Fuentes para la historia de las cooperativas agrarias en España: los archivos empresariales

Desde que en los años 70 del siglo XX la cuestión de los archivos de empresa comenzara a tomar forma en España, varios han sido las empresas que han organizado su documentación y diversos los estudios que han tratado este tema. Aunque de manera mucho más tardía que otros países que presentan una muy superior tradición en este aspecto, tales como Alemania, Inglaterra, Francia, Italia o los Estados Unidos. En España la organización de estos archivos empresariales como centros de investigación histórica aún es escasa, y si analizamos los casos existentes comprobaremos que es una práctica que se circunscribe únicamente a empresas de gran tamaño localizadas en sectores determinados, tales como el público, bancario, minero-metalúrgico, energético, ferroviario, naval, algo del sector alimentario (tabacos, bodegas vinícolas jerezanas), etc.

A Brief Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Alcohol Intervention Programme is an Effective Secondary Prevention Approach for New Employees entering an Irish Workforce: A Pilot

The prevalence of unhealthy drinking at all levels in Irish society poses serious issues in terms of the consequence to individuals concerned, as well as to society as a whole. The workplace offers a useful setting for early identification and intervention with new employees who may have pre-existing alcohol use disorder issues. This pilot study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness within the workplace of a brief Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) intervention in reducing participants binge and risky drinking behaviours. Twenty-six Irish Naval recruits volunteered to participate in this randomised controlled trial. The intervention was conducted over four consecutive one and a half hour weekly sessions. Participants completed four principle outcome measures at intake, termination of the intervention and at the two-month follow-up assessment. The Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (Babor, Higginis-Biddle, Saunders & Monterio, 2001) was used to measures participants’ consumption levels and frequency of binge or risky drinking. A Readiness Ruler (Miller, Zweben, Diclemente, & Rychtarik, 1992) was used to measure participants’ readiness to change drinking, while the Drinking Expectancy Questionnaire (Young & Oei, 1996) was used to measure participants’ beliefs pertaining to alcohol, and their ability to refuse alcohol in high-risk social surroundings. There were preliminary data in support of the intervention. There were interaction effects that approached statistical significance for both a reduction in participants’ binge drinking (p =. 064) and an increase in participants’ ability to refuse alcohol in high-risk social settings (p = .059). The UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot Tox-Prot program: A central hub of integrated venom protein data.

Animal toxins are of interest to a wide range of scientists, due to their numerous applications in pharmacology, neurology, hematology, medicine, and drug research. This, and to a lesser extent the development of new performing tools in transcriptomics and proteomics, has led to an increase in toxin discovery. In this context, providing publicly available data on animal toxins has become essential. The UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot Tox-Prot program (http://www.uniprot.org/program/Toxins) plays a crucial role by providing such an access to venom protein sequences and functions from all venomous species. This program has up to now curated more than 5000 venom proteins to the high-quality standards of UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot (release 2012_02). Proteins targeted by these toxins are also available in the knowledgebase. This paper describes in details the type of information provided by UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot for toxins, as well as the structured format of the knowledgebase.

L'objectiu d'aquest Treball Final de Carrera consisteix en la realització del desenvolupament d'un Gestor d'Administració de Sistemes (GAS). El desenvolupament d'aquest gestor tindrà ús real i vindrà a cobrir una necessitat del departament de Sistemas Informàtic de l'Hospital Americà de la Base Naval de Trencada on treball com a administradora de sistemes.
