T V C Â M A R A D E B A U R U PAPEL SOCIAL DO CANAL LEGISLATIVO E SUAS RELAÇÕES COM A COMUNIDADE LOCAL

Esta pesquisa analisa a TV CÂMARA canal legislativo municipal da cidade de Bauru, SP. Os objetivos foram levantar as formas de uso do canal, analisar o conteúdo da programação produzida e veiculada para a realidade bauruense, suas contribuições sociais na construção da consciência cidad�� e a aceitação do canal junto ao telespectador. Os procedimentos metodológicos incluíram a observação participante, que consistiu no acompanhamento interno das atividades do canal de março de 2002 a fevereiro de 2003 e em julho de 2003. A pesquisa documental que ofereceu dados sobre estratégias da programação e entrevistas, as quais permitiram colher informações sobre participação da comunidade nos programas e sua percepção sobre o papel do canal televisivo no município. Conclui-se que o canal abriu um considerável leque de opções na televisão local. A cidade se enxerga quando assiste o canal legislativo. Ainda assim a TV Câmara precisa se solidificar no meio em que atua. A participação da sociedade pode ser ampliada com mais programas e ainda de forma mais direta, inclusive na elaboração de pautas. O mais importante: o canal é um instrumento público.

Hepatitis D and B virus genotypes in chronically infected patients from the Eastern Amazon Basin

Hepatitis D virus (HDV) is a defective hepatotropic virus whose infectivity is dependent on hepatitis B virus (HBV). HDV super- or co-infiection leads to an increased risk of fulminant hepatitis or progression to severe chronic liver disease in HBV infected patients. The Brazilian Amazon Basin has been reported to be endemic for HBV and HDV, especially in the Western Amazon Basin. In this region, HDV infection is frequently associated with acute fulminant hepatitis with characteristic histologic features. HDV is classified into seven major clades (HDV-1 to HDV-7) and HBV is subdivided into eight genotypes (A-H). HDV and HBV genotypes have been shown to have a distinct geographic distribution. The aim of this study was to determine the HBV and HDV genotypes harbored by chronically infected patients from the Eastern Amazon Basin, Brazil. We studied 17 serum samples from HBV and HDV chronically infected patients admitted to a large public hospital (Santa Casa de Misericordia) at Belem, state of Para, Brazil, between 1994 and 2002. HDV-3 and HBV genotype A (subtype adw2) have been identified in all cases, in contrast to previous studies from other regions of the Amazon, where HBV genotype F has been found co-infecting patients that harbored HDV-3. The HDV-3/HBV-A co-infection suggests that there is not a specific interaction between HBV and HDV genotypes, and co-infection might merely reflect the most frequent genotypes found in a particular geographic area. The analysis of the carboxy-terminal region of the large hepatitis D antigen (L-HDAg), which interacts with the hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) and is essential for HDV assembly, showed some diversity between the different isolates from the Eastern Amazon. Le motif de la ruse est une constante de l'imaginaire africain et ses figures, souvent animales dans les contes, attestent de la valeur symbolique de cet art du stratagème. Avec la complicité du roman d'H. Bâ, L'étrange destin de Wangrin, et celui d'A. Kourouma, Monnè, outrages et d��fis, nous allons montrer que la ruse et le rusé ont subi une métamorphose en devenant des pratiques textuelles. La ruse littéraire donne voix à « l'autre » et la langue construite sous ce signe-là est le lieu d'une prise de pouvoir, celle de sa propre énonciation.

Localization of Cathepsins D and B at the Maternal-Fetal Interface and the Invasiveness of the Trophoblast during the Postimplantation Period in the Mouse

A survey of existing data suggests that trophoblast cells produce factors involved in extracellular matrix degradation. In this study, we correlated the expression of cathepsins D and B in the murine ectoplacental cone with the ultrastructural progress of decidual invasion by trophoblast cells. Both proteases were immunolocalized at implantation sites in lysosome-endosome-like compartments of trophoblast giant cells. Cathepsin D, but not cathepsin B, was also detected ultrastructurally in extracellular compartments surrounded by processes of the invading trophoblast containing extracellular matrix components and endometrial cell debris. The expression of cathepsins D and B by trophoblast cells was confirmed by RT-PCR in ectoplacental cones isolated from implantation chambers at gestation day 7.5. Our data addressed a positive relationship between the expression and presence of cathepsin D at the extracellular compartment of the maternal-fetal interface and the invasiveness of the trophoblast during the postimplantation period, suggesting a participation of invading trophoblast cells in the cathepsin D release. Such findings indicate that mouse trophoblast cells might exhibit a proteolytic ability to partake in the decidual invasion process at the maternal-fetal interface. Copyright (C) 2010 S. Measurement of the Lifetime of the B-c(+/-) Meson in the Semileptonic Decay Channel

Measurement of gamma + b + X and gamma + c + X Production Cross Sections in pp > Collisions at s=1.96 TeV

First measurements of the differential cross sections d(3)sigma/(dp(T)(gamma)dy(gamma)dy(jet)) for the inclusive production of a photon in association with a heavy quark (b, c) jet are presented, covering photon transverse momenta 30 < p(T)(gamma)< 150 GeV, photon rapidities |y(gamma)|< 1.0, jet rapidities |y(jet)|< 0.8, and jet transverse momenta p(T)(jet)> 15 GeV. The results are based on an integrated luminosity of 1 fb(-1) in pp collisions at s=1.96 TeV recorded with the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. The results are compared with next-to-leading order perturbative QCD predictions.

Exotic B-c-like molecules in QCD sum rules

We use the QCD sum rules to study possible B-c-like molecular states. We consider isoscalar J(P) = 0(+) and J(P) = 1(+) D(*) B(*) molecular currents. We consider the contributions of condensates up to dimension eight and we work at leading order in alpha(s). We obtain for these states masses around 7 GeV. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V.
