

River Bray fisheries survey 1978-80

This is the River Bray fisheries survey 1978-80 report produced by South West Water Authority in 1981. This report aims to assess the possible effects of new abstraction conditions at Leahamford on the fish communities of the River Bray, surveys have been carried out in 1978, 197S and 1980. Field work was done in August and September each; year. Abstraction began in summer 1979. On the River Bray one site upstream and three downstream of Leahamford were chosen. One site on the River Mole was surveyed and is considered as a control site, being not directly affected by abstraction. The sketch map shows these sites in relation to Leahamford.

A comparative study on the hatching of common carp eggs in hapa and hatchery (model CIFE D-80)

Common carp (Cyprinus carpio) eggs were incubated to study the efficiency of hatching in hapa and hatchery. During incubation the recorded temperature was 21-28 degree C and 20-31 degree C, dissolved oxygen 6-9 ppm. and 3-5 ppm., total alkalinity 180-250 ppm. and 28-62 ppm. respectively in the hatchery (model C.I.F.E. D-80) and hapa. CO sub(2) was totally absent in the hatchery, but recorded 3-10 ppm. in the hapa. The flow of water was maintained at 1.25 l/minute/jar in the hatchery. Under the above environmental conditions the eggs hatched in 42-51 hrs. in the hatchery and 61-81 hrs. in the hapa from egg to spawn thereby establishing the hatchery to be a better hatching system for carp eggs.

80 GSPS photonic analogue to digital conversion system using broadband continuous wave source

An 80 GSPS photonic ADC system is demonstrated, using broadband MLL and dispersive fibre to form a continuous waveform with time-wavelength mapping, and AWG to channelise. Tests are carried out for RF signals up to 10GHz. © 2005 Optical Society of America.
