Mulheres fazem isso? Análise das estratégias de gestão do rúgbi feminino no Brasil

This paper presents the integrated sports marketing to female rugby management in Brazil and analyzes the strategies used to popularize this sport. The Brazilian Confederation of Rugby in 2011 developed a strategic planning with the objective of restructuring mode and has been using sports marketing concepts to promote rugby, aiming its growth, both in numbers of practitioners, as supporters and fans. To perform the proposed objective was conducted a survey exploratory on the rugby modality that will be present at the Olympic Games in 2016. We analyze also the history of women's Rugby Team and the tools of marketing and sportive management used by the Confederation. At the end is a study of the strategies of sports management female rugby in Brazil, taking into consideration also the gender issue, especially the obstacles women face athletes in a sport that is blended with the virility and strength male.

Autocuidado na percepção de pessoas com hanseníase sob a ótica da complexidade

Objective: This study aimed to understand how patients with Hansen's Disease perceive self-care from the complexity perspective. Methods: Qualitative, descriptive and exploratory study based on the Collective Subject Discourse. Results: Sample composed of 15 subjects, most of whom were married males (66.6%) with a mean age of 52.3 years and were classified in the polarized forms of the disease. The following themes emerged from the DCS synthesis: having Hansen's Disease, drug therapy, self-care and lifestyle. The study provided visibility to the vertical model, which is largely hegemonic in the tradition of public health care policies, showing concern about only treating the disease, disregarding the complex relationships involved. Conclusion: Acknowledging these limitations and setting strategies to change them in favor of the dialogue among interprofessional team members are challenges to further develop self-care practices and to empower patients in relation to treatment and disease.

Desempenho reprodutivo de borregas da raça Suffolk criadas com suplementação em comedouro privativo

In order to evaluate the effect of levels of supplementation with concentrate containing 25 % CP and 3.18 Mcal kg-1 MS-1 for feeder lambs on pasture in private about the weight and performance in different ages, the onset of puberty and reproductive performance, 21 Suffolk lambs were used, divided into three batches, with and without supplementation, fed from birth to weaning with two levels of intake of concentrate (300 and 600 g-1 day) given once a day with the daily record of leftovers. The lambs were identified, weighed at birth and every 30 days and were weaned at 60 days. There was no significant difference in weight and average daily weight gain at 30 days old. The weight and average daily weight gain were influenced by the level of food supplementation. The lot with the consumption of 600g showed superior performance to the other lots at 60 and 120 days old. For lots of 300 grams or without supplementation there was no difference for the parameters analyzed. The availability of 600 g per day of concentrate for lambs until weaning promoted greater average daily weight gain at 60 and 120 days of life and better reproductive performance in the second year of copulation.

Maternidade e natureza: dominadores comuns?

Encontramo-nos inseridos em uma crise que afeta diversas dimensões da vida do planeta e imersos em uma sociedade pautada no 'progresso' civilizatório desenfreado que se utiliza da dominação como instrumento central. A percepção hegemônica atual se pauta no universo como um universo mecânico, no meio natural a puro serviço humano e na mulher inferiorizada, padronizada e subordinada ao homem. Este trabalho parte da necessidade de assinalar os mecanismos que dominam, excluem, padronizam e normatizam a maternidade como os mesmos que dominam a natureza e traçam a crise ecológica. Tendo como referencial teórico, o Ecofeminismo relaciona e interconecta os padrões de dominação da natureza como os mesmos que propagam a subordinação da mulher dentro de sistemas patriarcais. Utilizando como método a revisão bibliográfica não-sistematizada, a pesquisa traça paralelos entre movimentos feministas e ecológicos mostrando a maternidade como um foco a ser olhado cuidadosamente para termos uma quebra nos padrões atuais de desenvolvimento. Para melhor organização, registro do conteúdo e acesso às obras consultadas foram feitos fichamentos das mesmas com corpo contendo resumo, citações, transcrições e reflexões

Pólis vs. Oikos: a investigação do papel feminino no drama grego

This work analyzes the consequences of the intersection between the two spheres polis and oikos. It does so by examining themes present in three plays: Medea, Agamemnon and Lysistrata. The focus of the analysis is the way in which the feminine characters react to conflicts of interests in their respective situations. To fully comprehend which values correspond to which mentioned institution, the work also necessarily investigates the socialization and functions of both genders in fifth-century Athenian society. The analysis of the feminine condition in the creation myth implies the importance of the misogynistic sense of that time, which culminated in the silencing, discrediting, and systemic repression of females. The role of women in society, instilled in all girls starting in early childhood, is to succeed in marriage and domestic permanence. This lies opposite the masculine role, which was focused outside of the family center and to environments relating to war and public life. Matrimony and family, traditional female values, were threatened when overlapping with male interests, such as unavoidable war or social ascension through a different matrimonial bond. Therefore, it is possible to affirm that the opposition evident in the definitions male vs. female indicates that, in certain contexts, the interests of each element cause the conflicts present in the chosen plays

Caridean Shrimps Associated with the Slimy Sea Plume (Pseudopterogorigia americana) in Midsummer at Guana Island, British Virgin Islands, West Indies

Fifty-one slimy sea plumes (Pseudopterogorgia americana Gmelin, 1791) were sampled for caridean shrimps at Guana Island, British Virgin Islands, during one week in July 1992. Sam- pling depth ranged from 3-22 m. Nine species were collected: Hippolyte nicholsoni Chace, 1972; Latreutes sp.; Neopontonides chacei Heard, 1986; Perclimenes cf. patae Heard and Spotte, 1991; Periclimenes cf. pauper Holthuis, 1951; Periclimenes sp.; Pseudocoutierea antillensis Chace, 1972; Tozeuma cf. cornutum Milne Edwards, 1881; and Trachycaris rugosa (Bate, 1888). A total of 1,418 specimens (including fragments) was obtained. The number of shrimp species per gorgonian ranged from 1-5; one gorgonian harbored 156 shrimps. The two predominant species, N. chacei and H. nicholsoni, occupy different mean depths (12.6 and 8.2 m, respectively). Sexual dimorphism assessed with Mann-Whitney U-tests was not apparent in the specimens of N. chacei (P > 0.05), but females of H. nicholsoni were significantly larger than males (P < 0.001). Minimum carapace length (CL, the tip of the rostrum to the posterior dorsal margin of the carapace) at which male N. chacei acquire a single appendix masculina spine is 1.25 mm; male H. nicholsoni can acquire a single spine at 0.9 mm CL. Histological sections of male N. chacei showed that shrimp with 0 or 1 spine are least likely to be mature. Female N. chacei can become ovigerous at 1.9 mm CL and female H. nicholsoni at 1.2 mm CL. The taxonomic status of 5 of the 9 species collected is uncertain.
