Bluetooth -tekniikan käyttö sähkölukon tiedonsiirrossa

Uudet langattomat tekniikat kehittyvät nopeasti ja ovat pian tulossa yhä suuremmaksi osaksi jokapäiväistä elämäämme. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on selvittää sopiiko Bluetooth teknologia käytettäväksi sähkölukon ja sitä ohjaavan keskuksen välisenä tiedonsiirtoväylänä. Työn kirjallisuusosuudessa selvitetään tavoitetaanko langattomalla tekniikalla halutut raja-arvot jotta käyttö sähkölukossa olisi järkevää. Kokeellisessa osassa mitataan oleellisia muuttujia, kuten kantamaa sekä virrankulutusta. Samalla myös verrataan keskenään kahta tutkimuksen kohteeksi valittua Bluetooth moduulia. Tekniikka täytti sille asetetut rajat ja kokeellisen tutkimuksen perusteella todettiin teknologian sekä valitun moduulin sopivan hyvin käyttötarkoitustaan varten.

Simple Low-cost Planar Antenna for Indoor Communication under the Bluetooth Protocol

A single-feed rectangular-ring microstrip antenna is proposed for indoor communication under the Bluetooth protocol. The dimensions of the antenna together with the location of the feed point are optimized through field simulations in order to cover the Bluetooth bandwidth and to avoid linear polarization. The performance and the efficiency of the antenna are illustrated in a real indoor environment

A Privacy Conscious Bluetooth Infrastructure for Location Aware Computing

We present a low cost and easily deployed infrastructure for location aware computing that is built using standard Bluetooth® technologies and personal computers. Mobile devices are able to determine their location to room-level granularity with existing bluetooth technology, and to even greater resolution with the use of the recently adopted bluetooth 1.2 specification, all while maintaining complete anonymity. Various techniques for improving the speed and resolution of the system are described, along with their tradeoffs in privacy. The system is trivial to implement on a large scale – our network covering 5,000 square meters was deployed by a single student over the course of a few days at a cost of less than US$1,000.

Plan de sucesión para la empresa industrial Tucson usando un modelo de competencias

La presente tesis, pretende definir el plan de sucesión para la empresa TUCSON en base a un modelo de competencias. Busca identificar al personal de alto desempeño o alto potencial, mediante la evaluación de competencias tanto organizacionales como técnicas, para de esta manera, determinar a los potenciales sucesores de cada posición considera como estratégica en la estructura; y, detallar para los reales sucesores, planes de formación y desarrollo de competencias, que les permitan ocupar en el mediano o largo plazo posiciones claves, garantizando la obtención de resultados superiores en el cumplimiento de sus funciones y la consecución y continuidad de los objetivos estratégicos. El capítulo I, comprende la definición del tema, el marco teórico y el sustento metodológico de la gestión por competencias, que constituye un insumo fundamental para encuadrar a la planificación de la sucesión en la administración general de los recursos humanos. El II capítulo, se enfoca en la revisión de conceptos y fundamentos descriptivos que apalancan la metodología presentada, comprende lo que es planificación de la sucesión, beneficios de su aplicación, su importancia dentro del subsistema de desarrollo y la interrelación con los subsistemas de vinculación y desempeño. En el III, se describe la metodología para la generación de un plan de sucesión, que es el objetivo fundamental de esta tesis, hace referencia a tres fases necesarias para su desarrollo. Las conclusiones y recomendaciones constan el capitulo IV.

Next generation mobile marketing: how young consumers react to Bluetooth-enabled advertising

Mobile devices are attractive media for directly communicating with consumers who have become busier and more difficult to reach. While SMS (short message service) advertising has received some attention in the literature, Bluetooth-enabled advertising is still unexplored. This research aims to investigate younger consumers’ acceptance of Bluetooth-delivered advertising. Although the majority of the respondents were willing to accept this form of advertising, they needed both to be in control of the frequency with which they receive messages and also to be reassured that the medium could ensure privacy and security. The research further indicated that peers influence the acceptance of Bluetooth-driven advertising.

3D calculation of Tucson-Melbourne 3NF effect in triton binding energy

As an application of the new realistic three-dimensional (3D) formalism reported recently for three-nucleon (3N) bound states, an attempt is made to study the effect of three-nucleon forces (3NFs) in triton binding energy in a non partial wave (PW) approach. The spin-isospin dependent 3N Faddeev integral equations with the inclusion of 3NFs, which are formulated as function of vector Jacobi momenta, specifically the magnitudes of the momenta and the angle between them, are solved with Bonn-B and Tucson-Melbourne NN and 3N forces in operator forms which can be incorporated in our 3D formalism. The comparison with numerical results in both, novel 3D and standard PW schemes, shows that non PW calculations avoid the very involved angular momentum algebra occurring for the permutations and transformations and it is more efficient and less cumbersome for considering the 3NF.

Using serial bluetooth converters as a sensor link in networked control systems

Networked control systems (NCS) are distributed control system in which sensors, actuators and controllers are physically separated and connected through communication networks. NCS represent the evolution of networked control architectures providing greater modularity and control decentralization, ease maintenance and diagnosis and lower cost of implementation. A recent trend in this research topic is the development of NCS using wireless networks which enable interoperability between existing wired and wireless systems. This paper presents the feasibility analysis of using a serial RS-232 to Bluetooth converter as a wireless sensor link in NCS. In order to support this investigation, relevant performance metrics for wireless control applications such as jitter, time delay and messages lost are highlighted and calculated to evaluate the converter capabilities. In addition the control performance of an implemented motor control system using the converter is analyzed. Experimental results led to the conclusion that serial RS-232 Bluetooth converters can be used to implement wireless networked control systems (WNCS) providing transmission rates and closed control loop times which are acceptable for NCS applications. © 2011 IEEE.
