Galois extension of CP-Graded ring extensions

In this paper, we investigate galois theory of CP-graded ring extensions. In particular, we generalize some galois results given in [1, 2] and, without restriction to nor graded fields nor torsion free of the grade groups, we show that some results of graded field extensions given in [3] hold.

Valuations, intersections et fonctions de Belyi

We present in this article several possibilities to approach the height of an algebraic curve defined over a number field : as an intersection number via the Arakelov theory, as a limit point of the heights of its algebraic points and, finally, using the minimal degree of Belyi functions.

Petits points et conjecture de Bogomolov

This paper is devoted to the statement known as the Bogomolov conjecture on small points. We present the outline of Zhang’s proof of the generalized version of the conjecture. An explicit bound for the height of a non-torsion variety of an abelian variety is obtained in the frame of Arakelov theory. Some further developments are mentioned.

La teoria de la recepció i de l’experiència estètica en Hans-Robert Jauss

Es presenta críticament l’obra de Hans-Robert Jauss, fent incís en la seva teoria de l’experiència estètica. El capítol 1 descriu el context de l’obra d’aquest esteta i hermeneuta alemany en tres àmbits: a) l’ històricointel•lectual, que s’emmarca dintre la teoria literària de la recepció o Escola de Constança; b) l’evolució en el temps teòrica de l’obra, i c) la seva pretesa relació amb la postmodernitat. El capítol 2 relaciona les aportacions teòriques de Jauss amb el seu antecedent filosòfic més important: l’hermenèutica de Gadamer. El tercer capítol presenta la teoria de l’experiència estètica de Jauss, deixada al marge pel nostre àmbit acadèmic, malgrat el seu interès, i en fa una valoració crítica. Finalment, un Annex sobre la teoria estètica kantiana i una conclusió indiquen la continuació d’aquesta investigació.

Minimal lenght elements of Thompson's groups F(p)

We describe a method for determining the minimal length of elements in the generalized Thompson's groups F(p). We compute the length of an element by constructing a tree pair diagram for the element, classifying the nodes of the tree and summing associated weights from the pairs of node classifications. We use this method to effectively find minimal length representatives of an element.
