In line with educational issues involved in emergent literacy practices in preschool, in particular those concerning comprehension processes, this paper focuses on picture-based narrative comprehension during an interactive reading session of a wordless picture book, involving a group of children aged three and their teacher. Children are asked to make inferences about the meaning and outcome of the story, a procedure which gradually elicits their responses on how events link together, thus enhancing their capacity to use prior and implicit knowledge to build the story meaning. Moreover, this study highlights the importance of interaction for developing comprehension. Data collected was analysed following didactic microgenesis, an analytical approach showing that knowledge built during interaction depends on the joint construction of a zone of common meaning by which teacher and children try to adjust to each other. In order to help the process of merging different meanings of the story built online, a text written by researchers, following the narrative structure of the story, was read by the teacher after the picture-based reading. This led us to examine through interactional analysis which semiotic cues were used during recall on the following day, as an additional measure of knowledge construction.

Introduction : Multimorbidity (MM) is currently a major health concern for hospitalized patients but little is known about the relative importance of MM in the general population. Accordingly we assessed whether MM could be a good predictor of overall mortality. Method : Data from the population based CoLaus Study: 3239 participants (1731 women, mean age 50+/-9 years) followed for a median time of 5.4 years (range 0.4 to 8.5 years). MM was defined as presenting >=2 morbidities according to Barnett et al. (27 items, measured data). Survival analysis was conducted using Cox regression. Results : During follow-up, 53 (1.6%) participants died. Participants who died had a higher number of morbidities (2.4 +/- 1.6 vs. 1.9 +/- 1.5, p<0.05) and had a higher prevalence of MM (69.8% vs. 55.9%, p<0.05). On bivariate analysis, presence of MM (defined as a yes/no variable) was significantly related with overall mortality: relative risk (RR) of 1.84, 95% confidence interval [1.02; 3.31], p<0.05 (see figure), but this association became non-significant after adjusting for age, gender and smoking: RR=1.68 [0.93; 3.04], p=0.09. Similar results were obtained when using the number of morbidities: RR for an extra morbidity 1.22 [1.05; 1.44], p<0.02; after adjusting for age, gender and smoking, RR=1.16 [0.99; 1.37], p=0.07. Conclusion : During a short 5 year observation period, measured MM in the general population is associated with overall mortality. This association becomes borderline significant after multivariate adjustment. These observations will have to be confirmed during a longer follow-up period. This increased mortality in MM patients may require developing specific strategies of screening and prevention.

El objetivo del presente trabajo consistió en analizar la valoración que realizan los alumnos de la asignatura Análisi de Dades en Psicologia de los diferentes materiales puestos a su disposición para el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de esta materia, con el fin último de poder facilitar al alumnado el material más adecuado para el fomento de su trabajo autónomo. Para ello se administró un cuestionario elaborado ad-hoc en el que se preguntó sobre el diferente tipo de material que tenían a su disposición los alumnos matriculados en esta asignatura en el primer semestre del curso académico 2008-09; en concreto se trabajó con una muestra de 391 estudiantes. Los resultados mostraron que el material mejor evaluado fue el tradicional, es decir, el formulario de la asignatura, el dossier de problemas junto con sus soluciones y las clases, tanto las magistrales como prácticas; en tanto que el material más basado en las nuevas tecnologías fue el peor valorado (CD-Roms interactivos, páginas Web, glosario generado por los alumnos en el campus virtual de la asignatura).

Aquest dossier es titula "Jeanne Hersch" i, això no obstant, començaré referint-me a un diccionari i a Hannah Arendt (1906-1975). Prego un temps de benevolència per al següent desplegament de dades que, en aparença, no vénen a tomb. L'any 1979 es publicava a Madrid la sisena edició d'una obra monumental, el Diccionario de Filosofía de José Ferrater Mora (1912-1991). Aquesta edició fou reimpresa, si més no, set cops en vida del seu autor. La setena reimpressió és de 1990,1 i és la que em serveix per a allò que vull comentar aquí.

Cet article interroge les critères de choix d'un expert judiciaire par les magistrats en charge d'un dossier, à partir d'une étude empirique. Après un détour par l'international afin de spécifier les positions de ces deux acteurs sur la scène judiciaire française, les principaux critères sont décrits. Parmi eux, la célérité , la confiance, la spécialité ou la discipline démontrent que le choix de l'expert s'effectue selon plusieurs dimensions, procédurales bien sûr, mais aussi axiologiques, d'une part, et expérientielles, d'autre part.
