Buscando identificar marcadores populacionais que indiquem supostos mecanismos de isolamento entre as populações, no presente trabalho foram realizadas análises filogenéticas e filogeográficas em populações de Hypostomus strigaticeps, com base em sequências de DNA mitocondrial do gene ATPase 8/6. Um total de 32 exemplares provenientes de 11 populações de quatro sub-bacias: rio Mogi-Guaçu (duas), rio Paranapanema (cinco), rio Tietê (três) e Rio do Peixe (um), tiveram DNA extraído e o gene ATPase 8/6 completamente amplificado (840 pares de base) e sequenciado. As sequências obtidas foram alinhadas com o programa Bioedit, as análises filogenéticas foram realizadas no programa MEGA 5.0 através do método de Neighbor-Joining, Máxima Parcimônia e Minimun-Evolution, com 1000 réplicas de boostrap. Para as análises filogeográficas as sequências foram analisadas no programa TCS. As análises filogenéticas mostraram que a espécie forma uma unidade monofilética composta por duas linhagens: “TG” com representantes das populações dos rios Tietê, Mogi-Guaçu e Rio do Peixe, e “PC” com representantes dos rios Paranapanema e reservatório de Chavantes. A divergência genética da linhagem “TG” é de 0,1% e da linhagem “PP” é de 0,2%, enquanto a divergência genética entre as duas linhagens é de cerca de 1%. Na análise filogeográfica observou-se a existência de seis haplótipos (A-H), sendo o haplótipo A considerado ancestral para as populações analisadas. Apenas os representantes da bacia do Tietê possuem o haplótipo ancestral. Os haplótipos A, B e F possuem a maior frequência (18,51%). Os resultados obtidos para uma população do Mogi-guaçu (Cachoeira de Emas), mostram que estes peixes são muito distantes das demais populações de H. strigaticeps, tanto no ponto de vista filogenético quanto no ponto de vista fitogeográfico... Increasingly, people searches for an efficient and economic way for transporting bulk materials. Transport through belts is now the most widely used mean for transporting bulk materials, used by companies from various sectors such as mining, quarrying, agribusiness, etc. There are many advantages of using a conveyor belt as compared to rail or by truck. Trucks needs a driver, have a high risk of accidents as well as a high cost for maintenance and as well as trains, after making the downloading of the material, return empty to the next load. The cost for the construction of a railway is very high, making it often impossible. The conveyor belt have a high cost of installation, but it works 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The upper side of the belt is always loaded, the maintenance cost is average and the risk of accidents is low, causing it to be the ideal way to transport bulk materials. This monography aims to interest the reader about what is a conveyor belt, what are its main components and demonstrate the basic calculations for their sizing and selection of components. Throughout the work, scaled a belt conveyor for use in the mining sector, but the concepts demonstrated apply to the transport of any material

A espécie Prochilodus lineatus, considerada um migrador por excelência, possui intensa ocorrência durante a migração reprodutiva. São peixes de elevado valor econômico e a sua adaptação em cativeiro os tornam altamente interessantes para desenvolvimento de programas de piscicultura. O monitoramento regular das variações genéticas nos estoques é importante em programas de conservação, evitando o declínio da variabilidade genética, essencial para a conservação das espécies. No entanto, os poucos dados moleculares populacionais para Prochilodus lineatus justificam a presente proposta. Nesse sentido, tivemos como objetivo caracterizar a variabilidade genética e estabelecer as relações filogeográficas entre 6 populações de P. lineatus das bacias dos rios Paraguai (2 do rio Paraguai e 3 do rio Cuiabá, MT) e Paraná (1 do rio Mogi-Guaçu, SP), num total de 34 indivíduos. Outros 16 indivíduos dos rios: da Prata, Uruguai, Paraná, Bermejo, Paraguai, Amazonas e Madeira, cujas sequências foram obtidas do National Center for Biotechnology Information (Genbank), foram analisados, totalizando assim, 50 indivíduos. Como grupo externo foi utilizado Salminus brasiliensis. O estudo foi realizado através das análises das sequências do gene mitocondrial ATPase 8/6. O interesse do uso de um gene mitocondrial está na vasta literatura que esse possui em análises filogenéticas e na confiança que existe nos dados gerados de tais análises. O gene citado foi completamente sequenciado (842pb), as análises filogenéticas foram conduzidas pelos métodos “Neighbor Joining (NJ)”, “Minimum Evolution (ME)” e “Máxima Parcimônia (MP)”, com 1000 réplicas de bootstrap no programa MEGA 5.0. Para análises filogeográficas as sequências foram analisadas no programa TCS e no programa Arlequin. Os resultados auxiliarão em uma melhor compreensão da história evolutiva, migração... Pipelines are linear engineering works, designed mostly for transporting oil and its derivatives for long distances, furnishing even the farthermost zones of the country. Due to oil sector needs to ensure for the safety and conservation of its properties, several geotechnical studies are being held at the pipelines field, in order to preserve this important transportation, and also to prevent accidents, which might seriously compromise the environment and the population who lives around it. The OSBRA pipeline, who connects the city of Paulínia to the capital Brasília, is one of these engineering works that deserves to be pointed out. This research, performed at the Ribeirão da Prata Basin, was a pilot study conducted with the main objective of testing the current methodology efficiency, for future applications in the closest watersheds to the OSBRA pipeline. The objective of this research is to analyze flood wave and debris flow processes in a non-fictional watershed, by comparing two different kinds of methods: the first one based on simulation models (software ‘ABC 6’), and the other one by flood wave and debris flow susceptibility mapping. The results from the hydrological modeling were both hydrographs and ietographs that estimated values of outputs and infiltration. To construct the susceptibility maps were necessary three other maps: ground use and occupation maps, divided according to the different protection degrees that were offered to the ground; maps of dam locations in the area and physiographic compartimentation maps, divided according to the local geology. To complete the methodology, the results were collected from both methods for comparison. The obtained product for this methodology was series of data whose different susceptibility degrees to flood wave and debris flow could define the safest route for a pipeline crossing in this watershed...

This assignment intents to analyze the recover and the research of the cultural legacy identity of Vicentina Aranha Sanatorium to the inhabitants of the city of São José dos Campos-SP. That initiative becomes present through the importancy of the sanatorium to the public health of Vale do Paraíba in the decades between 30 and 70, of the 20th century. Nowadays this place refuges a park, presenting a reexamination of its space, with the possibility of the leisure practice, entertaining and tourism. The Vicentina Aranha Sanatorium Park presents itself conserving a landscape that is able of being inserted in a continuum past-present resignifying ways of appropriation and use. The word patrimony has many meanings and it‟s commonly associated to the set of goods that someone, the society or an entity owns. Transporting in a determinate territory, the patrimony starts to be a set of goods that are in its limits of administrative competency. (BARRETO, 2000). More than this, the cultural-historical patrimony guard a relation of belonging between it and the entity that has it. The Vicentina Aranha Sanatorium was inaugurated in 1924, with the project of the architect, Ramos de Azevedo, constituting an architectural ensemble placed under governmental trust as a historical and cultural patrimony of the state in 2001. It has a grove with centenary vegetal species like: MOGNO, PEROBA ROSA, JEQUITIBÁ and JACARANDA, constituting also a natural patrimony important for the city. There are projects like “Leitura no Bosque” and it‟s visited by the local population. Today the city seeks a new identity for that place transforming it in the center of industrial and technologic study

The current problematic of the construction and demolition (C&D) waste faced for the Brazilian cities, is one of the main degradation factors of the environment, over all about the promise of the urban ambient quality. This scenery must mainly to the unsustainable management adopted by the great majority of the Brazilian cities. Therefore, this work aims at to offer subsidies for medium cities, having as study object the city of Rio Claro-SP, (Brazil), in the elaboration of plans and integrated programs of sustainable management of the construction and demolition waste, in accordance with CONAMA Resolution nº 307/2002, that’s set up a sustainable management system of C&D waste. In this direction, the diagnosis of the management was elaborated for the city of Rio Claro, (generation, collects, transport and disposal) and the public administration of the construction and demolition waste, as well as of the study of the related aspects with C&D waste recycling plant. Later, was suggested a plan of improvements for the public manager of C&D waste: areas of temporary disposal to facility the appropriating destination, appropriated areas of final disposal, incentives to the recycling of C&D waste, new legislations, education and orientation programs and adequacy the agents of C&D waste management (generating, transporting, addressee and public manager), directing for an environmental, economic and social sustainability.

This paper seeks to show which impacts there are of the combined use of different modal for the coffee’s outflow. Nowadays is used, almost exclusively, the roadway to transport. How-ever, for this product with low added value, the types of transports best suited, in the litera-ture, are the railway and waterway. For this, is describe the development and spread of coffee throughout Brazil. Subsequently, is calculate the current cost of transporting two producing regions (Minas Gerais and Rondônia), using for that information about the freight, the social cost, and the level of losses along the way. After that is projected costs if utilizes the multi-modal model, when considering the same cost parameters used for the current model. Here-after, an analysis is made of the obtained cost, speed, consistency, capacity, availability and frequency of each transport model. Therefore, note that the multi-modal system is more ef-ficient and economical than current, based on transport by road

Introduction: Aortic insufficiency (AoI), a volume overload, is characterized by the diastolic reflux of blood from the regurgitating aorta to the left ventricle. This effect results from malfunctioning aortic cusps. The main cause of AoI in developing countries is rheumatic fever, including Brazil, and valvar degeneration in developed countries. There is a strong association between cardiovascular diseases and depression. Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI) are one of the most prescribed antidepressants in the world. Previous studies of our laboratory showed that the utilization of a SSRI, paroxetine, improved cardiac function in rats with sub-chronic AoI and reduced the daily ingestion of hypertonic sodium (NaCl 0,3M). Cardiovascular diseases can determine behavior changes like increase of anxiety, and it is yet unknown if AoI would determine anxiety or anhedonia, incapacity of obtaining pleasure through physical or sensorial experiences. A possible target for SSRI action could be a change in the expression of enzyme isoforms that collaborate in the contractile function of the heart muscle, like the heavy chains of myosine, the sarcoplasmatic reticulum Ca2+/ATPase (SERCA) and its regulator protein, phospholamban (PLB). Objectives: Evaluation of behavior parameters for anxiety and anhedonia state and genic expression of a-myosine, b-myosine, SERCA2a and PLB in the heart tissue of rats with subchronic AoI that received treatment with an SSRI (paroxetine) for 4 weeks. Methods: Surgery to induce AoI was performed on male Wistar rats, anxiety was evaluated by the elevated plus-maze (EPM) and state of anhedonia was tested by ingestion of 2% sucrose solution. After euthanasia the heart tissue was collected and total RNA was extracted to be analyzed by the RT-qPCR method. In the final decades of the nineteenth century, the growth of Italian emigration was constituted in a secure source of income for the shipping companies that operated in the Atlantic and played a major role in financing the replacement of old sailboats by modern steamers. Based on reports and balance exercises financial, besides newspapers related to mercantile marine, this article aims to present some results of the research about the importance of Italians emigrants’ transporting to the shipping company La Veloce, showing its economic trajectory and particularities.

A general analysis of the behaviour of "Cebus" shows that when this primate moves position to feed or perform another activity, it presents different ways of locomotion. This information shows that the brachial biceps muscle of this animal is frequently used in their locomotion activities, but it should also be remembered that this muscle is also used for other development activities like hiding, searching for objects, searching out in the woods, and digging in the soil. Considering the above, it was decided to research the histoenzimologic characteristics of the brachial biceps muscle to observe whether it is better adpted to postural or phasic function. To that end, samples were taken from the superficial and deep regions, the inserts proximal (medial and lateral) and distal brachial biceps six capuchin monkeys male and adult, which were subjected to the reactions of m-ATPase, NADH-Tr. Based on the results of these reactions fibres were classified as in Fast Twitch Glycolitic (FG), Fast Twitch Oxidative Glycolitic (FOG) and Slow Twitc (SO). In general, the results, considering the muscle as a whole, show a trend of frequency FOG>FG>SO. The data on the frequency were studied on three superficial regions FOG=FG>SO; the deep regions of the inserts proximal FOG=FG=SO and inserting the distal FOG>FG=SO. In conclusion, the biceps brachii of the capuchin monkey is well adapted for both postural and phasic activities.
