Coletivizando saberes: (re)construção da memória ambiental de moradores da cidade de Botucatu

Este trabalho apresenta o resgate da memória ambiental de moradoresidosos da cidade de Botucatu (SP) através da metodologia da História Oral deVida. Seu objetivo é contribuir para o levantamento e valorização da históriada cidade, gerando conhecimentos para propostas de sensibilização e ações deEducação Ambiental nos espaços urbano e rural do município. Observaram-senos relatos a percepção da crescente separação homem-natureza e a adesão aprocessos insustentáveis de desenvolvimento, o que gerou sérios problemassocioambientais.

GRUPO DE PESQUISA A TEMÁTICA AMBIENTAL E O PROCESSO EDUCATIVO: CONCEPÇÕES E PRÁTICAS

Neste texto procura-se apresentar um breve histórico do Grupo de Pesquisa ATemática Ambiental e o Processo Educativo, enfatizando-se os referenciaisteórico-metodológicos que têm orientado as suas pesquisas e os objetivos maisgerais de suas investigações. O exercício de explicitar a forma como determinadasociedade “torna a natureza presente” é visto pelo grupo como de fundamentalimportância para compreendermos os modelos teóricos e as ações práticasrelacionadas com processos educativos e a temática ambiental. Para odesenvolvimento de suas pesquisas o grupo procura mapear as tendências teóricase metodológicas da educação ambiental em textos acadêmicos, em relatos depesquisa e em propostas e projetos educativos, bem como caracterizar os sentidosatribuídos à temática ambiental, à relação sociedade-natureza, à Educação e àEducação Ambiental explorando as dimensões consideradas fundamentais para oprocesso educativo, a saber, epistemológica, axiológica e política.

A temática ambiental no curso de Pedagogia de uma universidade pública paulista

Embora o estudo do Meio Ambiente seja considerado essencial na formação de professores, pesquisas apontam que nas licenciaturas esse estudo ocorre de maneira incipiente. Neste artigo apresentamos uma investigação sobre a inclusão da dimensão ambiental no curso de Pedagogia da Unesp/Araraquara, confrontando o que é proposto com as recomendações da Política Nacional de Educação Ambiental. A partir da análise documental do Projeto Político-Pedagógico e dos Programas de Ensino das disciplinas do currículo do curso, verificamos que os temas de meio ambiente não aparecem entre os conteúdos, objetivos e ementas da maioria dessas disciplinas. Os resultados revelam uma discrepância entre o que é recomendado oficialmente e aquilo que está planejado para as disciplinas. Consideramos que a presença pouco efetiva da dimensão ambiental nos cursos de graduação acarreta a formação de profissionais despreparados para trabalhar adequadamente essa temática em sala de aula e que tal situação precisa ser modificada.

O acervo sobre Didática da Escola Estadual Leônidas do Amaral Vieira : contribuições para a história das disciplinas escolares

The article discusses characteristics of the library collection of the Escola Estadual Leônidas do Amaral Vieira, from Santa Cruz do Rio Pardo (SP), which subsidized the research on history of didactics at the Instituto de Educação of this school, from 1953 to 1975. We present aspects of the school and its collection about didactics in light of theoretical and methodological aspects related to the history of school subjects.

Aspectos político-legais da educação do campo

The article describes political and legal aspects of Brazilian education, through the analysis of Brazilian Constitutions, its amendments and major educational laws and resolutions in force until 2012, highlighting those that make direct reference to rural education and country education. It intends to identify the time when the educational legislation has incorporated the term “country education”, one of the struggles of the Movement for a Country Education. The use of the term “country education” will occur only in the first decade of this century. Despite the difficulties in consolidating country education, clearly the incorporation of this issue in the draft of the new National Education Plan (2011/2020), under discussion in Brazilian Congress.

Diagnóstico e proposição de subsídios para a elaboração de plano de gestão ambiental: estudo de caso de um abatedouro avícola

In view of the current environmental concerns and legal requirements, this work aims to achieve a diagnosis and offer subsidies for development of an environmental management plan in an industry. The industry considered to be a subject of study of this research is the aviculture, considered its great importance in Brazil and to present a significant environmental impact. The unit of analysis is a chicken slaughterhouse, located in Rio Claro, SP. The developed methodology for identification and analysis of environmental significative aspects were based in the concepts of environmental impact and in the ABNT NBR ISO 14.001:2004. From the analysis of selected aspects, this research proposed several environmental indicators for the company and identified points of environmental improvement. The results of this study provide methods for identifying its environmental aspects and development of its environmental management plan to chicken slaughterhouse and also to other companies.

Análise das possibilidades de integração entre programas ambientais de usinas hidrelétricas e sistemas de gestão ambiental

A avaliação de impacto ambiental tem sido muitas vezes, vista apenas como um procedimento burocrático para a obtenção da licença ambiental, desconsiderando os estudos realizados, após a aquisição da licença e contratando outros serviços para orientar a adoção de um sistema de gestão objetivando boas práticas ambientais. Porém sabe-se que a estrutura geral das metodologias de avaliação de impacto ambiental apresenta muitos pontos semelhantes se comparada à identificação dos aspectos e impactos ambientais de um sistema de gestão ambiental, o que indica uma interface entre os dois instrumentos apesar da execução integrada ainda não ser um procedimento comum na gestão ambiental de empreendimentos. Nesse sentido, o presente trabalho objetivou analisar as possibilidades do emprego de um sistema de gestão ambiental preconizado pela ISQ 14001 para o gerenciamento de programas ambientais decorrentes de processos de avaliação de impacto ambiental e de licenciamento ambiental de usinas hidrelétricas, através do foco específico naqueles progrmas relacionados diretamente com o monitoramento e o controle da qualidade e da qualidade da água do reservatório, que é um fator essencial para a função de produção de um empreendimento hidrelétrico. Para esta análise, utilizou-se o caso da usina hidrelétrica de Santo Antônio, identificando 9 programas ambientais decorrentes de processos de avaliação de impacto ambiental com grandes possibilidades de serem utilizados na estruturação de sistemas de gestão ambiental de usinas hidrelétricas e cuja adequada execução, corrobora com a integração entre os respectivos instrumentos além de corresponder à necessidade de compatibilização dos instrumentos de política ambiental na busca de um desenvolvimento com adequada proteção ambiental e de uma atuação mais consciente das organizações

A ideologia dos filmes utilizados na educação infantil: uma análise a partir da teoria crítica

This work has as purpose to show what are the influences of media in the education and in the shaping the thinking and understand that ideologies are present in the films used in the classroom in kindergarten. For this, I directed the discussion beginning by concepts as Ideology and its more different definitions by several thinkers over the years, the thinkers of Critical Theory of Frankfurt School, called “frankfurtians” of first and second generation of this school, also making an association between Cinema and Education, evidencing concepts involving this association as Cultural Industry, using films properly in classrooms in kindergarten, with the teacher as mediator and then discussed what amounts of movies on children's education, how they assist and deepen the knowledge developed by students in schools of infantile education. Additionally, they are exposed the different opinions about the subject Film and Education for students from kindergarten, what benefits and what disadvantages in the use of films, the different opinions on the subject. We also discuss, in this work, the ideologies present in three films produced by Walt Disney, they are Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Alice in Wonderland, relating them to how they can contribute to the development and learning students in kindergarten. I associated more as possible the previous discussions to analyze the ideologies present in these films, by summarizing these, and decomposing them through an analysis tool called frame. Finally, I completed everything that was discussed and analyzed, which students in kindergarten may develop with the use of films in schools, what they contribute, in some way, for the learning and education of students as viewers using the school as access to different cultures and the teacher as a mediator of this relationship

A geração de resíduos sólidos urbanos e sua influência na gestão urbano-ambiental municipal de Sorocaba/SP

In Brazil, rates of urban solid waste generation increase proportionally more than the annual growing of the population. The government, from its federal authority to the municipal spheres, faces increasing challenges for Urban and Environmental management regarding to solid waste in general and, in particular, municipal solid waste. Financial problems added to public health problems that worsen with the serious environmental impacts generated every year. In August 2010 Brazil the PNRS (National Policy on Solid Waste) was approved and sanctioned in which represented a true watershed in the country as a legal framework extremely ambitious and visionary. This work presents the successes and challenges that the municipality of Sorocaba/SP is facing after more than three years of PNRS sanctioned to conduct an Urban and Environmental management suited to the new legal bases towards the subject of solid waste. The results show a large gap between the content proposed by the law and the technical, financial and temporal reality to practical implementation by the municipal government. New legislation and federal incentives, consortiums among the cities, flexible deadlines and environmental education at all levels are certainly some proposals to catalyze processes that aim to solve and overcome the challenges of solid waste

O Sistema de Gestão Ambiental e sua contribuição socioambiental para a biblioteca central da UNESP, Campus Rio Claro/SP

The minimization and mitigation of environmental impacts caused by the activities of organizations is increasingly becoming a key concern due to factors such as market demand, including suppliers and consumer markets, quality standards and even marketing strategies. The implementation of an EMS - Environmental Management System - allows the organization to achieve the level of environmental performance for its determined and promotes continuous improvement over time. This system consists of a schedule of activities, so as to eliminate or minimize impacts to the environment through preventive actions. It also provides a structured approach to set and achieve goals and objectives, and to establish procedures, work instructions and control, ensuring that the implementation of the policy can become reality. The objective of this work consists in planning a system using environmental management based on the ISO 14001 - standard internationally more widespread and accepted in the requirements to establish and operate an EMS - the Central Library, UNESP, Rio Claro / SP to stimulate the quest for continuous improvement and sustainability in the educational institution. For making the diagnosis of this planning was used the PDCA methodology, suggested by the standard, as well as all requirements for compliance. The results show that the benefits that the organization will receive involve reducing expenses and cost of energy and water, and improve the organization's reputation before the whole university and other educational institutions, reaching about three thousand people on university

Manejo e implementação de trilha interpretativa no Parque Natural Municipal de Petronilla Markowicz, Bragança Paulista-SP

The use of trails in protected areas allows a closer relationship with the elements of nature and the realization of dynamic activities of environmental education. Through these, individuals, school groups or other affinity groups can uncover the environment, to know him better and act with greater consistency in its conservation. The idea of settleling an interpretative trail in the Parque Natural Municipal Petronilla Markowicz (PNMPM), located 05 km from the center of Bragança Paulista (SP), comes up with the need for planning to use the tracks of the Unit for Environmental Education. It is therefore in the context of interpreting the environments of tracks with minimal environmental impact that this study sought to survey all the tracks PNMPM for future deployment of an interpretative trail seeking the quality of environmental experience and easy use by visitors.

A temática ambiental na revista Ciência Hoje nas décadas de 1990-2000

Recentemente, a temática ambiental tem sido caracterizada como um dos temas mais abrangentes, nesse sentido, o tema degradação ambiental tem se constituído em um problema tanto da geração que nos constituiu quanto da geração que nos sucederão. Podemos afirmar que o modelo de desenvolvimento econômico adotado em inúmeros paises, inclusive no Brasil, baseado no consumo e na exploração dos recursos naturais tem contribuído para a persistência dos problemas relacionados a degradação ambiental. Tendo em vista, esse contexto e a importância dos meios de comunicação em especial às revistas de divulgação científica. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo responder as seguintes questões norteadoras: Quais os problemas relacionados à temática ambiental, particularmente, os problemas relativos à degradação ambiental, são veiculados na Revista Ciência Hoje (CH)?Os temas e os problemas relativos à degradação ambiental são trabalhados de modo a contemplar as controvérsias socioambientais? Em caso positivo quais controvérsias socioambientais são veiculadas? Consistiram na investigação da abordagem da temática ambiental na Revista Ciência Hoje particularmente, os problemas relativos à degradação ambiental. A Ciência Hoje, criada em 1982, a partir do Projeto Ciência Hoje responsável pelas publicações de divulgação cientifica da Sociedade Brasileira para o Progresso da Ciência (SBPC) entidade civil sem fins lucrativos e que tem como objetivo promover o desenvolvimento tecnológico no Brasil. Dessa forma realizou-se uma pesquisa documental, cujo corpus documental foi constituído por 161 exemplares da CH publicados nos anos de 1990-2005. A metodologia utilizada na analise dos artigos da Revista foi a “Análise de Conteúdo” proposta por Bardin (1991).
