The process of knowledge construction is associated with physical or mechanical view of the phenomenon. In mechanical engineering courses should supplement their courses with physical or virtual learning devices to aid visualization of these phenomena. For the purpose of improving the mechanical engineering department laboratory practice was developed, through a project, a didactic device a trellis. Hibridismo cultural: o imaginário europeu na construção da sexualidade feminina do primeiro século de colonização brasileira

The aim of this study is to investigate and analyze the conceptions of sexuality and female sexual behavior and conduct, formed from the merger of information and securities purchased under the eyes, rules and guidelines established relations with the Holy Office during his visit to Inquisitorial Brazil in the late sixteenth century. It is a survey of historical methodology in which we used as the exploratory research and literature. In the sixteenth century the Church increases the pressure to change the sexual mores that were free in the Middle Ages, a fact which influences the rules and regulations that are adopted by the Holy Office regarding the person's sex life. The first structure was based on Brazilian sexual alliance between Indians and settlers, which led to sugar, by the Portuguese, the customs of the land, which included sexual practices free since the Indians were out of Christian influence. Supported by the absence of white women, the settlers took them wives of the earth, usually more than one, creating conflict with the Jesuits who condemned Indian polygamy. In this context, in 1591, landed on Brazilian soil Heitor Furtado de Mendonca, and with it, the First Visitation of the Holy Office to investigate, arguing, exploring feelings and behaviors, to discover the true facts, finally, to demonstrate the errors Faith and punish them with the rigor of ecclesiastical law. Diagnosis and planning stages are critical to the success of orthodontic treatment, in which the orthodontist should have many elements that contribute to the most appropriate decision-making. The orthodontic set-up is an important resource in the planning of corrective orthodontics therapy. It consists of the repositioning of the teeth previously removed from the study dental casts and reassembled on its remaining basis. When properly made, the set-up allows a three-dimensional preview of problems and limitations of the case, assisting in decision-making regarding tooth extractions in cases with problems of space, amount of anchorage loss extent and type of tooth movement, discrepancy of dental arch perimeter, discrepancy of inter-arch tooth volume, among others, indicating the best option for treatment. This paper outlines the most important steps for its confection, an evaluation system and its application in the preparation of orthodontic treatment planning.

Imageologia na odontologia e aspectos legais

The technology, through the advent of new equipments that allow imaging exams, has helped very much in the diagnosis and prognosis of diseases in Dentistry. The use of informatics, in general, in the manufacture of clinical reports is increasingly present in the dental offices. The legal validity of these systems is questioned, and is matter of discussion. This work makes considerations about Imageology or Diagnostic by image, a new area that is appearing on Dentistry. Among other exams, there are: digital radiography, tomography, computed tomography, artomography, magnetic resonance, computed cefalometry and ultra-sonography. It permits the professional to obtain a better diagnostic, and to the patient, the visualization of his problem and treatment. A survey on the possibilities of using informatics in Dentistry, particularly in Radiology, was also carried out, as well as the legal aspects, which are in accordance with the Law 8.935/94, what guarantees its practicability. Digital Certification is a mechanism that provides legal validity to documents and, as such, to radiographic images and others. It is a procedure that the dentist should take to ensure that he/she has safeguarded the judicial proofs that may be necessary in an eventual demand.

O Congresso Nacional e a política de defesa do Brasil

This research aims to analyze the behavior of the central legislature in five key moments in the institutionalization of defense policy in Brazil: (i) the approval of the first version of the National Defense Policy, (ii) the creation of the Ministry of Defence (iii) the approval of the second version of the National Defense Policy, (iv) the approval of the National Defense Strategy, and (v) the approval of the Supplementary Law No. 136 of 2010 which, among other things, provides for the creation of the Book white National Defense. This process covers the mandates of the government of Fernando Henrique Cardoso and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (1995-2010). Besides the description of each of the above moments, we discuss the performance of the country on the agenda of regional and international security and are raised the resources available to Congress in order to strengthen their participation in the formulation of defense policy. The approval processes for each of the policies and laws are related to provide a view of the Legislative Power's capacity or not to change matters that in general have been proposed by the Executive Power. Finally, the study identifies how the progress in the participation of the Legislative Power in matters of defense policy was shy, but important because it signifies the increase of representation in popular theme

A explosão do consumo de Ritalina

A sociedade atual vive desde a década de 50 uma “revolução psicofarmacológica”, em que os avanços tecnológicos da psiquiatria e da neurologia possibilitam a criação de dispositivos que conseguem ter uma melhor visualização do funcionamento físico-químico do cérebro, onde o paradigma de tratamento de sofrimento psíquico passou a ser baseado na utilização de psicotrópicos. Dessa forma, a medicina buscou tratar neurocientificamente comportamentos desviantes da norma social. Nesse cenário, o diagnóstico do Transtorno de Déficit de Atenção e Hiperatividade (TDAH) desponta com certa freqüência e com uma constância ainda maior o uso de Ritalina, nome comercial do metilfenidato, no tratamento do suposto transtorno, principalmente em crianças. Esse presente trabalho faz uma reflexão, a partir de uma revisão bibliográfica, a cerca do aumento do consumo de Ritalina nos últimos anos, procurando problematizar a forma indiscriminada de diagnosticar e tratar o TDAH.

Validação de aplicativo comercial visando a incorporação da realidade aumentada a um modelo de avaliação pós-ocupação

Post-Occupancy Evaluation of buildings considers user satisfaction, building pathologies and performance, as well as users interventions in the built environment. The possibility of identifying interventions regardless of the user could provide a significant gain in the efficiency of Post-Occupancy Evaluations. We foresee the application of Augmented Reality (AR) to improve the identification of renovations by overlapping the construction information model with an image of the actual building. This article validates the use of AR on existing smartphone and tablet applications. This study proposes the incorporation of AR into the planning, execution and application of Post-Occupancy Evaluation. For the planning, this study proposes the development of a new research tool. With regards to the execution, this study examined the data collection conditions on site through the visualization of overlapping models. For the application, this study proposes displaying the results through the use of RA information layers. The transparency oft he RA model was used to allow comparison between the virtual model and the real model. The development and adaptation of the virtual model and the solution developed for the experiment of the RA proposal are presented and discussed. The experiment points to shortcomings that still make the proposed technological solution unfeasible.
