Currently, we can observe a significant increase in the disappointment of the world population about education, which raised doubts about the current school system and resulted in a forced increase of interest in an education reconstruction. The investigation process of this research based itself in the qualitative exploratory approach, since it allows the interpretation of the reality of the investigated environment, and it is concern about the process and not the quantification of data. Five professionals who work for the prefecture in the city of Bauru participated in this study and they graduated in the third module of the continuing education of the department of physical education from UNESP/Bauru, which occur in the second semester of 2010. The purpose of the present study was to identify the reasons why teachers who work for the prefecture in the city of Bauru look for the continuing education in physical education and explore their expectations and perception about the course. Considering the analysis presented in this study, we can observe that the search for continuing education based itself in issues such as: the confusion that exists between theory and practice, where the teachers exemplifies that, after their initial education, theory was not consistent with the real needs of their pedagogical practice; the entry of students younger and younger in the infant and fundamental education; the search for contents that answer the needs of psychomotor development of children between 2 and 5 years old and, at the same time, contents for the inclusion of children with special needs; as well as political pedagogical issues. The destination of urban solid waste has became a very relevant theme because of the fast growth of cities. Bauru, a strategically located municipality, needs solutions for that problem. This research aims to show solid waste management in Bauru through a survey of the selective or regular garbage collection programs, treatment and final disposal of the waste. To do so, a questionnaire with 85 questions was used about solid waste management in the municipality and visits were made to the solid waste collection and disposal sites. Bauru has a bad selective collection program and very significant clandestine disposal of Hazardous waste. Furthermore, it doesnot treat hospital waste and has a deficient final disposal landfill.

A empregabilidade das pessoas com deficiência: uma análise da inclusão social no mercado de trabalho do município de Bauru, SP

Based on the precepts of social inclusion, this research objected to examine the employment of people with disability(PWD), according to decree nº 3.298 which establishes hiring quotas for PWD in companies with 100 or moreemployees. Interviews were made with employees of HR departments in 12 different companies located in the westside of the state of São Paulo, based on a structured script. All the interviews were transcripted and gathered inanalysis categories. The results showed that one third of private companies comply with the regulation foremployment of PWD. Corporate policies prioritize hiring of people whose disabilities do not demand structuralmodifications in the work environment, or those whose disabilities represent a positive aspect for production lines.The majority of the interviewed understand disabilities as an individual phenomenon. Although they have talkedabout equal rights for everyone, the majority of them do not present a consistent speech based on the precepts ofsocial inclusion, for they fail to promote actions for supporting the population with disabilities and expecting thatthose with disabilities are the ones responsible to adjust themselves to all imposed conditions.

Os desafios da House Agency: estudo de caso sobre “agência da casa” de uma empresa varejista da cidade de Bauru/SP

After the Technological Revolution, the world has undergone many social and behavioral changes that have forced companies to rethink their methods of communication in marketing. Marketing is a strategic business sector with a focus on research into the demands and needs of its customers looking beyond a quality product. Thus, to generate and mediate communication between company and client came the Communication Agencies, third party companies that provide communications services to several companies, and the House Agencies, which constitute a communication area of the company. This paper presents a survey of House Agency, its functioning, structure, demands, functional profile and presents a case study on the House of Agency retail company \\\"Supermarkets Trust\\\", pointing out the strengths and weaknesses that the company faces when choosing structuring an agency of the house.

Processo e produção visual do graffitti na cidade de Bauru/SP - Brasil: um estudo etnográfico

The graffiti is a calligraphic inscription or a drawn painted or engraved over a supported not normally used for this purpose. This artistic manifestation has been gaining more notoriety as an element of expression, reflection and actuation in the urban environment, since it is present in the streets and public ways reaching many observers with different repertoires and looks. This recent movement in Brazil has its first records in the early 80’s, but it is noteworthy that this event continues in an emergence process, consolidating increasingly as an artistic movement, in broad development, elaborating new technics, readjust and re-signifying its elements, re-improving and generating different values for the spaces. With the purpose to map the graffiti artists in Bauru/SP – Brazil, it was done an ethnography that allows to point some specific local characteristics; the relation between the artist and the city, and; the relation between the townsman and the graffiti.

A relação teoria e prática em projetos de educação ambiental desenvolvidos em um bairro de Bauru, SP, Brasil

This study examines the relationship between theory and practice that emerges from two Environmental Projects that were carried out in a popular neighborhood of Bauru, SP, . In order to analyze the data, given the diversity of theoretical and practical approaches and concepts in environmental education, we chose as a theoretical foundation critical environmental education. Considering the techniques used in the methodological procedures of qualitative research in education, we elected, as a tool to collect information, content analysis. The results presented in this paper indicate the need to break the dichotomy between form (practice) and content (theory) in the environmental educational process, focusing on the systematized and historically constructed contents. Thus, we consider the environmental education process analyzed involve treating form and content as a dialectic unit.

O palhaço pára-quedas: reflexões sobre a arte circense no município de Bauru - SP (Brasil)

This biographical and bibliographical research aimed understanding the circus and its clowns. The origin of the circus is presented taking into account its earliest manifestations in ancient Greece, until the creation of the modern circus in 1970 by Englishman Philip Astley. The clown, who was introduced in 1778 only after the circus has become an essential figure in the show, coming to represent the modern circus. Here, the different types of clowns are presented and their main characteristics are shown as a way to differentiate between them. The difficulties faced by circus companies are pointed, trying to understand the reduction of circus companies. To understand the formation and transformation of the clown in his years at the profession, the Clown Pára-quedas, artist of Bauru / SP was interviewed, their stories help to unravel some of the satisfactions of the profession and the problems faced by circus performers.

Aplicação de um método ergonômico para avaliação da permanência e atratividade em espaço público aberto: estudo de caso Parque Vitória Régia, Bauru - SP

There are several researches on evaluation of urban public space, but not all establish a relationship between the configuration of spaces with the thermal environment, ergonomics and environmental behavior of users. To understand this relationship, the aim of this paper is to present the model DEPAN (Design for Permanence and Attractiveness in niches open spaces of conviviality), based on graphical meshes, which were designed to evaluate the influence of design and ergonomics of open public spaces in the human thermal comfort and the ways in which users appropriate the space. Its applicability is demonstrated through a case study conducted in a park in the city of Bauru-SP. To perform this evaluation public space niches were chosen. They were formed by morphological elements and street furniture and defined by their spatial arrangements. The collected data were incorporated into a Geographic Information System (GIS), which allowed the overlay of meshes. The results indicate that the DEPAN model allows the verification of the spatial characteristics, thermal quality and ergonomic design generated by spaces, as well as the evaluation of the influence of these aspects in the way of using the spaces. The model allows the generation of a classification for every niche and set a value for the level of service offered.

A partir da problemática dos centros comerciais fechados e que se relacionam pouco ou nada com seu entorno, principalmente áreas públicas, este trabalho busca estabelecer um panorama histórico do consumo, dos estabelecimentos comerciais, e sua relação com o lazer e com o encontro cada vez mais evidente, para propor uma intervenção na cidade de Bauru - SP, em uma localidade consolidada, porém alvo de questões como especulação imobiliária e falta de opções qualificadas de lazer. A área de intervenção apresenta uma praça pública imediatamente ao lado, a qual é bastante frequentada em determinados horários (condicionado à um consumo alimentício), porém recebe pouca manutenção. Este trabalho busca entender as relações existentes atualmente neste local e propor um novo empreendimento que diversifique as opções presentes e possa contribuir para uma melhora estrutural, cultural e social do espaço urbano
