Desenvolveu-se no Instituto de Engenharia Nuclear um sistema de aquisição de dados para avaliação das condições operacionais de unidades industriais pelo estudo das curvas Distribuição do Tempo de Residência - RTD, composto de detectores cintiladores NaI (Tl) 3”x 3” conectados a analisadores monocanal cujos sinais são captados por uma interface acoplada a um microcomputador. Para a análise das informações coletadas desenvolveu-se o programa TRACER que efetua um tratamento matemático preliminar dos dados; apresenta na tela a curva RTD, e calcula valores como o tempo de residência médio e as funções resposta, tanto para estímulos instantâneos como para estímulos contínuos. As informações levantadas permitem a identificação de problemas como possíveis canalizações, fugas, zonas mortas e decréscimo na eficiência das unidades. Todo o conjunto é disposto em módulos compactos o que possibilita seu transporte e instalação em unidades industriais.

The jabuticaba fruit tree from classified in the Myrtaceae family and Plinia genre. There are about nine species of this fruit tree, that include as most important, Plinia trunciflora (jabuticaba de cabinho), naturally occurring in southwestern Paraná State, Brazil, P. cauliflora (jabuticaba Paulista or Jabuticaba Açu) and P. jaboticaba (Vell) (jabuticaba sabará), with all the over species producing fruit for the industry or fresh consumption. Nevertheless, there aren‟t commercial orchards with this culture, with highest yield part from extractive. This fact can be combined with lack of technical knowledge for the plants produce in the field. As these species are found in the forest, the first point is whether they can adapt to other light intensity conditions. The aim of this work was to identify the adaptive behavior of jabuticaba fruit seedling and tree when they were put in different light intensities and what this can be considered ideal for the growth, as well as, its influence in the leaves secondary compounds production. Two experiments were conducted, with the first involved with the study of the seedlings and the second with plants in the field. The work was carried out at Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná – Câmpus Dois Vizinhos, Paraná State - Brazil. The experimental design was a completely randomized and a block design with four treatments and four replications of 10 seedlings or two plants per plot, according to nursery or orchard conditions, respectively. The treatments were base according to the light intensity. The treatments used were, 1 - full sun, similar the orchard condition, with 0% shading; 2 - side cover with shade cloth and top with transparent plastic, representing a gap forest condition; 3 - side and top cover with shade cloth, representing stage where the forest canopy is closing, focusing only indirect sunlight; 4 - side and top cover with shade cloth, simulating a closed canopy condition, with PPD (photon flux density) of 10% (90% shading); 5 - side and top cover with shade cloth, simulating a more open canopy condition with PPD 65% (35% shading). The growth and development seedling and plant characteristics were evaluated once by month, as also, during time part in the plants the secondary metabolites leaves, soil activity microbiological and the fresh and dry matter root and shoot and, root length from seedlings. For the growth and development of jabuticaba Açú Paulista seedling recommend to use of side cover with shade cloth and top with transparent plastic, representing a gap forest condition. In orchard, for the growth and development of plants jabuticaba Híbrida tree it was recommended the use of side and top cover with shade cloth of some type. For production of secondary metabolites of leaves, the plant must to be full sunlight condition orchard.

This text thematizes the performance of the Brazilian-American Commission of Industrial Education (CBAI) since its installation at Rio de Janeiro, on 1947, and extinction in Curitiba, on 1963. The general goal consists in identifying if are there any relation between Gramsci’s Americanism and Fordism elements and the CBAI’s performance, by means of a speech analysis from de Newsletter of CBAI and other documental sources related to the organizations performance. The specifics objectives intend to contextualize the political and economic situation that Brazil was going through before and concomitant to CBAI’s performance, emphasizing some aspects of the Cold War feature that contributed to narrow the relations between United States and other countries of Latin America, especially Brazil. On the following, it intends to present the main aspects of Gramsci’s thought and the Americanism and fordism and Passive Revolution as key categories for a better understanding of the presence of an Americanization project on Brazilian’s professional education. As so, the object of this study are the Newsletters of CBAI. Finally, the speech’s analisys of the Newsletter was the methodology used to demonstrate CBAI as an Americanism diffuser. The documental research and sources served as groundwork, especially the Newsletters, were found at Departamento de Documentação Histórica of Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (DEDHIS) and at Biblioteca de Educação of Universidade de São Paulo (FEUSP). The theoretical foundation has as a workline for the conception of the categories the studies of Gramsci about the of work (and the Newsletters itself), and the speech’s analysis of main concepts from Bakhtin, Voloshinov’s and the Circle of studies about language philosophy. At last, this paperwork concludes that the attempt to disseminate an amerizanization project in Brazil obtneined significant results on the industrialization of the country according to the fordism’s racionalization standarts, nevertheless, this research considers that such a project corroborates the comprehension about the consolidation of a Passive Revolution’s project.

O texto procura elucidar as soluções e propostas contidas na PEC nº 241/2016 enviada ao Congresso Nacional pelo Poder Executivo visando instituir o Novo Regime Fiscal. Avalia os impactos da aprovação da PEC em tela sobre cada um dos principais grupos que compõem as despesas primárias do Governo, quais sejam: despesas previdenciárias, despesas com pessoal, despesas com saúde, despesas com educação, despesas com benefícios e programas sociais e despesas com investimentos

O objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar o crescimento e a produção de Anthurium andraeanum 'Apalai' submetido a diferentes intensidades de desfolha no Vale do Ribeira, SP. Foram utilizadas mudas micropropagadas dessa espécie, as quais foram plantadas em canteiros construídos sob telado coberto com tela de náilon preta, com malha que proporciona 70% de sombreamento, no espaçamento 0,40x0,40m. O experimento foi conduzido em delineamento de blocos casualizados em parcelas subdivididas, com dezesseis repetições. O efeito da desfolha foi avaliado na parcela e o efeito do tempo após a desfolha na subparcela. As diferentes intensidades de desfolha consistiram em plantas com três, quatro e cinco folhas e plantas sem desfolha, e o tempo após a desfolha, as avaliações realizadas em 2006 e 2007. Ocorreu um aumento na área das folhas individuais em plantas mantidas com quatro e cinco folhas, proporcional à intensidade de desfolha, que pode ser relacionado a uma tentativa de compensação da área foliar perdida. A desfolha com a manutenção de três, quatro ou cinco folhas em plantas de antúrio 'Apalai' é prejudicial para o seu crescimento e produção.

Cuando en 1898 el abogado italiano Secondo Pia realiza la fotografía del Manto de Turín, vuelve a poner sobre la mesa una discusión que desde la perspectiva del proyecto moderno quería darse por superada: la utilización de la imagen en el plano del fetiche mágico. Los creyentes, que además poco se interesaron por las disquisiciones científicas, encontraron en la foto de la tela una vinculación directa con el manto original y, por esa vía, con el Cristo que contuvo. De pronto la distancia aurática que Benjamín asociaba a la obra de arte y al objeto de adoración se convertía en cercanía a través de una mediación que resultaba demasiado sugestiva. Una reacción en la cual la utilización de un dispositivo fotográfico resultó definitiva. Pero, ¿por qué se produjo tal vinculación ¿Cuáles son las características de la imagen fotográfica que permiten relacionarla con la magia En el saber popular, la fotografía tiene a su haber una serie de potencialidades maravillosas: que puede ser usada en conjuros mágicos, que es capaz de robarse el alma con tan sólo accionar el clic Afirmaciones todas que caben en el capítulo de las mitologías de la técnica y que perviven en el mundo contemporáneo, aun en los ámbitos más militantes del pensamiento positivo. El presente libro, que ha sido resultado de una exhaustiva investigación, propone una tesis: que en un efecto el dispositivo fotográfico reúne características que le permiten funcionar como herramienta del pensamiento mágico. Un recorrido en el que se abordarán los procesos históricos, técnicos, mediáticos y conceptuales en los que la fotografía ha tenido aplicación desde su invención hasta nuestros días.

Nickel-based catalysts supported on alumina have been widely used in various reactions to obtain synthesis gas or hydrogen. Usually, higher conversion levels are obtained by these catalysts, however, the deactivation by coke formation and sintering of metal particles are still problems to be solved. Several approaches have been employed in order to minimize these problems, among which stands out in recent years the use of additives such as oxides of alkali metals and rare earths. Similarly, the use of methodologies for the synthesis faster, easier, applicable on an industrial scale and to allow control of the microstructural characteristics of these catalysts, can together provide the solution to this problem. In this work, oxides with spinel type structure AB2O4, where A represents divalent cation and B represents trivalent cations are an important class of ceramic materials investigated worldwide in different fields of applications. The nickel cobaltite (NiCo2O4) was oxides of spinel type which has attracted considerable interest due to its applicability in several areas, such as chemical sensors, flat panel displays, optical limiters, electrode materials, pigments, electrocatalysis, electronic ceramics, among others. The catalyst precursor NiCo2O4 was prepared by a new chemical synthesis route using gelatine as directing agent. The polymer resin obtained was calcined at 350°C. The samples were calcined at different temperatures (550, 750 and 950°C) and characterized by X ray diffraction, measurements of specific surface area, temperature programmed reduction and scanning electron microscopy. The materials heat treated at 550 and 750°C were tested in the partial oxidation of methane. The set of techniques revealed, for solid preparations, the presence of the phase of spinel-type structure with the NiCo2O4 NixCo1-xO solid solution. This solid solution was identified by Rietveld refinement at all temperatures of heat treatment. The catalyst precursors calcined at 550 and 750°C showed conversion levels around 25 and 75%, respectively. The reason H2/CO was around 2 to the precursor treated at 750°C, proposed reason for the reaction of partial oxidation of methane, one can conclude that this material can be shown to produce synthesis gas suitable for use in the synthesis Fischer-Tropsch process

The ionic plasma nitriding is one of the most important plasma assisted treatment technique for surface modification, but it presents some inherent problems mainly in nitriding pieces with complex geometries. In the last four years has appeared a plasma nitriding technique, named ASPN (Active Screen Plasma Nitriding) in which the samples and the workload are surrounded by a metal screen on which the cathodic potential is applied. This new technique makes possible to obtain a perfect uniform nitrided layer apart from the shape of the samples. The present work is based on the development of a new nitriding plasma technique named CCPN (Cathodic Cage Plasma Nitriding) Patent PI 0603213-3 derived from ASPN, but utilizes the hollow cathode effect to increase the nitriding process efficiency. That technique has shown great improvement on the treatment of several types of steels under different process conditions, producing thicker and harder layers when compared with both, ASPN and ionic plasma nitriding, besides eliminating problems associated with the later technique. The best obtained results are due to the hollow cathode effect on the cage holes. Moreover, characteristic problems of ionic plasma nitriding are eliminated due to the fact that the luminescent discharge acts on the cage wall instead of on the samples surface, which remains under a floating potential. In this work the enhancement of the cathodic cage nitriding layers proprieties, under several conditions for some types of steels was investigated, besides the mechanism for nitrides deposition on glass substrate, concluding that the CCPN is both a diffusion and a deposition process at the same time

Considerando que el dolor persistente de origen no odontogénico, puede presentarse después de la terapia endodóntica, es importante que el odontólogo clínico lo conozca para evitar errores en el diagnóstico y procedimientos dentales ineficaces, innecesarios e irreversibles, los cuales no van a satisfacer al paciente y pondrían en tela de duda la pericia del clínico para resolver la queja principal del paciente. Esto tiene relevancia clínica ya que tanto médicos como odontólogos deben estar familiarizados con los signos de dolor provenientes de fuentes no odontogénicas.

Se proponen actividades utilizando el geoespacio, el cual es un material que el alumno manipulará para aprender en forma práctica, y así se consolidará el aprendizaje de las matemáticas, en especial de la geometría. Por medio de dibujos en isométrico se hará la representación plana de los sólidos que se formen en el geoespacio. Pescarini y Puig Adam han presentado una modificación del geoplano para hacer posible el estudio del espacio de tres dimensiones; lo han llamado geoespacio y sus posibilidades son sensiblemente menores. Consta de tres paredes de tela metálica fina formando un triedro. Con trozos de alambre se materializan las figuras del espacio, particularmente las poliédricas. En este trabajo se presenta al geoespacio como una estructura cúbica que lleva un sistema de argollas dispuestas en las aristas, donde podrán colocarse ligas de colores para formar sólidos y presentar diversas situaciones didácticas.
