This dissertation aims at showing the importance of the Nietzsche s and Spinoza s philosophy in Deleuze thought, about body, force, and potency concepts. The search starts from Deleuze texts around two authors of his inspiration, reaching understand in the plan of immanence of the relationship between concepts and the way life as ethics and political affirmation. The first goal is the concept of rhizome; propose by Deleuze in what manner to walk the ways traced by philosophers and at the same time to create self ways. The second chapter examines the body in Nietzsche as force s relations. Find to show the genesis of the force in its determination as relative quantity strong or weak, and as absolute quality active or reactive; and for other side the genesis of the force from two poles of the will to power affirmation or negation, examining the consequences for life and thought. In the third chapter explained the definitions of body in Spinoza. The body, in Spinoza, defines itself complex relation of movement and repose, velocity and slowness and by it s to affect and be affecter s power. Find to show understanding the mediums for to amplify the power of to exist or the potency of to act, in what manner ethics of to live. The fourth chapter makes one parallel between the war and the thought in the constitution of socials body and collectives agenciamientos, for understand in the fifth chapter the body as war s machine of the thought, from the relationship between nomad way life and war s machine showed in Tractate of Nomadologia. On a first-name basis: Englishization and naming in Flanders

Following and contributing to the ongoing shift from more structuralist, system-oriented to more pragmatic, socio-cultural oriented anglicism research, this paper verifies to what extent the global spread of English affects naming patterns in Flanders. To this end, a diachronic database of first names is constructed, containing the top 75 most popular boy and girl names from 2005 until 2014. In a first step, the etymological background of these names is documented and the evolution in popularity of the English names in the database is tracked. Results reveal no notable surge in the preference for English names. This paper complements these database-driven results with an experimental study, aiming to show how associations through referents are in this case more telling than associations through phonological form (here based on etymology). Focusing on the socio-cultural background of first names in general and of Anglo-American pop culture in particular, the second part of the study specifically reports on results from a survey where participants are asked to name the first three celebrities that leap to mind when hearing a certain first name (e.g. Lana, triggering the response Del Rey). Very clear associations are found between certain first names and specific celebrities from Anglo-American pop culture. Linking back to marketing research and the social turn in onomastics, we will discuss how these celebrities might function as referees, and how social stereotypes surrounding these referees are metonymically attached to their first names. Similar to the country-of-origin-effect in marketing, these metonymical links could very well be the reason why parents select specific “celebrity names”. Although further attitudinal research is needed, this paper supports the importance of including socio-cultural parameters when conducting onomastic research.

Entre a imagem e o signo : notas sobre Nietzsche, a linguagem e a tradição dialética

Persigo aqui o objetivo de contribuir à recuperação da interlocução entre Nietzsche e a tradição dialética. A despeito da ideia de registros teóricos incompatíveis, procuro sublinhar as preocupações comuns e o possível benefício recíproco nessa interlocução. A diretriz fundamental consiste na visualização da capacidade de a linguagem se tensionar entre a mediação simbólica das formas de vida e a expressividade das vivências singularizadas. Primeiramente, proponho uma interpretação das reflexões de Nietzsche sobre a linguagem no sentido de detectar aí uma instigante polarização entre conceito e intuição (1). Em seguida, mostro como Adorno desenvolve esse tema no sentido de uma concepção dialética de linguagem (2). Finalmente, apoiando-me em Hegel e Gadamer, gostaria de indicar como a tradição dialética logra responder ao desafio nietzschiano do inacabamento do sentido poético (3). ______________________________________________________________________________ RESUMEM

El conocimiento y sus horizontes : análisis y comparación del papel de la perspectiva entre las gnoseologías de Kant, Nietzsche, Husserl y Ortega y Gasset

Resumen: En este artículo se abordan los planteos gnoseológicos básicos de Kant, Nietzsche, Husserl y Ortega con el fin de establecer un paralelismo entre ellos. El elemento común que se busca es la noción de perspectiva como límite de nuestro conocimiento y a la vez como puerta de entrada y salida entre el Yo y el mundo. En esa búsqueda se tendrá especialmente en cuenta la respuesta orteguiana a la dicotomía racionalismo-relativismo, acaso ya intuida por los otros tres autores.
