Este trabalho apresenta as características do meio físico da Bacia do Rio Bacanga, localizada na cidade de São Luís (MA). Dentro da compartimentação geomorfológica regional, a área insere-se no Golfão Maranhense, sendo caracterizada por duas unidades de relevo: colinas dissecadas a partir dos tabuleiros e planícies flúvio-marinhas. Os estudos objetivaram a elaboração de um mapa geológico- geotécnico, fundamentado no método do detalhamento progressivo, sendo integradas as informações geológicas, geomorfológicas e de solos em uma base topográfica na escala de 1:20.000. Para esses estudos foi utilizada como ferramenta principal a fotointerpretação detalhada, associada ao controle de campo e ensaio in situ. No mapa resultante foram caracterizadas seis unidades geológico-geotécnicas: Unidade I – depósitos construídos; Unidade II – áreas planas de fundo de vales; Unidade III – terrenos associados à fácies arenosa da Formação Barreiras; Unidade IV – fácies areno-argilosa da Formação Barreiras; Unidade V – área de domínio da fácies areno-argilosa da Formação Barreiras; Unidade VI – domínio da Formação Itapecuru. Nas unidades foram identificados os processos geológicos e os problemas ambientais que compõem a dinâmica da bacia do Rio Bacanga. O mapa elaborado é uma das ferramentas indispensáveis para subsidiar o planejamento do uso e ocupação do solo. A obra Corola, de Claudia Roquette-Pinto (2000), apresenta um projeto poético consistente advindo do emprego de recursos expressivos metalinguísticos e da coesa estrutura da obra. O recurso à intratextualidade favorece a unidade e as reflexões metalinguísticas dos 48 poemas que compõem a obra. O diálogo com a tradição literária é simultâneo à consciência dos enunciadores de que a poesia de Corola é intervalar e físsil. Os 47 primeiros poemas sem título de Corola constroem forte relação de continuidade e interdependência reveladora da presença de uma “teoria” do fazer poético baseada em intempéries. O lirismo de Corola não apresenta marcas de autocomiseração em relação à situação de náufrago anunciada no último poema da obra. Os adjetivos exausto, roto, desacreditado, atribuídos ao eu poético, fazem com que ele se desdobre em outro, apreciador crítico de seus próprios ruídos poéticos e refém consciente de um tempo lacunar e intermitente que favorece a construção de uma poética da paciente espera pelo resgate da poesia e do desdobramento em leitor-espectador de si mesmo e do texto poético. Analisaremos alguns procedimentos metalingüísticos e as inquietações compositivas anunciadas pelos eus poéticos de Corola, além da recorrente figura do jardim como espaço poético.

The State of Mato Grosso do Sul is in full growth of this sector, thus the concern about harvesting systems are being studied, and these systems may influence the weed community interference of weeds in the cane sugar. The integrated management tool attached to geostatistics is to avoid productivity losses due to weed interference. The objective of this work was to study the spatial variability of the seed bank of weeds depending on the system for collecting cane sugar (raw and burning). The experiment was conducted in the area of commercial cultivation of the plant ETH Bioenergy S/A Eldorado Unity. Soil samples were taken with auger layer from 0.00 to 0.40 m depth in both cropping systems. The experimental plot was composed by a mesh consisting of 50 points georeferenced with irregular distances. Soil samples were taken to the greenhouse for germination. The number of weed species was analyzed using descriptive statistics and geostatistical techniques. The seeds of B. pilosa, dicots, bitter grass, nutsedge, dayflower monocots and spatial dependence of the seed bank in the collection system with burning of cane sugar. For the system of harvest only the raw sedge species present spatial dependence of distribution in the seed bank. In the harvest green cane enable the mapping of these species through the kriging maps produced, spot applications of herbicides in integrated management of Cyperus rotundus.

The violence staged by young people has often been subjected to scientific analysis. The way youths speak, in their role as aggressors or as victims, is examined to determine how they experience violence in a number of different spheres. Repeated group interviews are used to analyze how violence is explained and depicted within the family, at school and in the neighbourhood by two groups of young people (14-17 years old) attending the same school on the outskirts of Rio Claro, Sao Paulo, Brazil. One of the groups involved is identified by the school as violent, and the other, as non-violent. Discourse analysis leads to two conclusions. First, the different contexts of violence infuse a mistrust of institutions, the environment and personal relationships into the subjects' experience, forming a fabric that clouds future prospects. Second, the group of youths identified as violent have a more simplistic, pessimistic view of reality: They see the world in black and white, and they lay no stock in the possibility that violence can be avoided. Consequently, they use violence and understand violence as a defensive strategy that gives one identity. On the other hand, the group identified as nonviolent feels it possible to intervene in situations with nonviolent tools like words. For the young subjects, violence is a context that they assume; it cancels their ability to identify rules and institutions, but it does not generate an effective interaction strategy. Violence causes their social microcontext (in which action prevails over meaning or meaning equals action) to assume overblown dimensions. Any intervention strategy must take into account this indissoluble unity between meaning and action.

The project, developed at the Health and Education Studies´ Center, in the Unity of the Science and Philosophy’s College, UNESP, Marilia´s campus, had as goal the development of a study about the appropriation of writing by children with Down ’s syndrome. Five children, from 10 to 13 years old, on different situations of scholar levels, were took part in the project. As research procedure, it was developed weekly pedagogical interventions, based on HistoricalCultural Theory. At the beginning, the group presented different dimensions of approximation with the writing universe. It was observed advances on the graphic representation and on the individual trials of writing. Two childrens began to build small texts, one of the children is on the beginning of the alphabetic writing and two other children continue to present difficulties, getting close of the writing in a very not confortable way, stuck on the scholar formality and a direct mediation to the words constitution is needed.

In this article we aimed the identification and the analysis of the “textual configuration aspects” from the speeches of the “high authorities” of public instruction in São Paulo contained in Annuarios do ensino do estado de São Paulo, centrally those published between 1907 and 1927, on the direction of public instruction and its teachers statewide. This formulation resulted from the need to search the peculiar aspects of these discourses, that is, from a conductor thread through which and by vitue of which these discourses have been produced. It was concluded at the end, the common orientation mentioned to speeches was to bring the idea together, a sense of unity to the sphere of public education in the state, which would characterize the called school apparatus in São Paulo.
