Mercado de bens simbólicos do futebol: a estratégia empreendedora da gestão Andrés Sanchez no Sport Club Corinthians Paulista

O crescimento do mercado de bens simbólicos se tornou realidade em todos os continentes. Particularmente, o futebol, desde a Copa do Mundo de 1990, passou por crescimento financeiro incomum. A exploração da paixão dos torcedores/consumidores pelo futebol e por seus respectivos clubes transformou-se em grande atividade comercial e de prestação de serviços, após o advento da Lei Pelé em março de 1998. Consequentemente, os clubes deixaram de ser meras agremiações esportivas e se tornaram grandes organizações, responsáveis por oferecer um produto atraente e cada vez mais rentável. A estratégia empreendedora da gestão de Andrés Sanchez possibilitou ao Sport Club Corinthians Paulista, em 2012, alcançar o primeiro lugar de empresa no futebol brasileiro e a sexta colocação no cenário mundial. Por meio de pesquisa exploratória de natureza qualitativa, ex-post factum, acompanhada de entrevista em profundidade com gestores participantes do empreendimento e membros da torcida organizada, o objetivo central da pesquisa, na perspectiva fenomenológica, buscou identificar as estratégias empregadas na Gestão Andrés Sanchez para a valorização da marca. Os resultados da pesquisa apontam para a integração das estratégias funcionais com a estratégia dos negócios. Na percepção dos entrevistados, a visão empreendedora permitiu ao clube, em quatro anos (2008-2011), formar a base de seu acelerado crescimento para, posteriormente, alcançar posicionamento diferenciado e, consequentemente, vantagem competitiva sustentável.

Effets de renseignement de l'organisation de textes de type informatif et de structure descriptive sur la compréhension d'élèves de 2e année

[…] Après avoir examiné ce que le programme de français du MÉQ propose sur la façon d'enseigner la lecture, il est possible d'observer les disparités entre celui-ci et l'état actuel de la recherche quant au meilleur moyen d'aider l'élève dans sa compréhension d'un texte informatif. En effet, à l'intérieur même du nouveau programme de français de 1994, aucune mention n'est faite en ce qui concerne l'apprentissage des structures de textes au primaire, et ce malgré les effets positifs sur la compréhension soulevés par de nombreuses recherches. Une des raisons pouvant expliquer ce fait vient du manque de matériel concret à la portée des enseignantes et des enseignants et pouvant constituer une base à cet enseignement. Giasson (1990) a recensé, parmi différentes recherches, un certain nombre de représentations graphiques utilisées pour l'enseignement des structures de textes. Pour apprécier la pertinence de ce matériel, il sera important de comprendre l'origine de ces représentations graphiques et la façon dont ce type de représentations peut faciliter l'acquisition de connaissances. L'essentiel du problème abordé à l'intérieur de ce projet de recherche touche donc un aspect précis de la lecture. En effet, la compréhension en lecture par l'enseignement de l'organisation du texte et l'utilisation de représentations graphiques constituent le point central de la présente recherche. L'objectif général vise donc à voir dans quelle mesure la compréhension de texte peut être favorisée si un enseignement des structures de texte à l'aide de représentations graphiques est entrepris. Le présent document se compose de cinq chapitres. Le premier chapitre propose une recension des écrits des différents thèmes permettant de poser le problème. Le deuxième chapitre énonce la problématique ainsi que les hypothèses de recherche. Le troisième chapitre, quant à lui, décrit la méthodologie utilisée dans la phase expérimentale de la recherche. Le quatrième chapitre fait l'analyse et l'interprétation des résultats et finalement le cinquième et dernier chapitre propose la conclusion et les implications des résultats.

Conceção e implementação do projeto Marítimo LAB : estágio realizado no Club Sport Marítimo

O presente relatório visa transmitir o trabalho desenvolvido ao longo de um ano de estágio profissionalizante, realizado no Club Sport Marítimo, tendo como propósito a conclusão do Mestrado em Treino Desportivo. Ao longo do período de estágio, o estagiário incorporou a equipa técnica da equipa de Juniores (Sub-18) do Clube, estando ainda presente em todos os eventos dinamizados pelo departamento de futebol amador. No entanto, a atividade de maior foco, foi a implementação e dinamização do Projeto Marítimo LAB, cujo objetivo passa pela avaliação e potencialização das características e capacidades dos jovens atletas do Clube. O Marítimo LAB abrangeu 241 atletas do género masculino, possuindo um intervalo etário entre os 10 e 18 anos de idade, sendo que após os momentos de avaliação e potencialização, analisou-se os dados obtidos no intuito de aferir a evolução dos atletas.

A new concept for a Sport-Coupè car developed with the Industrial Design Structure method (IDeS)

The aim of this study, conducted in collaboration with Lawrence Technological University in Detroit, is to create, through the method of the Industrial Design Structure (IDeS), a new concept for a sport-coupe car, based on a restyling of a retro model (Ford Mustang 1967). To date, vintage models of cars always arouse great interest both for the history behind them and for the classic and elegant style. Designing a model of a vehicle that can combine the charm of retro style with the innovation and comfort of modern cars would allow to meet the needs and desires of a large segment of the market that today is forced to choose between past and future. Thanks to a well-conceived concept car an automaker company is able to express its future policy, to make a statement of intent as, such a prototype, ticks all the boxes, from glamour and visual wow-factor to technical intrigue and design fascination. IDeS is an approach that makes use of many engineering tools to realize a study developed on several steps that must be meticulously organized and timed. With a deep analysis of the trends dominating the automotive industry it is possible to identify a series of product requirements using quality function deployment (QFD). The considerations from this first evaluation led to the definition of the technical specifications via benchmarking (BM) and top-flop analysis (TFA). Then, the structured methodology of stylistic design engineering (SDE) is applied through six phases: (1) stylistic trends analysis; (2) sketches; (3) 2D CAD drawings; (4) 3D CAD models; (5) virtual prototyping; (6) solid stylistic model. Finally, Developing the IDeS method up to the final stages of Prototypes and Testing you get a product as close as possible to the ideal vehicle conceptualized in the initial analysis.

Inter-individual variability in temporal structure of the basketball shoot

This study analyzed inter-individual variability of the temporal structure applied in basketball throwing. Ten experienced male athletes in basketball throwing were filmed and a number of kinematic movement parameters analyzed. A biomechanical model provided the relative timing of the shoulder, elbow and wrist joint movements. Inter-individual variability was analyzed using sequencing and relative timing of tem phases of the throw. To compare the variability of the movement phases between subjects a discriminant analysis and an ANOVA were applied. The Tukey test was applied to determine where differences occurred. The significance level was p = 0.05. Inter-individual variability was explained by three concomitant factors: (a) a precision control strategy, (b) a velocity control strategy and (c) intrinsic characteristics of the subjects. Therefore, despite the fact that some actions are common to the basketball throwing pattern each performed demonstrated particular and individual characteristics.

Hierarchical determinants of capital structure

We analyze the influence of time-, firm-, industry- and country-level determinants of capital structure. First, we apply hierarchical linear modeling in order to assess the relative importance of those levels. We find that time and firm levels explain 78% of firm leverage. Second, we include random intercepts and random coefficients in order to analyze the direct and indirect influences of firm/industry/country characteristics on firm leverage. We document several important indirect influences of variables at industry and country-levels on firm determinants of leverage, as well as several structural differences in the financial behavior between firms of developed and emerging countries. On the relation between ownership structure and capital structure

The agency relationship between managers and shareholders has the potential to influence decision-making in the firm which in turn potentially impacts on firm characteristics such as value and leverage. Prior evidence has demonstrated an association between ownership structure and firm value. This paper extends the literature by examining a further link between ownership structure and capital structure. Using an agency framework, it is argued that the distribution of equity ownership among corporate managers and external blockholders may have a significant relation with leverage. The empirical results provide support for a positive relation between external blockholders and leverage, and non-linear relation between the level of managerial share ownership and leverage. The results also suggest that the relation between external block ownership and leverage varies across the level of managerial share ownership. These results are consistent with active monitoring by blockholders, and the effects of convergence-of-interests and management entrenchment.

The institutional configuration of sport policy in Brazil: organization, evolution and dilemmas

Brazil has become the center of the spotlight of the whole world recently, amongst many other reasons, one of them was because it was chosen to host a series of mega sporting events - Pan American Games in 2007, Confederations Football Cup in 2013, Fifa Football World Cup 2014 Games and 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2016. However, little is known about the country's administrative governmental structure focused on sport policy. The available studies focus their analysis on the sport policies content, but not on the arrangement of its structural decision-making. The main aim of this article is indeed to describe, based on official documentation, the evolution and the current arrangements of the government responsible for the administrative structure for the planning and implementation of sports policies in Brazil. Thus, we tried to list the main problems arising from the organization of the Brazilian sports' management. These problems are: (1) inappropriate institutional structure in terms of human resources and obstacles to participation by other social actors beyond the officials (parliament and members of the Ministry of Sports) in the sports policy; (2) disarticulation between public institutions generating redundancies and conflicts of jurisdiction due to the poor division of labor between bureaucracy agencies; and (3) inadequate planning proved by the lack of organization of some institutions, and by the lack of assessment and continuity of public policies over time. Therefore, we must emphasize those problems from above, and due to these administrative arrangements, Brazilian sports' policy has big challenges in the sport development in this country, which includes the creation of a national "system" for sports and a priority investment in sport education.
