Investigação da colaboração científica na temática de indexação em periódicos on-line em âmbito nacional

This research seeks to demonstrate the scientific collaboration in the field of Information Science, specifically in the thematic indexing, by analyzing the co-authors network, based on scientific collaboration in Brazilian journals online, according to CAPES. We selected six Brazilian journals online, namely: Ciência da Informação; Transinformação; Perspectivas da Ciência da Informação; Encontros BIBLI: Revista Eletrônica de Biblioteconomia e Ciência da Informação; DataGramaZero and Em Questão, totaling 25 articles. It was built in coauthorship network, using Pajek software in order to evaluate interactions between researchers and cohesion of the network by calculating its density.

Escolhas das letras por crianças no início da Alfabetização

A presente pesquisa tem como foco verificar como se dá a apropriação da escrita por crianças no início da alfabetização, especificamente quais os recursos utilizados pelas crianças quanto às escolhas das letras durante o ato de escrever. Tem como objetivo geral analisar o processo de aquisição da escrita; verificar quais são escolhas realizadas pelas crianças durante esse processo e como objetivos específicos verificar quais os recursos utilizados pelas crianças na apropriação da linguagem escrita; como se dá o processo de escolhas das letras na apropriação da linguagem escrita por crianças no início da alfabetização e se as escolhas das letras são feitas com base somente no oral ou se são feitas tendo como foco a função que a letra ocupa na palavra durante o ato discursivo. Para alcançar os objetivos o procedimento metodológico adotado é da pesquisa-ação. Os pressupostos teóricos têm com base os conceitos defendidos por Bakhtin sobre linguagem, enunciação, gênero do discurso, e de função e de estrutura por Vygotsky entre outros, e contribuições de Smith, sobre equivalência funcional das letras. O levantamento de dados empíricos será realizado em uma Escola Estadual na cidade de Marília, com crianças de primeiro e segundo ano do ensino fundamental. A pesquisa encontra-se em estágio inicial, mas com base nos autores mencionados podemos concluir que as crianças utilizam diversos recursos no momento de escolhas das letras e não se apóiam somente na relação grafo - fônica.

Destaque da produção científica brasileira em odontologia no cenário mundial e a influência no comportamento informacional do profissional cirurgião-dentista

The brazilian research in the field of dentistry stand on the world stage, this article examines the relationship of scientific information produced and its influence on information behavior of dentists who need to constantly update their clinical practice. The method used consists in a survey of the bibliometric indicators in the field of dentistry in SCimago published from 1996 to 2009 and a literature review of articles dealing with the thematic information and scientific communication in the field of dentistry in Brazil that are related to issues relevant for analyzing the dentist’s information behavior, such as most read journals, scientific information in the clinical practice, among others.

Contribuição de indicadores bibliométricos para a pesquisa em Ciência da Informação: análise da produção científica em Odontologia no Brasil

This paper aims at contributing with research about Information Science through analysis of Bibliometric indicators applied to Dentistry in Brazil, comparing the impact of such production with the ones from major countries in that field. The analyzed indicators are the following: total number of citations, self-citations, average of citations received a year and index h. Within the procedures, we outlined, in the Scimago Journal Rank (SJR) the group of producing countries in the field of Dentistry from 1996 to 2009. The results show that Brazil is the only country in Latin America which is among those of major impact in Dentistry. We highlight the role of the Bibliometric indicators as methodological contribution to the research while pointing out the main “performers” in the knowledge field.

Colaboração científica na temática redes sociais: análise bibliométrica do ENANCIB no período 2009 - 2010

The aim of this research is to point out the most productive researchers and institutions in the “Social Network” theme, in the ENANCIBs, from 2009 to 2010, as well as to describe their institutional scientific collaboration network. As research procedure, we searched for works with the entry network in the annuals of the event. 169 works were found, from which 120 were developed in co-authorship by 40 institutions. A matrix with the institutional coauthorships was created and the scientific collaboration network was reached. The results point out the same number of both most productive institutions and most productive authors. As for the scientific collaboration network, it is relevant that 37 institutions are interconnected by co-authorship. It’s also relevant that the studies in social network have been more and more present in the Information Science, mainly as investigative method for the construction of knowledge.

Análise da presença e articulação teórica da Catalogação de Assunto na literatura científica da International Society for Knowledge Organization ISKO: uma análise de domínio

Subject Cataloging is one of the processes of subject approach to information, beside indexing and subject analysis. In this sense, this research is a part of a broader project which analyses ISKO as an academic space that promotes a dialogical dimension among those theoretical questions. In this sense, it aims to analyze the presence of subject cataloguing in the discussions of knowledge organization as well as how the authors of such subject dialogue each other. Considering the questions, the full collection of ISKO and ISKO-Spain conference proceedings were analyzed in order to verify how present were subject cataloguing matters in those collections. It was possible to identify a group of 36 articles (27 from International ISKO and 9 from ISKO – Spain) whose references were bibliometrically analyzed in terms of documentary forms, average life, language and citation analysis. The results showed that the major ISKO and ISKO-Spain literature on subject cataloguing is based on journal articles, mostly published in English, presenting a relatively young average life (14 years for ISKO and 10 for ISKO-Spain).

A produção científica: uma análise de coautorias do PPGCI/Campus de Marília entre 2001 a 2009

This research aimed to identify the scientific production for articles published in its typology of the Post Graduated Program in Information Science, Unesp, Marília. Particularly, it was evaluated co-authored articles written by researcher teachers from the Program and built networks of scientific collaboration and the calculation of some indicators. As research procedure, reports of CAPES evaluation between the years 2001 to 2009 were considered it articles produced in co-authorship. It was built up a network of co-authoring, using the software Pajek, and calculated the indicators of density and centrality of the network, allowing analysis of the intensity of network connectivity and the role of each player individually and the network as a whole. We analyzed the collaborative network in order to visualize the partnerships among the researchers from the three research lines and between them and their collaborators to verify the connection intensity.

A alfabetização sob o olhar da Teoria Histórico Cultural: sobre a necessidade e a atividade de estudo

Studies on activity and learning in the cultural-historical approach involves, most cases, the discussions on the higher psychological functions and areas of proximal and real development. Having said that our objective in this paper is to make a discussion about the activity of study and the concepts that involve the teaching of the mother language from the Historic-Cultural theory. We point this way, the importance of this approach in studies on literacy and knowledge of the activity of study as central to the creation of humanizing need of reading and writing, starting from the principle that the creation of needs requires the production of discourses, which have their materiality in the text.

A produção científica sobre diagnóstico de enfermagem NANDA no Brasil: revisão integrativa da literatura-UNESP – Botucatu

Concern about the identity of nursing professionals has existed since Florence Nightingale. The exercise of the nursing profession must be based on scientific principles so that the actual health problems of a given community can be assessed and actions targeted at improving the population’s quality of life can be designed from such assessments. This problem assessment is referred to as Nursing Diagnosis. NANDA defines diagnosis as “a clinical judgment about individual, family or community responses to actual or potential health problems/life processes. Nursing diagnosis provides the basis for selection of nursing interventions to achieve outcomes for which nurses are accountable”. The present study aimed at investigating the scientific production on Nursing Diagnosis (NANDA). This is an literature review. For data collection, an instrument that addressed the following items was used: identification of original articles and evaluation of their objectives, methodological characteristics, results and conclusion. In the present review, 15 articles that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed. They were all authored by nurses. Four articles addressed obstetrics, puerperium and neonatology, and the diagnosis of an unsatisfactory breastfeeding process was observed in 100% of cases. As regards chronic diseases, four articles were found, and two exclusively addressed diabetes, with a main diagnosis of an ineffective control of the therapeutic regimen. Three articles addressed the elderly, and the main diagnosis found was hindered mobility in more than 90% of cases. As regards, sexually transmitted diseases, one article was found with three diagnoses with 100% for disturbed sleep patterns, infection risk and ineffective protection. Aplicações da ilustração científica em ciências biológicas

A Ilustração Científica é um trabalho que consiste na representação fiel de um material biológico determinado, respeitando-se todas as medidas, proporções e contraste de cores, mesmo que em preto e branco. Por isso, a capacidade de observação é uma qualidade indispensável para que se tenha um bom resultado. Podem ser desenhos de materiais vivos, extintos, arqueológicos e até processos cirúrgicos e devem ser claro em significado, não poluído e que não provoque nenhum tipo de incompreensão ou dúvidas. Ela é altamente utilizada no meio acadêmico tendo um vasto campo de aplicação, variando desde trabalhos mais simples e esquemáticos aos mais complexos com alto nível de acabamento e detalhamento. Independentemente à técnica, as ilustrações científicas ainda são uma ferramenta de extrema importância e de grande utilização, sendo muito solicitadas por pesquisadores, que desejam enriquecer seus trabalhos, torná-los mais explicativos, mais claros, e mais didáticos. Por mais que se tenha a possibilidade das fotografias modernas, um desenho empregando técnicas tradicionais como acabamento é totalmente indispensável, já que a foto, por mais sofisticada e cheia de recursos que possua a máquina, não consegue transmitir todos os detalhes e estruturas que se deseja em uma mesma fotografia. O artista tem a liberdade de montar uma prancha com aquilo que o pesquisador precisa, usando sua percepção visual e destreza para reproduzir com exatidão o material em questão. Recursos digitais, ao contrário do que muitos acreditam, não tiraram o espaço das técnicas tradicionais, mas veio como mais uma opção de ferramenta de trabalho que, aliás, para usá-la é necessário saber desenhar igualmente àquele que não se utiliza desse recurso. Paleontologia e evolução em revista popular de divulgação científica e suas implicações para o ensino de biologia

Considerando que Biologia no Ensino Médio tem como linha de abordagem Evolução Biológica e que matérias publicadas em revistas de divulgação científica têm apresentado problemas que interferem negativamente na construção de conhecimentos específicos, nos propusemos a investigar tanto a natureza e a qualidade da divulgação de temas da Paleontologia e Evolução na revista Superinteressante, por ser de grande penetração, quanto o preparo, a opinião e a forma de atuação de professores de Biologia no que se refere a esses assuntos. Nosso objetivo, diante dessa problemática, centrou-se na compreensão das implicações que as matérias de Paleontologia e Evolução dessa revista representam no contexto do ensino de Biologia. Publicações de 2000 a 2010 foram analisadas e revelaram grande número de matérias sobre os temas destacados, principalmente nos 6 primeiros anos. Elas foram marcadas por abordagem sensacionalista e visão determinista da ciência, erros conceituais, dados inexatos e distorcidos, ilustrações inadequadas e linguagem informal, muitas vezes anedótica, que distorcem e vulgarizam as informações. Os professores, que revelaram fazer amplo uso de materiais de divulgação científica, especialmente revistas, para atualização e preparação de aulas, desenvolvem esses dois temas principalmente no 3º ano do Ensino Médio por meio de aulas teóricas, comprometendo o interesse e entendimento, pelo aluno, da origem e diversificação da vida na história geológica da Terra. Concluímos que é imperativo investir na capacitação teórico-prática de professores para que sejam capazes de análises adequadas das informações disponíveis nas matérias de divulgação, podendo até mesmo fazer uso delas no ensino básico, porém sem comprometer a construção das idéias e conceitos envolvidos

O lúdico no processo de alfabetização

O processo de alfabetização no âmbito formal (escolar) tem ocorrido, nos últimos anos, cada vez mais precocemente. Diante do cenário da obrigatoriedade de que o ensino fundamental deva ter a duração mínima de nove anos, é fato que a criança antecipa seu ingresso na escola. Desta forma, parte da sua infância e de seu aprendizado que antes ocorria em diferentes espaços – família, praças públicas, com brincadeiras pelas ruas do bairro em que vivia, passa agora a ser dividida com a escola. Quando pensamos nas atividades mais realizadas por crianças na faixa etária em que atualmente se inicia o processo de alfabetização, o brincar é a referência principal dessas atividades. Assim, o que antes estava pautado no brincar, no fantasiar, na diversão, com o processo de alfabetização, esses aspectos tendem a assumir um caráter mais formal. Está claramente posto na literatura que o brincar é algo constante na vida das crianças, sendo este um meio pelo qual a criança aprende, desenvolve e interage com o mundo. Considerando esses apontamentos, é possível questionar: como tem se dado o processo de alfabetização nas séries iniciais do ensino fundamental Há “espaços” para o aprender brincando no processo de alfabetização? Se sim, como ele tem se configurado Se não, quais as dificuldades encontradas para que aprender e brincar no processo de alfabetização possam se efetivar Diante de tais questionamentos, desenvolveu-se uma pesquisa qualitativa utilizando-se da metodologia da problematização, que envolveu observação em uma escola no interior paulista, identificação dos pontos-chave, a teorização através de levantamento bibliográfico, formulação de hipóteses e realização de atividades na prática na escola pesquisada. Estes procedimentos favoreceram para entender e refletir sobre a temática buscando alternativas para alfabetizar de forma prazerosa

Sistemas técnicos agrícolas e cafeicultura científica globalizada no sul de Minas Gerais

The study aims to analyze the mechanization of the main coffee growing region in the south of Minas Gerais, in force, especially from the 1970s. But you get new content from the1990s, with the introduction of new information technologies. The use of machines in production processes appear as one of the great transformations of coffee in the period modern after globalization, requiring a labor more specialized, although resulting in unemployment in rural areas. So in the period of globalization new technologies gradually replace manual work. In the coffee farm, the old ways of the production (that handed down from father to son) aren't accepted by the global scientific agriculture (Santos, 2000:88). They are considered inefficient and low quality, but not attendant of patterns the international market. The national companies producing agricultural machines for coffee with emphasis on the company Pinhalense Agricultural Machinery SA believe that the producers of the region are its biggest customers in the country, considering the degree of mechanization more pronounced compared to other coffee growing regions.
