Análise doprojeto de expansãode um armazém por meio da elaboração de um layout e análise de investimento: estudo de caso em uma fábrica do setor alimentício

The proper management of materials storage is essential to supply the needs of production and reduce the inventory costs. Moreover, an effective layout contributes to improve the productivity and reduce the operational costs of a warehouse. This way, the purpose of this study was: to propose an expansion project to the warehouse of a factory in the food sector, suggesting a layout that best fit their needs and to verify its economic feasibility. To achieve this goal, it was applied methods such as ABC curve, spaghetti diagram and concepts of economics engineering to the analysis of investment in the project. The results showed that the second layout model was better than the first, supporting the storage capacity required by the company and presenting an internal movement more efficient. However, with the investment analysis, it was found that it was not feasible, given the conditions of the company, investing in the expansion of the warehouse

Estudo da tratabilidade de água pluvial utilizando coagulante natural a base de tanino visando fins não potáveis

This paper aimed to study the treatability of rainwater collected in Rio Claro, SP, using natural coagulant tannin based. The tannin was compared with other too primary coagulants, namely ferric chloride and corn starch. Assays were performed in laboratory scale using equipment known as Jarteste and aimed to study the conditions most suitable dosage and coagulation pH. First tests were conducted to compare the coagulating and determination of the conditions to be used in the following tests, taking as a criterion the greatest efficiency for water treatment. Also performed were performed tests to construct the tannin coagulation diagram, using the optimal concentration found in the previous phase, by varying the dosage of coagulant and the pH of clotting in order to determine the isoefficiency regions for apparent color and turbidity. Finally, tests were performed cyclically filtration with filter paper. Preliminary tests indicated that the vegetable tannin concentration 3% (m/m) from the commercial solution was presented the best set of results (84.3% removal of apparent color and 82.51% removal of turbidity) compared to ferric chloride (66.25% removal efficiency and apparent color of turbidity 67.82%) and starch (73.68% removal efficiency apparent color and turbidity to 67.19%). The coagulation diagrams indicate that the best region to work with vegetable tannin 3% is where the coagulant dosage ranges from 15 mg/L to about 37.5 mg/L and coagulation pH ranging from about 6.5 to 7.5. The cyclic filtration showed to be not efficient for the best dosage of coagulant, due to the process of clogging of the filter paper, but proved to be efficient for other dosages. Thus, for the waters studied, the results indicate that the natural coagulant based tannin is an alternative to conventional coagulants, possessing benefits of technical and environmental

Influência do exercício resistido aplicado de forma aguda sobre a variabilidade da frequência cardíaca em jovens ativos saudáveis: análise por meio de índices geométricos

Introduction: The triangular index and the Poincaré plot (or Lorenz plot) are the best known indexes obtained from geometric methods. The triangular index (TINN, RRtri) represent the global variability of the subject and SD1, which reflects the parasympathetic component, SD2, index of global variability and its relationship (SD1/SD2) are obtained from the Poincaré plot. Despite the literature showing changes in the cardiovascular system during and after the resistance exercise (RE), aspects related to autonomic modulation of heart against these conditions have not been explored yet, so it is important to evaluate this behavior. Objectives: Analyze the acute effects of RE on the cardiac autonomic modulation during recovery (REC) through analysis of geometric indices of heart rate variability (HRV), applied with different intensities and muscle groups in healthy and active young. Methods: Were evaluated 24 young, 22.25 ± 2.4 years and 24.47 ± 3.08 kg/m2, underwent an experimental protocol of five stages, in the first stage was conducted a test of one maximum repetition (1RM) in upper limbs (UL) and lower limb (LL), and the following steps were initiated interventions to 40 (E) and 80% (F) of 1RM. Método de Taguchi aplicado a um processo de corte por fusão de um tecido sintético

A company must have full knowledge and control of its operations so as to meet the market requirements and meet their production goals. Thus this paper uses the Taguchi method to extend the operational control of a cutting process by fusion of a synthetic fabric in the longitudinal direction. For process analysis and tracking of possible causes of the problem techniques of Production Engineering as the cause and effect diagram, also known as Ishikawa diagram, and design of experiments were used, the last one was applied to the design techniques of Taguchi. Finally the preparation method of understanding and design of experiment was due to the use of the software MINITAB v15 ®, which showed that the speed of rolling the fabric after cutting is crucial for controlling the entire operation

Qual o papel da mídia na aprendizagem e desenvolvimento da criança de educação fundamental I, em idade de alfabetização: ela forma, informa, dificulta, diverte ou deseduca?

Este trabalho de conclusão de curso tem como objetivo analisar a mídia televisiva, no que diz respeito a seus interesses e programações, levando em consideração a conseqüente relação conflituosa entre esta e as crianças brasileiras, uma vez que a mídia não oferece programas de qualidade que respeitem a diversidade cultural. O trabalho analisa os conteúdos dos programas oferecidos pela mídia e compara-os com o que se propõem a Convenção da ONU realizada em 1989 Sobre os Diretos da Criança, no que diz respeito a mídia em geral. A partir de base teórica busca refletir sobre o impacto das mensagens dos programas de televisão na mente da criança e consequentemente afetando seu desenvolvimento cognitivo, moral e emocional. Sendo que percorrendo esse caminho de análise, procura-se mostrar uma possível reflexão e mudança através da educação para mídia e participação na mesma, envolvendo pais, professores, as políticas públicas e as próprias crianças.

Our aim is to understand how the poet uses rhetorical strategies in order to recreate or create – by means of the verb, the space around him. The term “rhetorical strategy” is used here in its broadest sense, and relates to devices that the poet uses to give iconic visibility to the space described, exploring the landscape through language and in this way unraveling a bit of  the poetic form of the world

In this paper, I focus on one type of grammatical change consisting of creating periphrastic junctures from nominal sources used in relative clause contexts. This is a periphrase production mechanism that has been increasing the unstable paradigm of junctures and helping delineate Portuguese language grammar. One construction resulting from this mechanism is (na) hora que, in relation to which I propose to investigate form, meaning and history. The central aim is to show the emergence of (na) hora que, a grammaticalization instance in course, in which it is possible to catch stages of the its gradual constitution process, concerning both the syntagmatic reorganization of items with consequent morphological losses, and the constitution of meanings, with the origin of polysemies, pointing to a directionality grounded on the increase of the cognitive complexity

O ensino da compostagem e produção de sabão como forma de gerenciamento dos resíduos sólidos domiciliares

Introdução: O adequado gerenciamento dos resíduos sólidos domiciliares (RSD) tem se estabelecido nas últimas décadas como um importante instrumento na diminuição do lixo doméstico destinados aos aterros. A compostagem doméstica e a produção de sabão a partir de óleo usado são alternativas para a reciclagem dos RSD que, ao contrário dos lixos recicláveis, não são explorados comercialmente. Assim, o ensino dessas técnicas para a comunidade pode ser uma ferramenta útil na educação ambiental, disseminando práticas que evitam a destinação final de resíduos sólidos em aterros e desenvolvendo valores para a sustentabilidade. Objetivos: Ensinar formas de reciclagem dos RSD através de técnicas de compostagem e produção de sabão a partir de óleo usado, servindo também como instrumento para promover a educação ambiental, e conscientizar a comunidade sobre a importância de um adequado gerenciamento de resíduos. Métodos: As atividades de ensino consistiram em duas partes, unindo teoria e prática, por meio da apresentação de painéis explicativos sobre compostagem, produção de sabão, e sobre as vantagens decorrentes desses processos seguida da realização das técnicas apresentadas, com a produção de sabão em barra e líquido com óleo usado, e pela montagem de pequenas composteiras em garrafões PET de 5 litros de água mineral reaproveitados. Resultados: As atividades foram realizadas em eventos abertos a sociedade de São José do Rio Preto, tais como a Semana da Tecnologia, em outubro de 2010 e a Semana do Meio Ambiente, em junho de 2011, ambas desenvolvidas no SESC (Serviço Social do Comércio) da cidade. O público foi variado, incluindo desde aposentados e donas de casa até estudantes e profissionais de diversos setores. O interesse em anotar as metodologias explicadas culminou na idéia de produzir um material impresso que contivesse as receitas de sabão (líquido e em barra), os procedimentos e dicas de como realizar a compostagem. A convite de uma escola pública, houve também a apresentação das atividades para pais de alunos e funcionários interessados em aprender as práticas para o adequado gerenciamento dos RSD, levando à discussão das possibilidades de implantação de um projeto de compostagem na própria escola.

This paper is a literature review on several sources of knowledge, seeking an interdisciplinary way in physics, chemistry, biology, psychology and physical education, relate the body, mind and their interactions with the environment, building a more current concept of body. The studies showed that the physical, cognitive, emotional, social and environmental aspects involve an interaction continues between human been with the world, which changes shapes, balances and transactions, and thus human behavior. O artigo analisa aspectos das relações entre a escolarizaçãoe os processos culturais mais amplos, tomando como fontedocumental manuais didáticos produzidos para uso em cursos deformação de professores, que circularam no Brasil e em Portugalno período final do século XIX e no início do século XX. Foramfocalizados elementos passíveis de generalização, entre eles aunidade da forma escolar e as diferentes práticas prescritas aosprofessores, destinadas a enraizar valores e ideais no processoformativo. Lei Maria da Penha: uma nova forma de vida da mulher brasileira?

This article proposes an analysis of the Law no. 11340, August 7th, 2006, known as “Maria da Penha” law. The study is based on the theoretical guidelines of French Semiotics, mainly on the earlier studies conducted by Algirdas Julien Greimas and the recent developments in Jacques Fontanille, Claude Zilberberg and Eric Landowski’s researches, concerning the forms of life. In this regard, we verify whether the aforesaid law constitutes a new way of life of the Brazilian woman.
