Efeitos de instruções preliminares sobre o seguimento de regras

O presente estudo teve como objetivo testar os efeitos de diferentes instruções preliminares sobre o seguimento de regras. Dezoito estudantes universitários foram expostos a um procedimento modificado de escolha de acordo com o modelo e distribuídos em três grupos, que diferiram quanto às instruções preliminares recebidas (completa, sem trechos sobre materiais ou sem trechos sobre conseqüências). Os participantes de cada grupo foram divididos em duas condições experimentais, em que instruções correspondentes ou discrepantes foram apresentadas. Os resultados mostraram que a ausência de trechos sobre materiais dificulta a realização da tarefa e a ausência de trechos sobre as conseqüências diminui a variação de respostas, porém todos os participantes que realizaram corretamente a tarefa seguiram tanto instruções correspondentes quanto discrepantes.

Formation of an extended CoSi2 thin nanohexagons array coherently buried in silicon single crystal

A Co-doped silica film was deposited on the surface of a Si(100) wafer and isothermally annealed at 750 degrees C to form spherical Co nanoparticles embedded in the silica film and a few atomic layer thick CoSi2 nanoplatelets within the wafer. The structure, morphology, and spatial orientation of the nanoplatelets were characterized. The experimental results indicate that the nanoplatelets exhibit hexagonal shape and a uniform thickness. The CoSi2 nanostructures lattice is coherent with the Si lattice, and each of them is parallel to one of the four planes belonging to the {111} crystallographic form of the host lattice. TAXONOMY OF THE SOUTH AMERICAN DWARF BOAS OF THE GENUS TROPIDOPHIS BIBRON, 1840, WITH THE DESCRIPTION OF TWO NEW SPECIES FROM THE ATLANTIC FOREST (SERPENTES: TROPIDOPHIIDAE)

A taxonomic study on the South American dwarf boas of the genus Tropidophis revealed the existence of two new species in the Atlantic Forest bionic. As a result, we recognize five mainland species, three in the Atlantic Forest and two in northwestern South America. Based on general distribution and morphological orientation, the type locality of T. paucisquamis is restricted to Estacao Biologica de Boraceia (EBB), municipality of Salesopolis, state of Sao Paulo, Brazil; furthermore, a lectotype for T. taczanowskyi is designated. We provide data on the hemipenial morphology of two South American Tropidophis, showing that the quadrifurcate condition described for West Indian taxa also occurs in mainland congeners. The distributions of the three Atlantic Forest species are congruent with patterns of diversification of other vertebrate taxa associated with cold climates prevalent at high elevations. Refugial isolation and riverine barriers may account for such speciation events.
