In 2010 two retailers signed an association agreement to gain an advantage in the market, however this association has promoted many changes within the companies. So this study had the objective to analyze the organizational climate, in the integration of companies context, in order to early detect deficiencies that could pose risks to the process of integration. The results collected from the questionnaires revealed the perceptions and expectations of employees regarding the integration of companies and their level of satisfaction with the organization, in addition, the data obtained from interviews allowed us to understand and to find some causes to the level of satisfaction presented by employees. The results made possible to identify strengths as the company‟s image, points of failure in communication and training and dissatisfaction with the workload, then some actions were suggested with the intention to achieve greater engagement and commitment of employees and consequently contribute to the success of the Integration Program. The conclusion of this study is that the changes promoted by the integration of companies impacted in the organizational climate and increased employees dissatisfaction

A Organização Mundial de Saúde estima que existem cerca de 10 milhões de infectados pelo Trypanosoma cruzi, 30% dos infectados cronicamente desenvolvem alterações cardíacas, e 10% digestivas e neurológicas. O T. cruzi é um protozoário cinetoplástida flagelado agente etiológico da tripanossomíase americana, popularmente conhecida como a Doença de Chagas, uma antropozoonose conhecida na América Latina. Pelo menos 40 espécies de triatomíneos – conhecido por barbeiros – carregam o protozoário. O gênero Triatoma representa o principal vetor da Doença de Chagas e são adaptados a climas secos de ambientes rurais da América do Sul e Central. Outras formas de infecção podem ocorrer por transfusão de sangue, transplantes, via oral, e transmissão vertical. Há duas fases que caracterizam a infecção pelo T. cruzi: a fase aguda, apresentando um período de incubação de uma semana a um mês, que geralmente é assintomática. Já a fase crônica é mais polêmica e divide a opinião dos pesquisadores, mas basicamente mostra-se como uma cardiomiopatia chagásica, ou uma dilatação no trato digestivo e ainda pode causar lesões no sistema nervoso parassimpático e simpático. Entre essas duas fases ocorre um período indeterminado em que não há nenhuma manifestação clínica da doença. Existem teorias que explicam a patogenicidade das lesões da doença: uma postula que as lesões características da Chagas são referentes à ruptura das células parasitadas e subsequente inflamação. Outra é a teoria da autoimunidade, em que o próprio sistema imune do indivíduo rejeita as células livres de parasitas causando as lesões características da doença. Há evidências substanciais que comprovem a participação das respostas imunes nas lesões miocárdicas, mas como o parasito consegue desencadear estas respostas imunes, ainda não está esclarecido... Uma grande parte da população brasileira reside hoje em locais considerados inadequados, seja pela ilegalidade ou pelo risco contínuo de catástrofes. Todo ano são noticiadas novas tragédias decorrentes dessas ocupações irregulares, exigindo tomadas de providências emergenciais e preventivas por parte dos responsáveis pela gestão do espaço público. A compreensão desse problema exige uma análise histórica da formação desses aglomerados urbanos, ou favelas, verificando os motivos que impedem ou desestimulam a elaboração de leis rígidas e aplicáveis para esses casos, bem como a elaboração de diretrizes de planejamento e projetos que possam ser implantados para solucionar estas questões nos locais necessitados

This study is about a heating line that uses thermal oil. It is located in a facility that produces interlayers used in cars windshields. A plastic resin is melted and is sent to a matrix called DIE where the interlayers are produced. The DIE needs to receive heat from the circulation of thermal oil in four different regions of its interior, to ensure the correct thickness of the interlayer. The thermal energy is provided by electric heaters and the flow of thermal oil is impelled by four mechanically sealed centrifugal pumps (one per region). The key point of this study is the fact that these four pumps of the system have reported successive failures in the mechanical seals. Apparently, a poorly designed project has burdened the system intermittently. The pumps operation condition is located in a region of low efficiency, according to the characteristic curves. This fact is the source of the noticeable reduced time between failures. Changes in the configuration of the facility and in the number of pumps will be proposed, aiming to achieve higher operational efficiency. The proposals will be mathematically analyzed according to the Hydraulic Institute criteria. At the same time, we will also keep focus on an in-depth study of a heating system structure, starting with a detailed approach for each component and discussion about its real need and economic viability. At the end of this paper it is shown that the gain in efficiency achieved with the new proposed configuration reflects not only in the reduction of maintenance costs, but also a potential improvement in energy efficiency. It is shown that these two aspects are closely related and together form the basis for the design of a reliable and efficient pumping system

The need to practice physical activity of any kind grows day by day. People look for studios, clubs, parks, either to practice some kind of sport, gymnastics classes, workout or a good walk. Over the last few years, another option has arived arose, which is a little different from what we are used to see. We are talking about Ballroom Dance, a new alternative for thoses who wants or needs to practice some physical activity but is looking for a different environment. Ballroom Dance is growing, thanks to the media, it has been an effective option for whom seeks to fill her free time and gains benefits such as leisure, satisfaction, health and quality of live, etc. Therefore, the objectives of this study were: investigating the reasons that lead the people to look for classes like Ballroom Dance and identify the degree of satisfaction of these students regarding Ballroom Dance classes. Thirty eight students participated in this study: some came from a dance studio from Rio Claro (SP), some from a gym academy with Ballroom Dance classes from Campo Grande (MS) and some from a Ballroom Dance Program of Unesp, Rio Claro in the community. The participants of both genders, ageing between 18 to 60 years, were enpaped on Ballroom program for at least one month. They answered a questionnaire related to the issue. After analyzing the data it was confirmed that people seeks for Ballroom Dance because they like to dance, they feel pleasure to dance, besides feeling relaxed in the activity and because dancing brought them fun. Regarding the Degree of satisfaction, all of them stated being satisfied with Ballroom Dance.

With the increasing competitiveness of organizations in search of customers, it is essential that the pursuit of quality becomes a prerequisite for the survival of healthcare organization, is necessary to have working conditions that encourage both personal and professional satisfaction. This study aims to investigate the perception of nurses regarding their satisfaction in the context of work in a State Hospital and contribute to the reflection on the internal customer satisfaction as an important indicator of quality of health services that interfere with quality of care. We used the qualitative method, on phenomenology, with nurses from a state hospital that had at least one year of experience in the institution. Through interviews, it was revealed that satisfaction is related to the literature and is influenced by factors such as human resources, practice nurses, Teamwork, Perception of the patient, professional recognition, physical and material resources and rewarding work, and these themes unfold quality and satisfaction both personally and for organizations

The searches for a health service it’s a part of a process, searches for a qualified evaluation can arise the perception, in form of irritating factors taking for an alert state. The personal expectation, it makes influence in its perceptions, too. The objective was to evaluate the satisfaction degree of the users of “Seção Técnica de Ambulatório Geral do Hospital das Clínicas de Botucatu”. The work is about a quantitative and transversal study, with calculated sample of 366 users, chosen randomly and invited to participate through a questionnaire. The population was compounded by a majority of women (64,5%), between 50 to 59 years old and average degree of education (38,3%). 25 specialties were cited. The evaluate about comfort, cleaning, reception, waiting time, medical attention and nursing vary between “very good” and “good”. Obtained significant “regular” assessment, the comfort in the waiting rooms (24%), silence (25%) and cleaning bathroom (63%). Others negative evaluation was the reception about the waiting time (26%), waiting time between arrival and the consultation (34%), waiting time between the request and consultation (27%). 30,6% report to know the place for complaints and 79,4% of these pointed to the ombudsman. 62% consider their problems solved, 84,4% would indicate the hospital, 57,4% would consider the hospital better than imagined. 42,62% used the opened area for thanking, critical for staff, suggestion infrastructure improvements, cleaning and waiting time. The biggest complaint was the staff turnover in the treatment. There was disharmony between the objective and subjective questions, but, all of them must be considered to propose improvements. The satisfaction evaluation makes the service more effective, bringing credibility to the health service and the patients adhere better to the treatment

The present work aims to study the possible causes of cracks founded and recovered in translation cars of ore Forklift / ore Reclaimer. To identify the possible causes of cracks observed on the equipment it was used a static approach analysis, using a finite element method as an analysis tool, using a specific structural analysis program. After making the model, a strain gage measurement was necessary because there may be significant amounts of masses of non-structural components that were not modeled and were not available in the drawings, as well as fouling ore. With the calibrated model it was processed analyses with the load cases of dead load, product, wind and excavation. After the processing, it was observed that none of these load cases resulted in values that caused the crack, so another three hypotheses were tested: depression and misalignment, jacking and translation of only three cars. Of these three hypotheses it was observed that the jacking coud be the cause of the cracks, because the distribution of stress. Due to the miss of parameters, like the height utilized in this process, it was not possible to affirm the real stress level

A perda embrionária consiste em perda econômica significativa dentro do processo de criação de equinos e representa custos adicionais para os criadores decorrentes das repetidas coberturas de éguas durante a temporada reprodutiva, além da diminuição do número de potros nascidos. São consideradas perdas embrionárias aquelas que ocorrem até o 49º dia da gestação e são decorrente de diversos fatores maternos e/ou embrionários. Atualmente, com a utilização da ultrassonografia, pode-se observar a vesícula embrionária a partir do 11º dia pós-ovulação, sendo possível o diagnóstico precoce de tais perdas. Devido ao grande prejuízo econômico na reprodução equina decorrente de perdas gestacionais, o objetivo deste Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso foi realizar revisão de literatura sobre as principais causas da perda embrionária em éguas

Halitosis is the unpleasant odor of exhaust air through the mouth and lungs. There are over 50 causes, and approximately 90% of cases, is of oral origin. May have physiological origin (stress, breath of morning, fasting, and inappropriate diets), local reasons (bad oral hygiene, bacterial plaque retained on the tongue and/or tonsils, lower production of saliva, gum disease) or systemic reasons (diabetes, kidney or liver problems, constipation, etc.). In the Third Age, this problem tends to increase significantly. Thus, the aim of this study was to detect the presence of halitosis in the geriatric group attended in the dental clinic of UNIRP, identifying their incidence and principal causes. The sample consisted of 48 volunteer patients aged 60 years or older and included more than 90% of patients treated in this age group. It was performed a anamnesis and physical examination. The intra-oral halitosis was detected using a breath meter (halimeter). In the group studied, approximately 54.16% had halitosis, 84.61% of these were users of the prosthesis. The tongue coating was present in 80.76% of individuals with halitosis. After brushing the tongue, 88.46% of patients with halitosis have had the initial index oral malodor decreased. Based on the results of this study it was concluded that factors as dental prostheses and tongue coating are critical factors in causing halitosis.

The population’s life expectancy is growing every year. This fact highlights the importance of the elderly for the dentistry. The oral cavity quality has great influence on quality of life at both the biological and the psychological and social factors by maintaining a self-esteem, self-expression, communication and satisfactory facial aesthetics. Unfortunately, the number of edentulous elderly population is also high, which may create problems to their social life. Therefore, the objective of this study was to demonstrate and evaluate the difficulties of treating edentulous patients, comparing data prior to treatment to post data after treatment by complete dentures made to the patients undergoing oral rehabilitation in the Dental Clinic of the Faculty of Dentistry of Adamantina – FAI. For this study, questionnaires were filled in the form of answers developed alternative focused on the degree of patient satisfaction, the current situation of occlusion, and outcome of treatment. The results showed that 96% of patients were satisfied with the results obtained in the treatment, all of whom believed that the prosthesis helped them feel better aesthetically and improved self-esteem. By this methodology, it was concluded that the degree of satisfaction was high, but the services provided must be constantly reevaluated, once the elderly population presents a wide labor market for dental professionals and demand level services will certainly increase each year.

The aim this study was to know work conditions of dental surgeon in Brazilian Health System (SUS), by their perception, analyzing: type of ingress, work regime, workload, realized income, existence of Career Plan, Posts and Ages (PCCS) and satisfaction with public employment. The sample was constituted by dental surgeons (n=83) of 12 cities public system from Health Regional Department XV – São José do Rio Preto City – São Paulo State. Data collection was by interviews using a questionnaire. Results point that 19% of interviewed people didn’t take an open competition to ingress on SUS. Statutory scheme of work was more adopted getting 57% of professionals. Different working days were observed: 57% is relative to 20 hours, 7% to 30 hours and 36 hours to 40 hours. About satisfaction with incomes, 66% of professionals were dissatisfied, observing the absence of PCCS in 11 cities. About satisfaction with public employment, just 5% said to be “dissatisfied”; 11% “few satisfied” and the majority 62% and 22% affirmed to be “satisfied” and “satisfied so much” respectively. Although PCCS not to be reality in studied cities and the majority of professionals to say “to be dissatisfied” with wage, around totality of interviewed people is “dissatisfied” with public employment on SUS.
