The research aims to map and understand the SAI- Integrated Agroindustrial System of SEBRAE, topic program directed to small and medium "rural entrepreneurs". The SAI policy seeks targeted result saiming to qualify productive agents (smallholders) to a "mark et under construction". In the study I high light the "production location", as a constituent en vironment with own productive and defining characteristics of this location and of the productive agent. I aim to perceive the location (region of Araraquara) as a topic en vironment of a type of "alternative "agriculture, that in principle is “parallel” to the large hegemonic model of the economies of scale, of monoculture and concentrative, which in the region is taken as that of the "sugarcane industry". I understand the coexistence of these different models as central to understand the development of capitalism, which I treat as "cognitive capitalism".

The consumers' requirements are constantly growing, as well as the concern for the environment. Considering this change of scenario, industrial companies started paying more attention to environmental issues and decided to resort to solutions such as the adoption of the Environmental Management System based on the ISO 14001 model. It is believed that the adoption of this model changes the organizational image, both internally and externally. This possible change was the focus of this research, considering that many publics related to certified companies may have the wrong idea about what being a green company really means. The objective of this study is to verify, through a survey research, the relation between the Environmental Management System based on ISO 14001 with organizational image of Brazilian firms. At first, this paper presents a theoretical review on Environmental Management System, IS0 14001, Organizational image, green Marketing, Greenwashing and Public Relations. Next, the research method is presented, as well as the results obtained through theoretical study, the research application and data analysis, and a brief analysis of the Public Relations' role in the organizational environment at issue. The Knowledge Management represents a new vision of management of organizations, since information and knowledge are the main factors of competitiveness, today, of individuals, organizations and nations. The university plays a key role alongside with government and industry in the generation of technological innovations that can help the society progress, and the University Library is an important disseminator of scientific information. The main challenges of organizations involved in Knowledge Management are concentrated in the management of cultural and behavioral changes of its human resources and in creating an environment conducive to create, use and share information and knowledge. Within this context the question arises: How do University Libraries in Brazil and Portugal employ people management and knowledge management in order to improve the quality of its services and the productivity of their institutions? To answer it we developed a descriptive-analytic research, using the method of comparative study, analyzing 69 organizations. According to the survey results, the people management issues were the worst assessed in relation to other aspects of Knowledge Management, showing a weak dissemination of these practices in the University Libraries of Brazil and Portugal and the great need for initiatives to help develop them.

Este artigo tem o propósito de examinar os desafios e oportunidades relacionados à implementação de sistemas de gestão ambiental baseados na Norma ISO 14001:2004 nas Instituições de Ensino Superior e como elas podem se adequar aos requisitos para possuir um sistema de gestão ambiental (SGA). O estudo envolve análises sobre as implicações da adoção de sistemas de gestão ambiental por universidades e sobre os aspectos relevantes na adoção de SGAs com base na Norma ISO 14001, como barreiras, benefícios, motivações, práticas e fatores críticos de sucesso. Luzes são lançadas, assim, a um tema de crescente importância (sistemas de gestão ambiental), com foco em objeto analítico ainda pouco analisado do ponto de vista ambiental (Instituições de Ensino Superior).

In recent decades, two research themes have been prominent in the academic and organizational setting: lean manufacturing and green management. Since 1996, when Florida (1996) wrote an article focusing on the synergy between these two areas, the debate if “Lean is Green?” enters in the academic field. It is in this context that this research presents the results of a systematic literature on the topic, focusing on the characteristics, positive and negative impacts, lean paradigms, green paradigms and design of supply chains. To perform this procedure it were followed the methodological footsteps of Lage Junior and Godinho Filho (2010). The research occurred in the database Scopus and it was conducted from June, 2012 to July, 2012.The key word used was “green lean” and as search filter it were included only articles and conference Papers. Their main result is a deep analysis of the accumulated knowledge on the subject, where it is revealed that the majority of studies point to the synergy between some components of the lean manufacturing system in relation to environmental management. The research gap found is related to articles that address the entropy of the union of lean and green systems.

Gracias al contexto económico actual y la gran competencia entre bodegas se debe apuntar a la excelencia en todos los procesos, tanto desde los procesos productivos básicos hasta las tareas administrativas cotidianas deben funcionar de la manera más eficiente posible, facilitando los controles y reduciendo los tiempos de ejecución, siempre apuntando a reducir los costos operativos. Se detectó en esta empresa, un sistema de control administrativo de personal desactualizado e insuficiente para abarcar las necesidades actuales, esto sumado a las deficiencias que este sistema presentaba en cuanto a su uso diario fue que se vio la necesidad de una mejora. Mediante este trabajo de investigación se buscará analizar detalladamente los puntos débiles y fuertes del sistema de control administrativo de personal que posee la bodega. Este sistema es utilizado en numerosas actividades cotidianas de la empresa
