Pesquisa a atuação das celebridades eleitas para a Câmara Federal em 2010. São aqui chamados de celebridades aqueles deputados que se destacaram em suas profissões e ganharam notoriedade, fama e renome nacional por meio da mídia. Estão neste rol atores, cantores e esportistas. O objetivo do trabalho é analisar a atuação parlamentar destes deputados nos primeiros dois anos de seus mandatos. Esta análise terá como base as atividades exercidas pelo parlamentar na Casa, sua assiduidade nas sessões plenárias e reuniõesdas comissões, a indicação de emendas ao Orçamento da União, as proposições apresentadas e os gastos da verba indenizatória. Para a realização deste projeto foi realizado levantamento dos dados referentes à atuação destes deputados no Portal da Câmara, em estudos realizados por órgãos de fiscalização e acompanhamento da atividade parlamentar e com as assessorias dos deputados estudados.

Unidos por motivos históricos, é inegável que tendo sido colônia portuguesa, o Brasil herdou valores e características do Parlamento português. Assim, esta pesquisa bibliográfica e documental visa apontar alguns aspectos relevantes para o entendimento da identidade política brasileira e das atuais feições do nosso parlamento. Por meio da comparação da trajetória histórica dos Parlamentos desses países, as particularidades institucionais atuais, assim como seus sistemas legislativos, tornou-se possível a identificação de determinados elementos de nossa cultura política. Esta significando o cotidiano, os comportamentos e ações de atores sociais, os rituais e as tradições parlamentares. Percebeu-se, ademais, que algumas práticas político-parlamentares brasileiras estão fortemente marcadas por heranças legislativas portuguesas, tais como a tradição do envio da Mensagem Presidencial no início de cada Sessão Legislativa do Congresso Nacional brasileiro, bem como o ato de abrir as sessões legislativas ordinárias e extraordinárias nos Plenários das duas Casas com menção a Deus, demonstrando a permanência de valores religiosos, fruto da colonização por um país fervorosamente católico como Portugal.

O Brasil precisa definir sua situação da representação parlamentar no parlamento do MERCOSUL, o PARLASUL. Importantes questões não estão sendo tratadas com a devida atenção, pois atualmente os Parlamentares da Representação Brasileira do MERCOSUL são os políticos em atividade no Congresso Nacional, indicados pelos partidos, de forma semelhante às outras comissões do Senado e da Câmara dos Deputados e dividem suas extensas atividades diárias com os trabalhos desse novo parlamento e isso acaba comprometendo a atuação perante esse bloco econômico. Para tal, está tramitando na Câmara dos Deputados o Projeto de Lei nº 5279 de 2009, de autoria do Deputado Carlos Zarattini, que estabelece normas para as eleições dos parlamentares do MERCOSUL. Por ser um projeto de grande relevância, sua tramitação está sendo longa. Além disto, apresenta pontos polêmicos que afetam diretamente outra grande discussão do ambiente político nacional, a reforma política, principalmente com sistema de listas preordenadas pelos partidos políticos e o financiamento público exclusivo de campanha. Analisa o comportamento dos parlamentares brasileiros na estrutura de escolha dos representantes para o PARLASUL, que tendem a aprovar o projeto. Para um maior entendimento desta eleição e de todo processo da criação de um bloco econômico, a pesquisa aborda desde os primórdios das Relações Internacionais que originaram a criação de uma integração sul-americana, bem como um exame dos dados históricos da evolução do MERCOSUL e do PARLASUL.

A infidelidade partidária, entendida como a troca de partidos, pelos políticos, é um fenômeno recorrente na política brasileira. Em 2007, o TSE já se posicionou sobre o assunto, definindo que as trocas só poderiam ser realizadas para partidos novos. Diante do surgimento desses novos partidos, e a significativa troca de legenda pelos parlamentares, pensa-se quais seriam os motivos que os levariam a se filiar a uma nova sigla, e se o campo ideológico pode ser considerado um dos principais fatores. Dessa forma, esse trabalho objetiva estudar o comportamento parlamentar nas votações nominais ocorridas no plenário da Câmara dos Deputados, e a partir disso, verificar se uma frequência maior de votos destoantes em relação às orientações de bancada pode ser correlacionada a futuras mudanças de partido. Para isso, foram analisados os bancos de dados de votações nominais referentes às quatro últimas legislaturas.
