The modernist poet Emílio Moura (1902-1971) incorporates a strictly modern language regarding the imagistic suggesting a mainly poetry metalinguistic. That way, from the works Canto da hora amarga (1932) and Cancioneiro (1944) we attest, through the poetic analysis, that modernity Moura’s poetry takes place in confluences with ideas ranging from biblical tradition and come to the depersonalization of the modern I and questing. We objectify, therefore, demonstrate and explore the metalinguistic and intertextual character that results in the personification of poetry, as clarified muse. To achieve this, this same poetry undergoes a dualistic and pessimistic sentiment, baroque, the I that is divided into life and death, light and shadow; goes through a romantic feeling of anguish and desolation and reaches the multiplicity of the poetic speaker, which promotes a constant struggle with the language. More than draw a correlation between classical and modern ideas (in the sense that the poet creates depersonalization and appropriates of free, short prose or verse, typical of modernism), intend to supply, at least in part, the dearth of studies on the miner poet who has found fertile ground to question and analyze internally the role of poetry in the multiplicity of man and modern society to therefore conclude that universalism the Emílio Moura becomes distinctive and mature. Thus, we will check how poetic inflows corroborate both works for reevaluation and critical insertion of poetic the Emílio Moura in the context of modern/Modernist Brazilian literature

Focar-se-á na atividade de criação bovina, pois, além de ser muito difícil analisar todas as atividades econômicas com a devida importância que cada uma merece, a atividade em estudo é a que mais emprega mão-de-obra escrava atualmente na região Amazônica

The information society is increasingly incorporating the immense volume of content available on the net. Access by electronic devices and the resulting ease of mobility and portability feed discussions on actual capacity of appropriation of this knowledge that circulates through cyberspace. Address and discuss the possibilities of educating across the network, therefore, gains more and more importance. On models of educational quality well developed – as is the case in Finland, for example-, Brazilian education is, year after year, failing in international marathons to achieve below average indexes required. Creates a field of analysis, in which this article arises, in the quest to understand more deeply the opportunity of use of Information and communication technologies (ICT) for a quality education, plunging by cultural issues that fall in the construction of objective conditions offered to students. Considered by critics to be the highest point in T. S. Eliot’s poetic production, the Four Quartets carry out a poetical reflection on time under the direct influence of Henri Bergson’s philosophy. What we would like to show in this article is how Eliot’s poetical use of Bergson’s concept of durée makes it possible for the poet to articulate poetry and thought in a unique combination which is peculiar to Eliot’s poetry. The peculiarity of such combination poetry-thought in the Four Quartets, this is the second point we would like to show, fundamentally involves a religious-poetical-philosophical syncretism that can be seen already in Eliot’s first poems, but which gets full expression in the Four Quartets.

Neste artigo pretende-se mostrar que, em certos poemas do Gaspard de la Nuit, o sonho funciona não só como um motivo literário, mas também como componente da construção textual.

Within the De optimum genere oratorum we can find the statements of a Rhetoric of Translation (106-43 B. C.) where Cicero defines a set of discursive rules considered necessary for an efficient translatorial act. As his ideas about translation are reviewed, this article aims to present some important theoretical aspects of Cicero’s thought and to display his practice through the commentary of a short excerpt from Homer translated by him.

This study presents a brief reflection on the genesis of literary genres in Ancient Greece. It is intended here, in the first place, take us off this "comfort zone" when we talk about "Greek literature" in antiquity, at least from the period of Homer until the fifth century. B.C. , moment when, in fact, the writing has become stable not only in the continent but spreads out reaching the Italian peninsula and generating what we have today as the Roman alphabet. Therefore, we examine some terms that appear to be so clear for us which termed other doings, such as poetry, poem, among others. We also examine issues concerning the epic, lyrical and dramatic poetry.

The contemporary Brazilian poetic production is marked by a strong diversity in the forms of expression and the thematic contents that it makes circulate; it is found either turned to the critical reading of the Brazilian poetry‟s most traditional repertoire, or more concerned about the research of new expressive models afforded by language. Such constitutive diversity, which operates on the intermediate gradients between these two tendencies, finds itself underlined by the little orthodox practice of the production divulgation and circulation, that appropriated the internet and the poetic performances to compensate the low paper-based edition. What we have is a type of poetic dialectology which identifies the poetry readers group. Verifying the most regular procedures in the construction of the dialectology, through the work of Eucanaã Ferraz and João Cabral, is the objective of this paper.
