This experimental project focused on a specialization in journalism that is becoming increa-singly present in the media: the gastronomic journalism. The aim was to understand the speci-ficities of segmentation in the news and editorial spreads profile area for deepening the dining experience in contemporary society, considering the contribution of information to maintain proper eating habits and cultural enrichment of the reader. The research involved a literature review and survey of the history of gastronomy and cultural aspects, analysis and reporting framework for the months of August and September 2010 the Food section of the newspaper Folha de S. Paul, Taste of the book, the newspaper O Estado de S. Paul and the Menu maga-zine segment, Publisher of Three in order to identify the presence of aspects related to culture, history, health and nutrition

Mercado Público em Presidente Prudente

A cidade de Presidente Prudente conta com um pequeno mercado público de difícil acesso e poucos usuários, em um espaço que surgiu como um local provisório. Após 20 anos o edifício se encontra no mesmo lugar para a insatisfação dos comerciantes e usuários. O trabalho propõe a criação de um novo mercado público próximo ao Centro Cultural Matarazzo e IBC, criando um eixo cultural para a cidade, na região da linha férrea. O novo edifício integra com o antigo silo das Indústrias Anderson Clayton, cria praças com parque infantil, academia da terceira idade, teatro arena, ponto de ônibus, mesas e bancos. O projeto se fundamenta em metodologias visando criar espaços públicos bem sucedidos, ressaltados pelos benefícios dos mercados públicos na atualidade. Análise do programa Supernanny e a repercussão nas famílias

In the modern world it is common to witness the family or the school complaining about the behavior of children. Parents have lost control of how to educate their children, who have difficulty in following rules, boundaries and discipline. In the short time they stay with their children, their parents feel desperate in how to educate and seek the help of experts who apply techniques inspired by behavioral therapy. A recent phenomenon is the search of the family by the media, so that helps to set limits for their children. The main objective of this study is to identify intervention techniques used in television show called Supernanny, verifying the concept of education and its effects on family. The methodology is exploratory research, using technical analysis as a specific program for television, videorecorded. Data analysis was performed by a video recording of the three programs shown, which were compared using frames. Contact that currently, the parent-child relationship is permeated by a lack of boundaries, which causes families to seek guidance from experts and the media - which is one of the most powerful means of dissemination and communication. The program presents Supernanny behavioral techniques that seem to work with a simple sleight of hand, but in real life translates into a long-time adjustments, challenges and frustrations. Moreover, many of them induce the conditioning, to achieve something by means of strengthening and heteronomy, which leads the viewer to take a more critical eye on those programs

Análise da viabilidade de motorização elétrica do soprador no ciclo regenerativo da unidade de craqueamento catalítico fluidizado em uma refinaria

One of the biggest environmental problems of today is the climate change. Experts affirm that this global warming is related to the greenhouse effect. Its causes are directly related to human activity, especially the use of fossil fuels. In this context, companies around the world are challenged to improve energy efficiency in order to reduce the environmental impact and work toward the so-called tripod of sustainable development that focuses on the social, economic and environmental aspects of a business strategy. The first step a company can make in this regard is to conduct an inventory of emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs). The reduction of GHG emissions in a refinery can be achieved by replacing steam turbines with electric motors to drive big machines, this reduction is achieved by relieving the steam consumption for electric power available or purchased. An important aspect associated with the reduction of GHG emissions is the best performance of the Energy Intensity Index (ERI). The objective of this study was to analyze the feasibility of the blower motorization in the regenerative cycle of a fluidized catalytic cracking unit at a specific refinery. For development work, two methods were used, the initial screening and optimization scenarios with the help of software Butyl. The results indicate that after a certain cost of natural gas this substitution becomes favorable. In addition, there is a large reduction of CO2 emissions avoided by burning fuel

O presente trabalho visa propor um estudo a fim de buscar um projeto para reverter o impacto de uma área ociosa no centro da cidade de Mogi Guaçu, levando-se em consideração o seu desenvolvimento histórico e sócio-econômico pelos anos que se sucederam desde seu surgimento. A intenção do projeto é atenuar ou modificar os efeitos prejudiciais à cidade nos aspectos de tipo de ocupação, desenvolvimento econômico e cultural e integração da área central. As relações públicas em parceria com a ouvidoria e Ombudsman: gestão e ajuste para um relacionamento eficaz

This work presents as the central theme the management conducted by the Public Relations' professional regarding the custom relations' channels, focusing on Ombudsman. Its main objective is to discuss, reflect and establish a parallel between these activities, highlighting the importance of these channels on the organization’s communication and relationship process with their customers. Split in three chapters, it begins the discussion about the terminology in Ombudsman, from the meaning and concept of the terms to the comparison with other relationship means with the customer. It is a part of the study a brief history about organizations and their changes over the years, emphasizing the importance of customers and relations for the success of the modern day organizations, considering the Public Relations in this context. The discussion concludes establishing a parallel between the Ombudsman channels and the meaning of public relations in its management, regarding the relevancy of the subject in a highly competitive scenario, in which the customer/person, as a change agent, can be the responsible for the success or failure of organizations. The study tries to focus on showing the importance of the skills and competencies of the Public Relations for the fore mentioned channels, which are not well defined yet.

O perfil dos alunos do curso de Pedagogia da UNESP de Bauru (2007-2010)

The present work aims to expand and contribute to the understanding of issues related to social demands urgent today as regards of teachers’ formation of kindergarten and initial series. Through a survey of the profile of students in four years (2007-2010) of Pedagogy, UNESP, Bauru, I propose to trace discussions about the student profile that seeks to train teacher in higher education. This process will reveal the profile of the student who is preparing to enter the teaching profession and who in later years will work in public and private spheres of education as a teacher, coordinator and manager in the kindergarten and elementary education. For this research will develop both qualitative approach in that it analyzes the profile to the light of the literature and studied quantitatively the extent that is based on the results

Tecnologia e meio ambiente: a valorização energática de resíduos sólidos no Brasil

O tema foi escolhido em função da sua relevância global, atualidade e importância para a população brasileira. A valorização de resíduos sólidos tem sido um tema central das políticas ambientais desde a década de 1970. Desde então, os resíduos são vistos não só como parte da problemática ambiental, mas também como um recurso produtivo e uma fonte de energia. A pesquisa proposta neste estudo tem o objetivo de analisar os benefícios da valorização energética de resíduos sólidos urbanos para a sociedade, e analisar as possíveis dificuldades que se colocam diante desta alternativa energética

A organização e seus relacionamentos: uma abordagem semiótica do conceito de público

The organizations now have felt some needs in regards to changes in attitudes in what refers to the relationship with their interest publics. In this way, this work has as objective approach different themes, like concepts of organizational culture and the interrelations with the profession of Public Relations, besides the contact with notions in the area of People Management and human capital. As all organizations are constituted by interest publics, it will also demonstrate theories that refer to the different kinds of publics which the organization maintains relationship with, although, giving special attention to the internal public, considered one of the main types of public. For better comprehension of the performance of the internal public it was used the greimassian narrative semiotics that allow an exploration and analysis os diverse procedures made by such public. Therefore, it was possible to observe a great contribution from the theory in what refers to the assertion of the importance in maintaining good relationships with the employees of an organization, specially to affirm the identity of the employee making use of factors such as culture, values, principals, norms etc. Thus, it is believed that the strategic communication must be used with the intention of proportioning personal and professional well being to the employees, in a way that they may feel more and more integrated and committed with the organization, granting, like so, the organizational development and recognition

Infância, família e escola: análise dos significados da Infância e dos Direitos da Criança

This study aimed at analyzing the meanings of Children and Child Rights awarded by the kindergarten children and their educators, parents and teacher. Interest in the subject arose from the participation of the University Extension Project, conducted at the Department of Education, UNESP, Bauru, called The Rights of the Child: ECA in school. Since then, the question arose: to what extent we have visibility of meanings that educators and the child has on the Rights of the Child relating to the specifics of childhood? The research followed the tenets of qualitative research, methodological procedures and adopting the observation in a classroom from kindergarten (K II), semi-structured interview through leisure moments, with the class of aged five years and a questionnaire for family and teacher. The research adopted as reference material, studies of the area of Sociology of Childhood, History of Childhood, Public Policy, Legislation Related to the theme, and an overview of psychogenic to talk about the morality of children. The results showed that parents and caregivers understand childhood as a stage of child development, marked by jokes and fancies, in which the family and the school has an important role in this process. In what concerns the children's rights, there are contradictions in the legal aspects and the situation of children today. The results showed that children's childhood is characterized by recreational activities, and adults are responsible for caring for them. And it comes on the Rights of the Child noted that there is a confusion between rights and duties because they are in a phase of moral heteronomy. The findings indicate the need for wide dissemination on the Statute of Children and Adolescents, especially in preschools in line with families to practice it a new look at childhood, conceiving children as subjects... A evolução e caracterização da atividade canavieira em países selecionados da América Latina

A evolução agrária representa uma parte da história da América Latina. Os diferentes cultivos destacados nesta região formam parte da estrutura social e organizacional que se prolonga até a atualidade. Um destes cultivos é o da cana-de-açúcar. O seu desenvolvimento apresenta-se, sob determinados aspectos, de maneira distinta entre os maiores produtores latino-americanos, sendo importante realizar uma investigação comparativa baseada em seu delineamento histórico, bem como na análise de variáveis que representem o atual estágio de produção. Desta forma, procura-se caracterizar a evolução da atividade canavieira dando destaque a três países: Argentina, México e Brasil. Gerenciamento dos resíduos de serviços de saúde do pronto socorro de um hospital escola na cidade de Botucatu

Health Care Waste (HCW) represents 1%, and it has presently gained a lot of importance. Adequate management is one of the great challenges to be faced by health care centers. It has gained distinction and been widely discussed by members of the sectors involved with sanitation, public health and environmental issues due to waste physical, chemical biological characteristics, which pose potential risk to the environment and public health. The present study aims at evaluating HCW internal management by following all its phases, determining indicators, classifying and quantifying, establishing production rates (kg /patient/day) for the sector and designing materials to disseminate appropriate HCW disposal in the Emergency Room of the UNESP University Hospital in the city of Botucatu according to the guidelines presently in force. : From June to October 2011, the waste flow was observed from its production to final disposal. Four weight measurements were performed on four consecutive days in the month of August by using a properly calibrated (in grams) digital scale at the times scheduled for collection of the produced waste. Hence, the daily and monthly amounts were estimated according to their classification. All the waste packaged in the bags in garbage cans in the Emergency Room for a 24-hour period was considered to be a sample. Separation was not adequately performed in that sector, and waste from Group A was mixed with that from Group D. The amount of infectious waste produced in the sector corresponded to 87.80 %, common waste to 10.93 % and recyclable waste to 1.27%. The mean daily HCW production was of 123.300 kg/day, and the total monthly production was of 3,822 kg/month, which was distributed as follows: Group A 3,355,750 kg/month; Group D 417,570 kg/month and recyclables 48,670 kg/month. Diferentes mídias em parceria e cooperação: grandes produtoras de identidades contemporâneas

The aim of this paper is to present the results of a research in the area of Discourse Analysis, to describe discourses found in the media about the identities constructed in the Second Life virtual communities network and, to find out what discursive strategies are produced by the profile “fashion in the soap operas” hosted in the Twitter micro-blogging as an attempt to have a significant number of logfiles and to discover what leads men, women and, teenagers to participate of this “fashion in the soap operas” interaction. Our corpus consists of printed media reportings that present users of Second Life and its avatars with a proposal of new identities, including the utterances produced by the profile “fashion in the soap operas” and their respective followers. The analysis of the reports and discourses are based on the work by Michel Pêcheux and Michel Foucault. The analysis have shown that the new identities, created in virtual communities network and, the profile of the followers of “fashion in the soap operas”, hosted in Twitter, are characteristically contemporary sensibilities, who take part in the truth games and in the social pressing experimented nowadays

Desenvolvimento e controle de qualidade físico e microbiológico de emulsão O/A contendo óleo essencial de Melaleuca alternifolia

Sabe-se que na atualidade, é grande a preocupação da comunidade científica mundial, em relação à resistência microbiana frente às substâncias convencionais, utilizadas indiscriminadamente, por isso, é crescente a motivação da pesquisa básica na bioprospecção de novas substâncias, que apresentem atividade antimicrobiana e antifúngica e que possam ser uma alternativa segura e eficaz contra esses microorganismos no tratamento das doenças causadas por eles. As dermatofitoses, por exemplo, são processos infecciosos de pele, pêlo e unhas que acometem muitas pessoas, de todas as faixas etárias, no mundo todo, provocando as chamadas tinhas ou tineas, denominadas corporis, pedis, cruris, capitis, unguium(onicomicose) e outras (dependendo o local do corpo onde estão), causadas pelo dermatófito filamentoso, Trichophyton rubrum. Estudos envolvendo este patógeno são cada vez mais importantes, devido ao aparecimento de linhagens resistentes aos medicamentos antifúngicos disponíveis no mercado, e ao comportamento invasivo deste agente em pacientes com o sistema imune comprometido. Porém, somente a descoberta de novas drogas não é suficiente, é preciso desenvolver produtos eficazes e seguros, que possam veicular essas substâncias sem causar prejuízo ao paciente. Sendo assim, a proposta desse trabalho é desenvolver uma emulsão A/O, contendo óleo essencial de Melaleuca alternifolia (TTO), verificar sua estabilidade preliminar e caracterizá-la realizando o estudo reológico da formulação, determinar a concentração inibitória mínima (CIM) e a concentração fungicida mínima (CFM) do TTO e averiguar a atividade antifúngica in vitro da emulsão frente ao T. rubrum, agente patogênico ao qual se destina o uso do produto
