Carga viral e genotipagem do vírus de Epstein-Barr (EBV) e análise da frequência das variantes do gene viral BNLF-1 em indivíduos portadores do vírus da imunodeficiência humana (HIV)

Indivíduos imunocomprometidos possuem maior risco de desenvolver linfomas associados ao EBV. A detecção desse vírus em sangue periférico e a determinação de sua carga viral podem ter importância na evolução clínica de indivíduos portadores do HIV. Foram avaliadas 156 amostras de pacientes HIVpositivos pela reação em cadeia da polimerase em tempo real (qPCR) para detecção e quantificação da carga viral do EBV. 123/156 (78,8%) casos apresentaram carga viral detectável para o EBV, sendo que a carga viral média foi de 6,9x10-3 cópias de EBV/célula. Foi detectada elevada carga viral do EBV em indivíduos com falha terapêutica ou sem HAART (p =0,0076), em coinfectados pelos EBVs 1 e 2 (p=0,0205), em pacientes com altas cargas de HIV (rho=0,27614, p=0,0005) e longos períodos de infecção pelo HIV (rho= 0,24164, p =0,0026) e os que apresentavam altos níveis de linfócitos T CD8 + (rho=0,19286, p =0,0159). A amplificação do gene EBNA-2 para realização da tipagem viral foi possível em 95/123 (77,2%) amostras, das quais 72 (75,8%) revelaram infecção pelo EBV-1, 9 (9,5%) pelo EBV-2 e 14 (14,7%) apresentavam coinfecção entre os EBVs 1 e 2. Esses dados estão de acordo com a literatura visto que o tipo 1 é predominante em países ocidentais e 70,0% da coorte era composta por indivíduos caucasianos e heterossexuais. A maioria dos pacientes que apresentaram coinfecção pelos EBVs 1 e 2 tiveram contagem de linfócitos T CD4 + entre 200 e 499 células/μL de sangue segundo classificação CDC (p =0,0272). Quanto a analise do gene BNLF-1, a amplificação foi possível em 99/123 (80,5%). Desses 50/99 (50,5%) apresentavam a deleção de 30pb no gene, enquanto 49/99 (49,5%) não a possuíam. Estudo do envolvimento da neurotransmissão colinérgica no núcleo leito da estria terminal nas respostas autônomas e neuroendócrinas desencadeadas pelo estresse por restrição agudo em ratos

Estudos têm demonstrado a ativação de neurônios no núcleo leito da estria terminal (NLET) durante situações aversivas. Além disso, foi demonstrado o envolvimento do NLET no controle das respostas cardiovasculares e neuroendócrinas durante o estresse. Evidências têm apontado que a neurotransmissão colinérgica, através de receptores muscarínicos, é um mecanismo envolvido no controle das respostas fisiológicas durante o estresse emocional em várias estruturas límbicas. No entanto, apesar de estudos indicarem o envolvimento de mecanismos colinérgicos do NLET no controle da função cardiovascular, não existem evidências na literatura acerca da participação da neurotransmissão colinérgica no NLET nas respostas fisiológicas ao estresse. Diante disso, nosso objetivo no presente estudo foi investigar o efeito do pré-tratamento bilateral do NLET com hemicolínio (inibidor do transportador de colina), metilatropina (antagonista de receptores colinérgicos muscarínicos) ou neostigmina (inibidor da enzima acetilcolinesterase) sobre as respostas autonômicas e neuroendócrinas desencadeadas pelo estresse por restrição agudo em ratos. Para tanto, seis dias antes dos experimentos os animais tiveram cânulas guias implantadas bilateralmente no NLET para administração dos fármacos. Vinte quatro horas antes dos experimentos um cateter de polietileno foi implantado na artéria femoral para registro dos parâmetros cardiovasculares. No dia do experimento, os animais foram submetidos a uma sessão aguda de 30 minutos de estresse por restrição 10 minutos após o tratamento farmacológico do NLET. Amplificador de potência para baixa frequência

In this work we report the development of a tube amplifier built to be used in magnetic probe diagnostic of plasma. The probe is used to measure the magnetic field in the theta-pinch system presently running in our university. We present the calculations and procedures to determine the configuration of circuits and specify the components of the power supply, the preamp stage and the power stage. The circuit configuration and the characteristics of the components was obtained. A representative model of the system behavior gave the transfer function of the amplifier. Theoretical predictions of frequency response and the feedback effects were compared to the experimental values and showed very good agreement. The amplifier works between a frequency bandwidth of 20 an 30 kHz and supply a maximum power of 12 W

Investigação da participação de adrenoceptores α1 no efeito antinociceptivo da amitriptilina em um modelo de dor neuropática

Tricyclic antidepressants, such as amitriptyline, are inhibitors of serotonin and norepinephrine neuronal reuptake and this action has been implied in changes in pain threshold supporting its use to alleviate neuropathic pain. Although is known that 1 adrenoceptors participate in the antinociceptive effect of amitriptyline it is unclear which receptor subtype is the target for the increased synaptic levels of norepinephrine resultant from the inhibition of neuronal uptake. Paradoxically, several tricyclic antidepressants including amitriptyline also behave as antagonists of 1 adrenoceptors with different affinities for its subtypes: these drugs have 10 to 100-fold higher affinities for 1A than for 1B and 1D adrenoceptors. This work investigated the involvement of 1 adrenoceptors subtypes in the antinociceptive effect of the amitriptyline in a constriction of the sciatic nerve in rats by determining the effects of subtype selective 1 adrenoceptors antagonists. Fifteen days later, mechanical hyperalgesia was analyzed in a Randall-Selitto test. The 1A-selective antagonist RS100329 was the most potent antagonist of the contractions of the rat prostate, whereas the 1D-selective antagonist BMY 7378 (up to 100g/Kg) was unable to affect these contractions. The antagonist prazosin, BMY 7378 and 5-methyl urapidil inhibited the antinociceptive effect of the amitriptyline. However, the highly selective 1A adrenoceptor antagonist RS100329 was unable to affect the antinociception induced by amitriptyline. These results point out that 1B and/or 1D adrenoceptors, but not 1A, are involved in the antinociceptive effects of amitriptyline

Participação dos receptores purinérgicos no núcleo do trato solitário sobre as respostas cardiorrespiratórias induzidas por hipóxia

A queda da pressão parcial de oxigênio no sangue arterial (PaO2), provocada pela hipóxia aguda, aumenta as descargas dos quimiorreceptores periféricos, carotídeos e aórticos, cujas aferências estimulam núcleos bulbares como o núcleo do trato solitário (NTS, Chitravanshi e cols., 1994, Mifflin, 1992), resultando em uma série de repostas compensatórias incluindo o aumento da VE ( Overgaard e cols., 1996, Sun e Reis, 1994). Estudos demonstraram que a via neural do quimiorreflexo periférico no NTS tem como neurotransmissores o L-glutamato e mais recentemente o ATP. Além disso, o ATP atuando em receptores purinérgicos presente na superfície ventral do bulbo estaria envolvido com as respostas cardiorrespiratórias induzidas por hipóxia. No entanto, a participação dos receptores purinérgicos do NTS sobre as respostas cardiorrespiratórias induzidas por hipóxia ainda é desconhecida. Portanto, o presente estudo investigou o envolvimento dos receptores purinérgicos P2 no NTS sobre as respostas cardiorrespiratórias induzidas por hipóxia em ratos acordados, usando injeção bilateral de suramin (antagonista inespecífico dos receptores P2) e PPADS (antagonista seletivo dos receptores P2X). Foram utilizados ratos Holtzman (290-310g, n=4-9/grupo) com implante de cânulas guia no NTS. Para medida da pressão arterial média (PAM) e freqüência cardíaca (FC) foi inserido na artéria abdominal, através da artéria femoral, um tubo de polietileno (P-10 conectado ao P-50). Influência do exercício resistido aplicado de forma aguda sobre a variabilidade da frequência cardíaca em jovens ativos saudáveis: análise por meio de índices geométricos

Introduction: The triangular index and the Poincaré plot (or Lorenz plot) are the best known indexes obtained from geometric methods. The triangular index (TINN, RRtri) represent the global variability of the subject and SD1, which reflects the parasympathetic component, SD2, index of global variability and its relationship (SD1/SD2) are obtained from the Poincaré plot. Despite the literature showing changes in the cardiovascular system during and after the resistance exercise (RE), aspects related to autonomic modulation of heart against these conditions have not been explored yet, so it is important to evaluate this behavior. Objectives: Analyze the acute effects of RE on the cardiac autonomic modulation during recovery (REC) through analysis of geometric indices of heart rate variability (HRV), applied with different intensities and muscle groups in healthy and active young. This article conducted an analysis of Portal Brazil, specifically in the areas of “Education” and “Economy and Employment”, by according to the principles of e-engagement defined by the Organization for Economic Co- operation and Development (OECD). For understanding of this work, were elucidated concepts such as public communication - trajectory, principles and relations -, digital democracy, e-government and engagement and civic participation. Through this analysis was realized the importance of public communication in the processes of opinion formation and stimulus to citizen participation, as well as the performance of the internet as a facilitator instrument in the processes of relationship between State and Society

A participação dos movimentos sociais na disputa pela água no Pontal do Paranapanema

É da disputa histórica pela posse da terra no Pontal do Paranapanema e dos conflitos daí desdobrantes que vem à tona as cifras marcantes das terras improdutivas e devolutas e, mais ainda, o descrédito em relação à Reforma Agrária e a negativa a qualquer possibilidade de acesso à terra, tais como a política de assentamentos em vigência, mas totalmente enfraquecida e desprestigiada. É nesse cenário que a apropriação da água ou sua privatização comparece como preocupação. A iniciativa do Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra (MST) em implantar um projeto de piscicultura, via o sistema tanques-rede para a subsistência e também como fonte de renda, nas águas represadas pelas UHEs enfrentará uma série de empecilhos e travagens de ordem burocrática, política e econômica. Variação inter-sexual na frequência de cromossomos Bs em Corydoras aeneus (Siluriformes: Callichthyidae)

The genus Corydoras, the highest among the Siluriformes, Callichthyidae is owned by the family, consisting of 177 valid species and widely distributed in cis-Andean portion of South America How striking feature has two longitudinal series of dermal plates covering almost the entire body. Cytogenetic studies in Callichthyidae show many chromosomal rearrangements, including events of polyploidy in their evolutionary history, particularly the genus Corydoras, in which the variation is the diploid number of 2n = 40 to 2n = 134 chromosomes. The absence of information on the frequency of chromosomes in the group Bs motivated this work with the species Corydoras aeneus. A population from the Tietê River basin in Ribeirão Claro (subbasin Corumbataí - Rio Claro, SP) was sampled a total of 20 subjects (10 males and 10 females) and 30 metaphases per individual were analyzed cytogenetically. Were carried out by impregnation techniques silver (Ag-NOR). The observed modal diploid number was 2n = 60 (26m +26 sm +8 st), with the variable occurrence of 1 or 2 Bs chromosomes in males and a B chromosome in females, both acrocentric. Regarding the variation in the frequency of chromosome Bs, the occurrence of two B chromosomes is directly linked to males, because there were no female sampled with the occurrence of two chromosomes Bs The low frequency of Bs in females suggests that this event can be sporadic this sex, different from males in which this appears to be set supernumerary chromosome showing a higher frequency of 2 Bs than the actual modal number of 2n = 60. Further studies will be performed to understand the dynamics of the B chromosome in the population

Uma proposta de intervenção com atividade física individualizada na deficiência intelectual: um estudo de caso

The practice of regular physical activity has been considered a protective factor against the degenerative processes of the body, acting as a promoter of health, especially for risk groups such as obese and resistant groups exercise adherence as among the intellectually disabled (ID) . This study involved the administration of a training protocol and the physical parameters of longitudinal health in a subject about 43 years, intellectually deficient, hypertensive, obese and with a strong predisposition to develop diabetes and heart disease. The main objective of long-term program was to reduce body weight and normalize blood pressure (BP) after the student's physical activity and preferentially interfere with BP values at rest (ie before the daily schedule). The other objective was to improve general physical fitness. The protocol involved four meetings per week lasting one hour, in addition to participation in the program PROEFA (twice a week with sessions of one hour each), totaling 57 sessions spread over five months. The evaluation protocol included in each session the following tests: blood pressure measurements and heart rate, and amount of physical activity recorded via pedometer. Tests applied before and after the training included: anthropometric assessment, agility test, flexibility test, test drive through vertical and horizontal jumps and endurance to the test bench. The mass (kg) and BMI corresponded to the initial values of 127.7 kg and 42.05 kg m-2, and 5 months after 113.2 kg and 37.48 kg m-2, respectively. The waist-hip ratio was close to 1 after the intervention and this value corresponded to 0.98. For the test of agility (shuttle run) was not found improvement in performance. Políticas culturais, participação e educação: o caso da rede Arte Cultura Rio Claro - SP (2008-2012)

No atual momento as redes sociais, fazendo uso dos meios digitais/virtuais e partindo para ações no real/presencial, têm tido cada vez mais papel político importante nas transformações das relações humanas. Nestas redes há compartilhamentos de diversas informações, documentos e materiais com conteúdos que auxiliam na formação, assimilação e aprendizagem tanto pelos participantes diretos destas redes quanto pelos demais sujeitos e cidadãos influenciados pelas ideais elaboradas a partir destas redes. Este projeto pretende estudar a rede “Arte Cultura Rio Claro” no período 2008 a 2012 tendo como foco a realização da I Conferência Municipal de Política Cultural e as lutas pela criação do Conselho Municipal de Política Cultural. O trabalho abordará: as trocas e compartilhamentos entre os integrantes desta rede, a realização de encontros, reuniões, fóruns; o recebimento do Prêmio do Ministério da Cultura como ‘Articulação da Rede’ e a realização do Projeto “Tuxáua”; a realização das pré-conferências e 1ª Conferência Municipal de Política Cultural; a criação do Conselho Municipal de Política Cultural; entre outros. O objetivo do projeto é avaliar a rede como processo participativo, mostrando a relevância da política cultural para a educação não-formal de uma comunidade, principalmente por conta das pautas desta rede trazerem tanto a importância de valorizar a diversidade cultural, quanto a importância da participação cidadã nas decisões políticas

Participação da família no tratamento de paciente em diálise peritoneal

Dramatic changes occur in the lives of patients on peritoneal dialysis and his family life, changing lifestyle, professional and social activities. Considering the important role of family in treatment, is crucial for nurses to know how these families perceive their role as caregivers and their difficulties and needs, in the process of peritoneal dialysis. The approach chosen for the study was the phenomenological method, based on Merleau-Ponty, who proposes to understand the human experience, from the description of those who lived it. The study findings show that in the beginning of treatment, family members, feel impacted with the disease severity and eager to become responsible for maintenance treatment, fearing not match the expectations.Guided by staff, appear confident in taking care and deal with the difficulties and complications of treatment, supported by professionals. However, resent the great changes in their social activities and work, his life turns out to be quite limited, due to the dedication to a sick family member. Many feel overwhelmed because they are not supported by other family members. Some envision a future outlook for renal transplant, others seem skeptical, given the long waiting list, especially when advanced age of the sick family member. These results suggest the need for individualized attention to family caregivers, and to encourage the family to organize itself and develop a joint work. In this sense, the design of health care, taking care with the focus of the family, it seems highly appropriate in preparing the plan of family orientation, this is defined as a dynamic unity, which, working in harmony, can contribute positively in the treatment of health a sick member

Análise da viabilidade econômica na implantação de inversores frequência em sistemas de bombeamento

The present work aims to conduct a study of the economic feasibility of the implementation of variable frequency inverters in pump systems with variable flow rates. The concern with the reduction of energy expenditure in industries raised in 2001 due to the energy crisis that hit Brazil at that time, forcing industries to reduce their electric costs under penalty of fines if this were not done (MOREIRA, 2008). Frequency inverter is an electronic device that allow greater control in the operation of pumping systems and also a reduction in electrical consumption, being a viable solution to achieve a reduction in energy consumption. For the development of this work, approaching important topics in pumping systems was necessary in order to make a correct choice of hydraulic pumping and also other components responsible for the operation of the system , such as electric motors and frequency inverters. In the case study, a theoretical analysis of the behavior of electrical consumption in systems with variable flow rates was performed, comparing when the system is operated via frequency inverters and when the system is operated without such a device. As expected, the result of the implantation of the device was quite satisfactory, and the primary goal of reducing energy expenditure was achieved. Also important to highlight the environmental issue of this work, as all forms of energy production affects nature in some way, achieving a reduction in consumption also contributes indirectly in environmental conservation

Agroecologia e redes sociais: análise da participação intersetorial. Um estudo a partir da rede de agroecologia Mantiqueira-Mogiana

O objetivo desse trabalho foi discutir a participação das diferentes instituições integrantes da Rede de Agroecologia Mantiqueira-Mogiana, organização social com enfoque no desenvolvimento comunitário coordenada pela Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (EMBRAPA), que trata da construção coletiva do aprendizado e da troca de experiências e intercâmbio de tecnologias em Agroecologia. Para tanto, foi proposto que as instituições participantes da Rede de Agroecologia respondessem um questionário que abrangia tópicos acerca da participação de tais instituições bem como de estruturação e gestão da Rede. Tendo o estudo tratado da participação das instituições, foram contatados os profissionais dessas organizações envolvidos diretamente com as atividades da Rede, por ser de conhecimento prévio que tais instituições são representadas no projeto por um determinado profissional com maior identificação pessoal com o campo da Agroecologia. Tais opiniões foram posteriormente analisadas enquanto representativas das instituições as quais esses profissionais estão vinculados. Os dados obtidos revelaram a necessidade de um acordo formal entre a Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária e as instituições participantes do projeto, o que permitiria que os profissionais pudessem participar de forma mais efetiva das atividades da Rede de Agroecologia, integrando as atividades do Colegiado Gestor com as atividades das instituições as quais esses profissionais são vinculados. Foi possível observar também que para que os objetivos de uma determinada rede de desenvolvimento comunitário sejam atingidos é necessário que estes estejam em consonância com as motivações que as instituições parceiras apresentam para participar de tal rede. Dessa forma, é possível congregar esforços de todas as partes para que o objetivo coletivo seja atingido.

A participação social através do crowdfunding: uma análise dos projetos da plataforma catarse

This study examined the practices of crowdfunding, collective vehicle of fundraising for the production of works of culture, education, social programs etc over the internet. Through the analysis of registered projects and finalized in Brazilian site funding col-laborative Catarse, we were able to list interesting points to be considered to deter-mine what lead people to cooperate or not with this kind of practice. It was noticed that the internet materialized in front of individuals as an important vehicle for social participation, enabling the concern to collaborate on projects, people and causes that have common characteristics or interests bring benefits to society
