Avaliaram-se produtos minimamente processados de mangas 'Tommy Atkins' amadurecidas naturalmente ou com etileno. Os frutos amadurecidos com aplicação de etileno foram colhidos no estádio meio-maturo (de vez) e tratados com etileno (1g.L-1) e mantidos em câmaras, por 12 horas, a 23-25ºC e 85-90% UR. Os frutos foram selecionados, lavados com detergente, sanitizados (200mg.L-1 de cloro) e armazenados por 12 horas, a 10ºC. Após este período, foram processados sob condições assépticas, a 12ºC, acondicionados em embalagem PET ou bandeja de poliestireno expandido recoberta por filme de PVC e armazenados a 3ºC. Foram avaliados, a cada 3 dias, a resistência e a coloração da polpa, os teores de ácido ascórbico, sólidos solúveis (SS), acidez titulável (AT), carboidratos solúveis, redutores e amido, relação SS/AT, pH e atividade da peroxidase. Durante o período de armazenamento, os pedaços de manga tornaram-se mais firmes e mantiveram-se amarelos, porém mais escurecidos, o que foi indicado por redução na luminosidade. Os teores de ácido ascórbico nos pedaços das mangas amadurecidas com etileno apresentaram-se menores que os das amadurecidas naturalmente. A acidez apresentou tendência de redução durante o armazenamento, com as amadurecidas com etileno apresentando os maiores valores e os menores pH. Os produtos de mangas amadurecidas com etileno apresentaram os maiores valores de SS, mas menor relação SS/AT, indicando gosto mais azedo. Os teores de carboidratos solúveis e de amido não apresentaram variação com tendência definida, mas os de carboidratos redutores apresentaram tendência de acréscimo, e a atividade da peroxidase, de decréscimo durante o armazenamento. Os produtos de mangas amadurecidas naturalmente foram superiores aos amadurecidos com etileno, mantendo boa qualidade e aparência adequada para a comercialização até o 13º dia, enquanto os das amadurecidas com etileno, por 11 dias.

Avaliou-se o efeito do tratamento térmico (40ºC por 24 horas) e de diferentes temperaturas de armazenamento (8ºC, 14ºC e 25ºC, a 90%UR), na conservação pós-colheita de abacaxis 'Pérola', colhidos no ponto de maturação pintado. As avaliações foram realizadas no início (0 dia), visando à caracterização inicial dos frutos, e após 1; 5; 9; 13 e 17 dias, quando os mantidos sob refrigeração foram transferidos para condição ambiente (25ºC, 75-80% UR), e avaliados aos 21; 25 e 29 dias. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o inteiramente casualizado, em esquema fatorial (2x3x9), tendo-se os frutos tratados termicamente ou não, o armazenamento a 25ºC, 14ºC e 8ºC e nove épocas de avaliação. Os frutos foram avaliados quanto à ocorrência de podridões e de escurecimento interno, aparência e coloração da polpa, teores de sólidos solúveis (SS), acidez titulável (AT), açúcares solúveis totais e redutores e ácido ascórbico, além da relação SS/AT. Os resultados indicam que a coloração da polpa se tornou mais amarela durante o período refrigerado, enquanto os valores da AT aumentaram. Neste período, a relação SS/AT reduziu-se, mas aumentou com a transferência dos frutos para o ambiente, enquanto os teores de açúcares solúveis totais e redutores diminuíram, e estabilizaram-se. Os teores de ácido ascórbico mantiveram-se sem diferenças significativas, mas com tendência de aumento. Os frutos mantidos sob refrigeração apresentaram sintomas de injúria pelo frio, que apareceram em 8 dias, após serem levados ao ambiente, e com maior intensidade nos tratados termicamente.

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a influência de cobertura de quitosana na pós-colheita de mangas 'Tommy Atkins', colhidas de vez e armazenadas a 23 ºC (65% UR). As mangas foram adquiridas na CEAGESP de Ribeirão Preto-SP, e transportadas ao Laboratório de Tecnologia de Produtos Agrícolas da UNESP de Jaboticabal. Após a seleção, os frutos foram higienizados em solução de dicloro s. triazinatriona sódica di-hidratada (Sumaveg®) a 200 mg 100g-1 de cloro livre por 10 minutos, secadas, imersas nas soluções a 0%; 1,0%; 1,5% e 2,0% de quitosana por 1 minuto, secadas sob ventilação, acondicionadas em bandejas e armazenadas a 23±2 °C e 65±5% UR, por 9 dias. Foram utilizados três repetições com dois frutos cada. Avaliaram-se, a cada três dias, a perda de massa fresca, a cor, a firmeza, os teores de ácido ascórbico, de sólidos solúveis, de acidez titulável e sólidos solúveis / acidez titulável. O recobrimento com quitosana retarda o amadurecimento de mangas 'Tommy Atkins' de vez, durante nove dias de armazenamento a 23 ºC, sendo que a concentração de 1,5% propicia melhor manutenção da cor da polpa, dos teores de sólidos solúveis, de acidez titulável, de ácido ascórbico, dos valores de SS/AT e de firmeza.

This dissertation of Master of Science investigates the influence of the organization dimensions in the development of the management of the knowledge in the administrative activities developed by the tourist sector of the city of the Natal/RN. The adopted methodology was a descriptive research and exploration, using the technique of analysis of Cluster and Box Multiple Plot. The objective of if using descriptive and exploration analysis of the absolute values and the gotten percentages, are to present, on the basis of the studied dimensions, the degree of importance and the agreement related to the organization knowledge in the perception of the interviewed ones. The used instrument of research was a composed questionnaire for two parts: study of the management of the knowledge and profiles of the companies and interviewed. This questionnaire aims at the study of the organization environment, evidencing if the same it propitiates one administrative politics directed for the creation, storage and dissemination of the organization knowledge. Of this form, the general result presented a relationship of the content seen in the bibliography with the activities developed in the hotels, demonstrating that the management of the organization knowledge is of great importance for the development of this activity

Objetivou-se avaliar o consumo de nutrientes e o desempenho de novilhas Nelore alimentadas com dietas contendo cana-de-açúcar in natura (CN) ou hidrolisada (CH) com 0,5% de Ca(OH)2 armazenada por 24, 48 e 72 horas. Foram utilizadas 24 novilhas com nove meses de idade e 119,6±8,1kg de peso corporal inicial. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o inteiramente casualisado com quatro tratamentos e seis repetições. O consumo de matéria seca foi reduzido em 29% pela adição de Ca(OH)2, não sendo alterado pelo período de armazenamento da CH. O consumo de cálcio foi incrementado (P<0,05) pela utilização de CH nas dietas, mantendo níveis de ingestão aceitáveis. Novilhas alimentadas com CH armazenada por 24, 48 e 72 horas apresentaram, respectivamente, ganhos de peso 41, 30 e 35% inferior (P<0,05) àquelas alimentadas com CN. O tratamento da cana-de-açúcar com Ca(OH)2 não é recomendado para alimentação de novilhas Nelore, em virtude de limitar a ingestão e reduzir o ganho de peso.

One of the best examples of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) evolutions is on the high capability of storing and processing data into smaller devices, creating a new business condition, the mobility . This mobility in a deeper analysis proposes a business remodeling in many different areas (business segmentations), through the Internet anywhere at any time, allowing managers and researchers to think again their actual models that work nowadays in companies and public institutions, modifying the way internal and external clients can be attended. This thesis analyzes issues on mobile business adoption, technological evolutions and the impacts caused by this new reality the access to information anywhere at any time . This research is exploratory and shows a compilation of similar papers and thesis describing how was conducted the survey within 50 companies in the states of Rio Grande do Norte, Pernambuco and Ceará. The statistics analysis showed the different level of mobile technology usage from simple voice communications to wide band data transmission. The analysis pointed that canonic correlation was the most effective type of analysis to describe the relations among all groups of variables showing which of them are relevant, or not, for mobile technology adoption

The pursuit of competitive advantage is lobbying organizations to strategically plan the use of their material, human, technological and financial resources, so that it s possible to add value to the product, even when it is considered a commodity. The scenario for this planning should not be limited to the company in question, but cover an entire supply chain, which is composed of several organizations which have common goals of growth and sustainability of the market. They should form trade links, integrating the chains of individual values, in a perspective of value system. In this supply chain there is a flow of services, payments and information, as products well as. The training of these links can be supported by the adoption of a set of information technology, here called solutions business-to-business (B2B), which will be responsible for the production, storage and distribution of relevant information to business transactions between the companies involved. On this view, this thesis aims to describe the B2B solutions adopted in the downstream segment of the supply chain of a distributor of fuel and the nature of these technologies as well as their impact on the creation of value for business and optimization of the relationship between companies. This is a case study on a national distributor of fuels, from a model of research produced under the influence of theories of integrated logistics system and value of Michael Porter. The analyses came to the conclusion that information technology is perceived as an essential tool to the operation of all activities carried out by the company. Among them, at was also brought the key activities of integrated logistics: administration of applications, inventory management, management transport and customer services, which were highlighted in this study. It was also noticed that even these activities are, in principle, purely operational; they all had in the adoption of strategies for leadership in cost or differentiation, supported by B2B solutions identified, making it more conducive to business and direct customer, the clinic reseller of fuel, to obtain value and benefits of this market segment as competitive

The progresses of the Internet and telecommunications have been changing the concepts of Information Technology IT, especially with regard to outsourcing services, where organizations seek cost-cutting and a better focus on the business. Along with the development of that outsourcing, a new model named Cloud Computing (CC) evolved. It proposes to migrate to the Internet both data processing and information storing. Among the key points of Cloud Computing are included cost-cutting, benefits, risks and the IT paradigms changes. Nonetheless, the adoption of that model brings forth some difficulties to decision-making, by IT managers, mainly with regard to which solutions may go to the cloud, and which service providers are more appropriate to the Organization s reality. The research has as its overall aim to apply the AHP Method (Analytic Hierarchic Process) to decision-making in Cloud Computing. There to, the utilized methodology was the exploratory kind and a study of case applied to a nationwide organization (Federation of Industries of RN). The data collection was performed through two structured questionnaires answered electronically by IT technicians, and the company s Board of Directors. The analysis of the data was carried out in a qualitative and comparative way, and we utilized the software to AHP method called Web-Hipre. The results we obtained found the importance of applying the AHP method in decision-making towards the adoption of Cloud Computing, mainly because on the occasion the research was carried out the studied company already showed interest and necessity in adopting CC, considering the internal problems with infrastructure and availability of information that the company faces nowadays. The organization sought to adopt CC, however, it had doubt regarding the cloud model and which service provider would better meet their real necessities. The application of the AHP, then, worked as a guiding tool to the choice of the best alternative, which points out the Hybrid Cloud as the ideal choice to start off in Cloud Computing. Considering the following aspects: the layer of Infrastructure as a Service IaaS (Processing and Storage) must stay partly on the Public Cloud and partly in the Private Cloud; the layer of Platform as a Service PaaS (Software Developing and Testing) had preference for the Private Cloud, and the layer of Software as a Service - SaaS (Emails/Applications) divided into emails to the Public Cloud and applications to the Private Cloud. The jangadeiros in the work activity are exposed to diverse and constant variability, which are extremely important to know in order to understand this activity and the risks they are exposed. The current study aims to analyze the work activity raftsmen of Ponta Negra beach in Natal, focusing on handling and quality of the fish sold by them to propose through the social construction recommendations for improving its product. To achieve this purpose was used a methodology inspired by the ergonomic work analysis using techniques observational and interactional. He was also made an assessment of fish sold by jangadeiros Ponta Negra, this evaluation was a sensory evaluation using the method "Torry Research" adapted by Vieira (2004) in order to assess the level of quality fish. In general it was observed that the fish originated from the fishing that rafts in Ponta Negra, have a good degree of freshness. But it was found that some ways of handling and storage can be improved

This work introduces a new method for environment mapping with three-dimensional information from visual information for robotic accurate navigation. Many approaches of 3D mapping using occupancy grid typically requires high computacional effort to both build and store the map. We introduce an 2.5-D occupancy-elevation grid mapping, which is a discrete mapping approach, where each cell stores the occupancy probability, the height of the terrain at current place in the environment and the variance of this height. This 2.5-dimensional representation allows that a mobile robot to know whether a place in the environment is occupied by an obstacle and the height of this obstacle, thus, it can decide if is possible to traverse the obstacle. Sensorial informations necessary to construct the map is provided by a stereo vision system, which has been modeled with a robust probabilistic approach, considering the noise present in the stereo processing. The resulting maps favors the execution of tasks like decision making in the autonomous navigation, exploration, localization and path planning. Experiments carried out with a real mobile robots demonstrates that this proposed approach yields useful maps for robot autonomous navigation

Objetivou-se estudar o efeito do tratamento alcalino da cana-de-açúcar com cal virgem ou cal hidratada sobre a composição bromatológica e a digestibilidade in vitro da matéria seca, da fibra em detergente neutro e da fibra em detergente ácido. Utilizou-se um delineamento inteiramente casualizado em esquema fatorial 3 × 3, composto de três formas de processamento da cana (in natura; cana hidrolisada com 0,5% de cal virgem; e cana hidrolisada com 0,5% de cal hidratada) e três tempos de armazenamento (12, 36 e 60 horas). As formas de processamento influenciaram os teores de matéria orgânica, matéria mineral, carboidratos totais e hemicelulose, assim como os teores de fibra em detergente neutro e nutrientes digestíveis totais. Os tempos de armazenamento influenciaram os teores de proteína bruta, matéria orgânica, carboidratos totais e hemicelulose. Entre os minerais, somente o teor de cálcio teve aumento com a inclusão de ambos os tipos de cal em relação à cana-de-açúcar, que não sofreu o processo de hidrólise. Os coeficientes de digestibilidade da matéria seca e da fibra em detergente neutro aumentaram com a hidrólise da cana em comparação à cana in natura. A hidrólise com cal hidratada ou com cal virgem mantém o valor nutricional da cana-de-açúcar, permitindo que possa ser utilizada depois de até 60 horas de armazenamento.
