O presente trabalho consiste numa anlise terica das polticas educacionais delineadas a partir dos anos de 1990, mormente nos oito anos do governo Fernando Henrique Cardoso, com o objetivo de verificar se os principais documentos legais, planos e aes, elaborados no perodo, enfrentam a questo do fracasso escolar no ensino fundamental, considerando ser este um dos grandes desafios da educao brasileira. A anlise documental envolve o estudo (i) das distintas concepes de fracasso escolar; (ii) da legislao bsica promulgada no perodo, examinando a) a Constituio Federal de 1988 e as emendas constitucionais referentes educao b) a Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educao Nacional 9.394/96 e as leis que alteraram o texto original c) a Lei n 9.424/96 que trata do Fundo de Manuteno e Desenvolvimento do Ensino Fundamental e de Valorizao do Magistrio (FUNDEF); (iii) dos planos de educao, examinando a) O Plano Decenal de Educao para Todos - 1993-2003 b) o Plano Nacional de Educao PNE 2001-2010 Lei n 10.172/2001 e (iv) dos Programas para correo do fluxo escolar, em especial o modo como se operam o sistema de ciclos e de progresso continuada, por consider-los como importantes aes governamentais utilizadas para o enfrentamento do fracasso escolar por boa parte dos sistemas escolares. O exame da legislao e planos objetiva destacar artigos ou trechos que demonstrem preocupao, discutam, ou indiquem aes para a resoluo do problema do fracasso escolar. Os dados estatsticos sobre repetncia, abandono e evaso escolar subsidiam a anlise da temtica. O trabalho ratifica as teses de diversos autores sobre a excluso escolar, presente nos diversos sistemas educacionais, a escola de hoje pratica uma incluso excludente, mantendo os alunos em seu interior mesmo que no estes no apresentem nveis de aprendizagem satisfatrios. Este projeto tem como proposta principal a produo de um website que consolide informaes, pesquisas, artigos, teses, notcias e produes audiovisuais que abordem a temtica da Televiso Digital. A concepo deve ser construir com as bases de um modelo transdisciplinar de informaes, j que pretende condensar e reunir inmeras reas correlatas temtica citada. Epidemiological studies have shown an inverse relationship between nuts, including walnuts, intakes and chronic diseases such as cardiovascular diseases and cancers. The nuts contain phenolics compounds and flavonoids and are rich in tocopherol, phytosterols, and squalene. They are sources of carbohydrates, essential fatty acids and minerals. Since walnuts contain high levels of n-3 fatty acids and low unsaturated fatty acids, high levels of vitamin E, pholyphenols, flavonoids, arginine and fiber. The compounds possible beneficial effects are due to their antioxidant and antiproliferative activities, which are linked to a reduced risk for developing atherosclerosis and cancer. In recent years, the consumers have been showing an increased interest in nuts and walnuts because of their nutritional qualities and their potential beneficial effects on peoples health This review aims to describe the importance of beneficial bioactive compounds present in nuts and walnuts.

In this article we address the causality conveyed by constructions with porque in compositions written by students from a public school. Our purpose is to compare factors of cognitive and discursive order for examining possible motivations related to the variability and to the complexity involved in causal constructions. The analysis that we propose assumes that porque may have different interpretations depending on the context of use and may indicate the cause of an actual event, or the cause of a belief, or the cause of a speech act. We consider some theses of ontogenetic nature that support that the most cognitively complex meanings appear later, but we hold that there are other issues at stake. In what follows, we present evidence that the emergence of different causal relations with porque also takes place as a result of the operation of discourse genres.

Fishing is a very important activity in terms of economic and social development throughout the Amazon region. Text reading this topic revealed the presence of a terminology not yet systematized and record little research and scientific publications on the terminology of this activity. This article aims at analyzing the key terms of fishing. At first, we present a brief history of this activity in Western Amazonia, particularly in Rondnia. The theoretical support was guided by Cabr (1999), with her Communicative Theory of Terminology, Aubert (1996), Barbosa (2002), Barros (2004), Biderman (2006), Babini (2006) and linguists as Baldinger (1966) and Pottier (1974) that reveal the details of linguistic analysis terminology. The creation of an electronic corpus, from texts of technical and documental discourse, theses and websites, composed the first stage of our work. Afterwards, collect the terms and fill the terminological records in our database. The terms were organized into a conceptual system with three notional fields: riverside community, type of fishing, gillnet fishing. Early results show that the set of terms collected is characterized by the strong presence of simple and complex terms, and less compound terms.

Na literatura da rea de Ensino de Fsica encontramos diversos argumentos em defesa da incluso, nos currculos escolares do Ensino Mdio, de contedos de Fsica Moderna e Contempornea. A Teoria da Relatividade Especial e Geral (ao lado da Mecnica Quntica) um dos pilares da Fsica Moderna. Consideramos significativo e oportuno obter um panorama da produo acadmica sobre o ensino e aprendizagem deste tpico. Nosso objetivo sintetizar os avanos, as convergncias e sinalizar perspectivas, com o intuito de contribuir para um avano e defesa dos trabalhos futuros. Assim, procuramos resposta para a questo: Quais as contribuies da pesquisa em Ensino de Fsica para que a Teoria da Relatividade Especial e Geral (TREG) possa ser abordada no Ensino Mdio?

The substitution of diesel by biodiesel meets the current scenario to increase the consumption of alternative energy sources promoting sustainable development of a country. However, the production of biodiesel concurrently generates the formation of glycerine in the process is a by-product. The main application of glycerine is in the food industry, cosmetics, soaps, pharmaceuticals, among others, but these segments are not capable of absorbing the generated volume of glycerine, whereas the total volume of the biodiesel produced about 10% correspond to glycerine. Glycerine obtained from the transesterification reaction (necessary for production of biodiesel) triglycerides and alcohol contains certain impurities such as water, salts, esters, alcohol, and residual oil, which decrease the value. Thus, the purification process or the direct use of glycerine become essential to make it competitive biodiesel production process. This work aims to evaluate the different processes of purification and the use of glycerine obtained as by-product in the production of biodiesel. The research was theoretical, based on technical articles and theses published on this subject, and from these databases was established a summary of the most important processes

A Geografia brasileira ainda carece de sua histria. Nos anos mais recentes, numerosos artigos tm aparecido, tentando recuperar essa falha, mas nota-se, ainda, a falta de um documento mais abrangente, que recupere os momentos fundamentais, os acertos e os erros, os avanos e as crises no progresso do conhecimento geogrfico desenvolvido entre ns. E a lacuna se faz sentir, tambm, em termos de informaes precisas sobre pesquisas, eventos, trabalhos publicados e teses defendidas, sem as quais no se pode reconstruir, de forma segura, a trajetria da Geografia brasileira. The aim of this study was to propose a reading of theoretical and methodological geography of Brazilian agriculture in Post-Graduate Studies in Geography (PPGE's) from the Southeast, from the 1970s, trying to present a discussion of the analysis categories (space, territory, landscape, region and place) that has been unleashed over the meetings of Agrarian Geography (ENGA's) and in three meetings of the Research Groups of Agrarian Geography (2005, 2006, 2007). So, we started with the hypothesis that the relativization of scientific concepts may impair development of spatial concepts only. To accomplish our objective we carried out a survey of dissertations and theses supported in the period 1970 to 2009, in Post-Graduate in Geography and UFU UFMG (Minas Gerais), UFRJ, UFF and UERJ (Rio de Janeiro) and USP, UNESP / Rio Claro, UNESP / Presidente Prudente (Sao Paulo). The evaluation dealt with the quantitative and drew a profile of Agrarian Geography. Qualitatively, further analysis, crossing information, contextualizing the themes and especially evaluating the theoretical set referenced in the works, an indication of the possible paths followed by this branch of the Brazilian Geography for which it is observed that the references to the categories space and, more specifically the organization of space, was prioritized in the 1980s and the territory as a reference work after 1990.
