Class III malocclusion is less common occlusal relationship, covering less than 5% of the population. There are various forms of treatment in Class III malocclusion. Depending on how the form is expressed Class III and age of the patient, the therapy may be orthopedic and orthodontic surgical orthodontics. The objective was to review the literature of the last 10 years about ways to compensatory treatment of Class III malocclusion. Several articles were published between 04/2003 and 04/2013 in the Pubmed database from the keyword "Class III malocclusion". However, only 19 articles that addressed the compensatory treatment of Class III were selected. Based on the selected items it was concluded that the treatment of Class III malocclusions in children before the peak of pubertal growth has better prognosis with greater effects orthopedic and orthodontic minor effects. The ideal treatment option for this condition is the Rapid maxillary expansion associated with maxillary protraction of the same. The treatment of Class III malocclusion in young people after the peak of pubertal growth is doubtful prognosis. You can opt to treat rapid maxillary expansion and maxillary protraction of the same or fixed appliance, however, orthopedic effects can be the same or smaller than the orthodontic effects, depending on the age of the patient. The work completed on the use of para-didactic texts do not address the issue of education in a state that considers the presence of students with visual impairments. Therefore, this article discusses an innovative situation, investigating if the use of para-didactic texts provide the necessary conditions for the inclusion of students with visual impairment in physics education classes. The response indicates a discreet participation of these students, however a significant one, in this application the students were motivated and interested in all of the topics discussed. This prudent participation may have occurred for reasons such as shyness and the behavior of teachers, as they tended to to be more talkative to these students.

There are some titles that, under a stealthy look, cause unrest and stir with our imagination. The text by Ana Maria Machado - Point to point - and the topic of a meeting at the University of Brasilia - READ: reading, teaching and reception - intertextualized in the act of reading are sufficiently provocative. Then, from them can emerge a form of ripping, as with a scalpel in a sheet of blank paper and drawing with the word. In this way of thinking, we may write our text, beginning by quoting an essay of Glawinski (1977), in which the author says that literary criticism has only recently become interested in reading, either as an object of reflection, or as a descriptive tool.

The participant learned the relationship between sign, figure and printed word and demonstrated reading. This procedure was effective for the participant to emit signals, verbally agreed with the community of Libras in front of textual stimuli, which is characterized as reading.

Art can be understood as a process in which knowledge is used to perform certain skills. From Latin ARS, technical means and / or ability, in Greece, there was the word art, but "Tekne", which originated from the word "technical." So art and technique are present in sculptures, paintings, shoes or ships. In this sense, designers, engineers and all professionals who use technology can be called artists. Considerations must be made regarding the level of energy embedded in the material from its production until its use, even considering recycling, sustainability and life cycle of materials. This study aimed to present the use of scanning technology and 3D virtual modeling and its application in prototyping with CNC (Computed Numerical Control) as a tool in current use cutting-edge courses in arts, design and engineering and their relations with sustainability.

After the presentation of semantic and etymological considerations given to the word environment, this paper discusses how this term was appropriated and re-signified in different historical moments. Based on previous studies, it is noted that there were two appropriations of the word environment: one whose origin was in the Natural Sciences and one that would be related to the Human Sciences. At the end is argued that such appropriations can be found today, respectively, in Ecology and Environmental Education

We can know a people through their cultural and artistic assets. One of the many aspects of Japanese culture is origami, a fusion of the verb “oru”, which means folding, with the word “kami” meaning paper. In this communication, we describe the course “Origami and Kirigami: art and culture as a recreational and educational resource”. The course aimed to present these two oriental techniques based on paper and its potential as a source of entertainment and education, at the same time seeking to introduce cultural aspects of these arts of folding and/or cutting paper. This practice is more common than we realize, and is present in our day-to-day life when we perform actions such as folding clothes and papers, and making packages, amongst others. However, few are aware of the benefits that this folding brings to the fields of Arts, Mathematics, and Science, besides its recreational characteristics. Kirigami is a mixed technique that in addition to using folds in the paper (as in origami) also uses cuts (“kiru” – meaning, “cut”). It can be performed with heavier paper than origami, and by introducing some cuts, the paper can be folded to form the desired shape. It is a simple technique, with impressive results. We conducted eight weekly meetings, each lasting four hours, totaling 32 hours of coursework. In addition to the classes, a visit was made to the Okinawa Club in Bauru (São Paulo), where it was possible for the students of the course and the elderly group (fujinkai) of origamists of the club to exchange experiences. Finally, an exhibition was organized to display the artifacts produced by the course participants and disseminate the work of the students.

Studies on learning by exclusion have shown that participants tend to select a new object or a new figure when a new word is dictated, rejecting the objects and figures they already know or that were associated with other words. This study aimed at training conditional relations between dictated word-picture and between picture-printed word, by exclusion, and verify whether this training would be a condition for the emergence of relations between dictated word-printed word, printed word-figure, picture naming and reading. We also investigated whether responding to the words dictated with a female voice generalized to other frequencies such as male and child voices. Participants were five children between five and nine years old, with acute neurosensorial bilateral hearing impairment, users of cochlear implant Nucleus 24k®. They were exposed, individually, to tasks that consisted in selecting a comparison stimulus (either picture or printed word) related to the sample (either dictated word or picture). Words with lowest scores on a pre-test were used. The relations between dictated word-figure (AB) and figure-printed word (BC) were taught by exclusion. We assessed the emergence of the relations between dictated and printed words (AC), printed word and picture (CB), male and child voices generalization (A’C and A’’C), naming (BD) and reading (CD). All the children responded by exclusion and learned relations AB and BC, showing receptive vocabulary; AC and CB relations also were learned, consistent with class formation. Responding generalized to male and child voices, but data on naming were not systematic. Learning by exclusion was similar to that of children with typical hearing and these results describe some conditions that can improve receptive verbal repertoire.
