Imagens de satélite na análise da relação entre queimadas, aerossóis atmosféricos e precipitação

The direct and indirect effects of atmospheric aerossols in the amazonic climate have been focus of many published. This work aims to analyze a possible relation among Burns, atmospheric aerossols and precipitation above South America. It uses the avaluable data from the satellites AQUA/TERRA and TRMM and the images furnished by NOAA and GOES. These analysis can provide some explanations about the effects of emission of aerosols by burns on the composition of atmosphere and cloud formation, mainly in Amazon. We use the Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) from MODIS/TERRA-AQUA, burns index from CPTEC and rain rate from TRMM. The data we use were obtained from 2000 until 2012. The study is divided in two parts. In the first one, it was performed a quantitative analysis between number of burns and aerosols emission. It was identified a great variability in space and time of the AOD on South America. On the north, northeast and center-west, the AOD is significant during the winter period, with peak on August and September. The southeast is affected by aerosols from center-west due to the dynamical transport. In the second part, it was evaluated the relation between AOD and precipitation in a 13-year period. The statistical analysis shows up a negative correlation of 0.72 between August and October, on Legal Amazon. These result indicate an inverse relation between AOD and rain rate. The other months present not significant correlation. These results are in a good agreement with the literature, in which in-situ methods were applied or combined with satellites data. The increasing of aerosols concentration in the atmosphere are reinforced during drier years. It can affect the increasing process of water drops, decreasing the precipitation. In this paper, we analyze reader’s letters of the first copies of the Revista Língua Portuguesa. This work aims to expand the study of the relations, in this magazine, between discourses that come from different spheres of communication, as the Bakhtin Circle considers. The intention is to develop by studying the speech genre “reader’s letter” a reflection on the construction of the recipient’s image in the journal, i.e. the teacher. It is analyzed the discursive ethos and the representation of the teacher created by the readers.

La formación de personalidades éticas: representaciones de sí y moral

The article presents the studies of a current investigation among 75 adolescents from 12 to 15 years old, students of private schools of Campinas city, that have as main objective to notice a possible correspondence among the moral judgements and the representation that individuals have about themselves. From the feeling of admiration the studies bring out the representations of these individuals and answer a questioning if they would have an ethics character or not and if these would correspond to their moral judgements. The results point out to a correspondence among those whose representations of themselves are characterized by more evolved ethics contents and judgements as for sensitivity to the feelings of the characters involved in the situations described. Such studies validate the intention of this article to discuss the correspondences between ethics (how the individual sees himself/herself) and moral (how he/she judges the moral of the situations).

Flores do abismo, imagens do inconsciente [2012]

Presented in a rehearsal form, this article aims to bring out a historical discussion about the relationship between art-madness in Brazil. Result of a research that had as object the critical fortune written on the first exhibit of the Museum of Images of the Unconscious, this work aims to connect two little closer fields: art criticism and mental health, especially since Mário Pedrosa’s work. It was possible to ascertain, throughout the investigation, that there was a position taken by art critics at that time (the 1940s), that position is basically divided into two, briefly explored here: those who encouraged the exhibits, and thereby attested the artistic value of the work produced in the studio of Pedro II Psychiatric Center (where it was founded the Museum); and those who decried the artistic character of "unconscious images", as would be known the works that were produced there. Thus, we can say that, indeed, the virgin art – so entitled by Pedrosa – functioned as a kind of sting to the renewal of our health practices, but mainly influenced the completion of a cycle of modernism in our country.

Políticas públicas: a construção de imagens e sentidos para o envelhecimento humano

The present study aims to analyze the Brazilian public policies made for the elderly citizen population and to examine their resonance in the production of senses and images on the process of aging. For this, we draw cartographies that could find producing figures of sense about the aging, passing through some politics formulated for to this age group, since the decade of 1920 until the creation of the “Estatuto do Idoso”, in 2003. We checked that the appearance of public policies for the old age happened as an answer to the challenge of managing and controlling the aging process courses in front of the increase of the elderly citizen population. The “Estatuto do Idoso” is an important landmark of the management advance of the State upon the oldness and of the substitution of an philanthropic-assistance model for a preventive model which is based on the promotion of a healthy and productive longevity. With that, next to the figure of the sick and inactive elderly , it begins to appear figurations of a healthy and powerful aging, crossed by images of vitality and rejuvenation.

Fotografias escolares: a leitura de imagens na história da escola primária

This research consists in photograph reading, more specifically, school photographs related to primary teaching in the city of Campinas, between 1897 and 1950. It is based on a heritage constituted of 55 images that analyzes four categories of photographs: school architecture, student classes, teaching body and school activities, these categories illustrate the discourse about school, human contexts and social relations revealed by those images. The text also focuses the iconography documentation relevance for History of Education research, specially, about educational institutions.
