We conducted a study of the quality of water distributed by Artesian Well in relation to water supply served by the public for purposes of human consumption of UNESP Campus Guaratinguetá. Two sections of the network were randomly chosen and monitored for 105 days: the stretch of the pipeline started off the Water Treatment Station of the Autonomous Service of Water, Sewage and waste in the Municipality of Guaratinguetá and ended in a point consumption of the Child Family Center, while the section B began at the output of an artesian well and finished in a point of consumption of the Department of Civil Engineering. It is the deterioration of water quality in parts A and B, through comparative analysis of Bicarbonates, Total Hardness, Total Iron, free residual chlorine, pH, Total Residual, Turbidity, Conductivity, Color, Fecal Coliforms and Total Coliforms. Among the observations that can be highlighted: the Total Hardness was found in highest concentration in the extract; for Total Iron significant variations were obtained for both parts, and reduction of this parameter in two points of consumption analyzed, not the expected increase concentration, because the contact of water along the pipe, the CRL showed significant depletion to section A, which can be related to impurities in the water, the presence of biofilm on the walls of pipes, or because this is the stretch of greater extent to be covered by water for pH, this indicated that the water is alkaline and slightly acidic stretch in section B; Turbidity was found for the higher concentration to the passage, and a considerable reduction of this parameter at point consumption due to deposition of particulate matter along the stretch, the conductivity also showed a higher concentration in the extract, as well as an increase in this parameter at the point of consumption. Construindo novas referências: a comunicação aliada à formação do público interno

This paper addresses the issue of internal communication, especially with regard to its function formative and not merely informative. The objective of the research is to analyze to what purposes the organizations use their internal communication, as well as the viewpoint of communication professionals about building character and training of these means. As exploratory research method was used with a questionnaire to communications professionals who work or have worked in the area of internal communication in organizations. The issues addressed were aimed at verifying whether the communication is commonly fostered with other goals besides informing, which the media more used and is performed in an integrated manner with other departments. It was concluded that, although the internal communication is used most often to inform and ensure a good organizational climate, communication professionals understand the necessity of its use for the formation of the internal public and try to use it for this purpose

Nuclear Medicine is a medical modality of therapy and diagnostic imaging using unsealed radioactive sources for its purposes. This routine activity promotes the transit of radioactive sources for the area of installation, beyond the transit of patients injected with radioisotope, which also contribute to raising the radiometric level of environment. As a consequence, it has exposured workers and public individuals to the ionizing radiation. There are protective mechanisms of radiation exposure, personal protective equipments, and measurement planes established in standard measurement at certain points of the environment in order to identify any increase in radiometric levels and \ or contamination, but do not cover the entire space occupied by workers and patients. To accomplish with the individual dose limits established by the National Commission of Nuclear Energy, it is interesting if there is an individualized classification for each Nuclear Medicine service. This work aimed to promote an analysis of the radiometric level distribution across the extent of the Technical Nuclear Medicine Sector of Hospital of the Botucatu Medical School, and produce a spatial map to identify locations with higher exposure rate to the ionizing radiation, can be used as a risk map to assist the Occupationally Exposed Individuals (IOE). To perform the radiometric levels checking it was used a digital Geiger-Muller detector available in the sector, due to its practicality compared to other detectors. Cenário e perspectivas para a melhoria do ensino público no Brasil: mídia, cultura e educação

Thinking about improving public education in Brazil means thinking not only on what we wish to develop, skills and abilities in individuals, but understand and clearly identify the type of citizens we are devoloping and what kind of society we want for the future. In this context it is important to note that the practice in the classroom today can not be considered without regard to education steeped in culture and, therefore, in the forms of modern communication. So if there is a crisis in education, it can not be solved only within the classroom. The challenge for school education is to show students within the classroom how they will be out of school. Quality education is a blueprint for the future, to the unknown, to a world we do not know now. In this sense, to direct the education only for the labor market is a mistake, because the market is so today, but may be another in ten or fifteen years. Precisely because we do not know what are the requirements for citizens of the future, we must focus on what is essential in the formation of our youth. Is essential then to understand the ideas, learn to discuss them, argue and learn to recognize the role of technology in social and cultural evolution of mankind.

Relações públicas e web 2.0: a manutenção do relacionamento entre artista e público pela internet

The objective of this study is a explanation about the action possibilities of the Public Relations professional as a manager of communication between the musical celebrity and his publics. For this purpose, a bibliographical research was made about Internet question like his history, the evolution of Web 2.0 and even about different kinds of virtualization, introducing with interactivity. Other researches was been made like social culture topics and even the studies of Public Relations actions in the artistic scene, acting like a manager of different publics relationships in the virtual contacts. A study case with the virtual communication tools employed in the career of Hugo e Tiago, one of the country artists in Brazil, is also in this studies. Otherwise, the study explains about the different ways of Public Relations actions, his upgrades along with the new communication tools and his new types of making relations with more and more different publics. Working with new strategies and keeping his objectives in the organization and public relationship, Public Relations brands a new vision to this type of communication professional, who becomes even more important in the actual organizations scenario

Jornalismo e meio ambiente: a contribuição dos meios de comunicação e o conceito de sustentabilidade

This article is a reflection about the contribution the social communication media can provide to the public debate about the environmental concerns. The Agenda XXI and several other UN documents call to the need to inform and educate the society. On the other hand, the Communication theories always have in common the imperative of the emitter to be understood by the recipient, in such a way that they can become change agents and not only observers. The first step is, therefore, to study the environmental question, adequately focus the theme and convey clarification. It is not what happened, for instance, with some technical concepts from the area, in particular sustainability, that came about in the 70 s to guide public policies at the service of the life preservation and specially, future and today, utilized even as a parameter of preservation of profit and advantage resulting from exploitation of nature.Key-Words Theory of Communication - Environmental Sustainability MCM

Aplicação de um método ergonômico para avaliação da permanência e atratividade em espaço público aberto: estudo de caso Parque Vitória Régia, Bauru - SP

There are several researches on evaluation of urban public space, but not all establish a relationship between the configuration of spaces with the thermal environment, ergonomics and environmental behavior of users. To understand this relationship, the aim of this paper is to present the model DEPAN (Design for Permanence and Attractiveness in niches open spaces of conviviality), based on graphical meshes, which were designed to evaluate the influence of design and ergonomics of open public spaces in the human thermal comfort and the ways in which users appropriate the space. Its applicability is demonstrated through a case study conducted in a park in the city of Bauru-SP. To perform this evaluation public space niches were chosen. They were formed by morphological elements and street furniture and defined by their spatial arrangements. The collected data were incorporated into a Geographic Information System (GIS), which allowed the overlay of meshes. The results indicate that the DEPAN model allows the verification of the spatial characteristics, thermal quality and ergonomic design generated by spaces, as well as the evaluation of the influence of these aspects in the way of using the spaces. The model allows the generation of a classification for every niche and set a value for the level of service offered.

O trabalho relata a experiência da Biblioteca Virginie Buff D’Ápice da Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária e Zootecnia da Universidade de São Paulo (FMVZ/USP) na implantação do sistema de atendimento online por chat e analisa estatística e qualitativamente os 527 atendimentos realizados entre Agosto de 2009 e Junho de 2010. Além disso, apresenta o impacto direto desse sistema na readequação do Serviço de Atendimento ao Usuário

Sistema mediático, conflictos sociales e imaginarios políticos : un análisis aplicado al conflicto que, en 2008, enfrentó al Gobierno Nacional y al sector agropecuario. Espacio Público, colectivos de identidad y mediatización

Este proyecto de investigación se propone, en términos generales, entender cómo interviene el sistema de medios sobre los modos de producción de la discursividad política en un espacio público mediatizado. Puntualmente, interesa analizar las condiciones que la televisión -concebida en su triple condición de medio, institución y dispositivo tecnológico- impone a la construcción y gestión de identidades colectivas durante el denominado "conflicto del campo" en Argentina, entre Marzo y Julio de 2008. Entendemos que la mediatización es una dimensión misma del conflicto, y no un añadido impropio. En este sentido, nos preguntamos por el vínculo entre la lógica del discurso político y la lógica del discurso mediático cuando se trata de producir o gestionar entidades del imaginario político (colectivos de identificación, meta-colectivos, meta-colectivos singulares, etc.), y por las estrategias específicas, implicadas en cada lógica, para vincular lo individual (el lugar del líder, del representante, del periodista o del ciudadano) y lo colectivo (ya que ninguno de ellos puede evitar gestionar, en su discurso, el contacto con las identidades colectivas en pugna).

La educación media superior en México ante el reto de su universalización

En México, se legisló en octubre del 2011 la universalización de la educación media superior. En este contexto el artículo aborda los retos que presenta esta decisión desde la perspectiva de la oferta educativa en sus diferentes modalidades pero también los sentidos del bachillerato para los estudiantes, el nuevo público rural y los problemas de abandono escolar. Discute el tema de la diversificación necesaria y la desigualdad que la acompaña. Caracteriza la Reforma de la Educación Media Superior y la instauración del Sistema Nacional de Bachillerato desde un enfoque administrativo de la gestión y termina apuntando aspectos que habría que fortalecer desde una perspectiva pedagógica y de los sujetos. El escrito se sustenta por un lado en documentos oficiales y en datos del Instituto Nacional para la Evaluación de la Educación y por el otro en hallazgos de la línea de investigación cualitativa "Jóvenes y bachillerato"
