Relações públicas e a mediação do diálogo intercultural na comunicação organizacional

The large flow of businesses going abroad generates an ever more diverse internal multicultural organizational scenario. Different national cultures inside an organization can directly influence the management of people. Human values, languages, customs, work modes/routines and different habits can create conflicts among parties. This study deals with the role of Public Relations as a tool/strategy to deal with conflicting intercultural communication inside business organizations. The analysis is grounded on theoretical principles concerning the roles of communication professionals as the individuals responsible for the relationship between an institution and the internal public. The study introduces intercultural communication as a growing area to be explored by the Public Relations professional and highlights the possibility of emerging innovative solutions for organizational problems. It also brings reports by professionals that have intercultural experience concerning Brazil and Germany in an attempt to illustrate conflicts that might have been prevented by actions taken by a specialist in Communication in order to promote mutual understanding

Oferta educacional nas creches e parcerias público-privado nos municípios paulistas de 100.000 a 500.000 habitantes

Este trabalho, financiado pela Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (Fapesp), identifica, caracteriza e analisa, no conjunto dos municípios paulistas de 100.000 a 500.000 habitantes, os diferentes arranjos institucionais firmados entre o Poder Público Municipal e instituições privadas para a oferta educacional em creches, bem como verificar as implicações do FUNDEB - Fundo de Manutenção e Desenvolvimento da Educação Básica e de Valorização dos Profissionais da Educação - na performance das matrículas na educação infantil da rede pública e privada. O período considerado para o presente estudo foi entre 2000 e 2009. O início do período em 2000 se justifica pelo prazo final estabelecido pela LDB 9394/96 para integração das creches aos respectivos sistemas de ensino ser dezembro de 1999. Já o término do período em 2009 possibilita identificar alterações nas matrículas em creches após a instituição do FUNDEB. Desta forma utilizamos como procedimento teórico-metodológico o levantamento e análise bibliográfica, contatos telefônicos diretos com os gestores municipais para coletar informações sobre as parcerias, dados disponibilizados no Banco de Dados do Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas em Política Educacional (GREPPE), sites oficiais dos municípios e sites governamentais. Constitui-se este trabalho como parte integrante da pesquisa “Oferta Educacional nas creches: Arranjos Institucionais entre o Público e o Privado” financiada pelo CNPq e coordenada pela Profª Drª Raquel Fontes Borghi. Um estudo de caso sobre a organização escolar e as relações interpessoais dentro do âmbito educacional

Violence and school organization are always current issues. And to investigate these two issues, the present study was carried within a public school in the city for being considered a model of educative institution. The analysis focused on finding out why some institutions are considered good and others not and also to explain how these good relations within the school studied. Therefore, we first observed the school in its stages: entry and exit of students, breaks and classroom activities. Then consult the official documents, such as the Management Plan, Rules, Standards, among others. And finally we interviewed staff, targeting participants in the educational process (principal, teacher, staff, students). Facing this data we verified that a good relationship is needed on the beliefs and the search for a favorable environment is the aim for everyone, especially regarding to teaching-learning processes of a student, that is: teamwork. And as every institution has its flaws, we nee greater participation, especially of what we call school community (parents and relatives).

Análise crítica da política educacional da progressão continuada e as consequencias de sua implementação na organização do trabalho do professor

This course conclusion paper has as its theme the critical analysis of the Educational Policy Continued Progression. At this juncture when much is produced on specific themes of interest in continued progression in the reflection on the consequences of implementing this policy in organizing the work of teachers an their autonomy, seeking to contribute to public policy debates.The problematization that will undertake this work wonders if the policy continued progression is, in fact, a government strategy to remove the teacher control over their work and contribute to the process of alienation and loss of autonomy of a schoolteacher. Arquitetura educacional: edifício escolar

O ensino básico elementar e complementar é um elemento primordial para o desenvolvimento humano (aluno) e é a fonte da sabedoria e da ampliação do conhecimento científico. Para desenvolvimento e crescimento populacional de um país é fundamental o investimento, ou ampliação da rede educacional. A falta do número suficiente das escolas e professores nos últimos anos tem sido a maior preocupação dos alunos e também do Ministério da Educação Nacional em Bissau, mas com a falta das condições financeiras e da coordenadoria dos projetos educacionais o País acaba de abarcar tais situações. A procura do ensino básico elementar e complementar (liceu) no interior do País foi e ainda é até hoje, uma das causas do êxodo rural. Antigamente o enquadramento dos filhos dos agricultores na escola era visto para os pais como o abandono da família principalmente nos trabalhos domésticos e do campo/lavora; devido a falta das escolas eles são obrigados de abandonar regiões deles a fim de procurar as escolas, ou seja, escola que atende os seus níveis escolares, mas hoje em dia com mentalidade diferente em relação ao passado todas as pessoas querem adquirir ensino, ou seja, a formação educacional. Com as experiências vividas ao longo do período em Guiné-Bissau nos últimos anos, a rede de ensino não cresce proporcionalmente em relação ao crescimento populacional, muitas das vezes as suas ampliações sempre foram feitas através de uma forma provisória e desconfortável aos seus usuários. Então a idéia da criação de um novo complexo, ou projeto do Edifício Escolar para a República da Guiné-Bissau ajudará futuramente para o desenvolvimento do País, isto é, se for implantados em Bissau e multiplicados no interior da Guiné-Bissau. Informatização na educação em saúde: avaliação de site educacional

Health education presently experiences the incorporation of information technology, thus making access to information more practical and attainable. The initiatives to make health care scientific content available virtually have shown to be useful for teaching, health care professionals and the general population. A website, however, must be constantly managed. To promote the dissemination of the website at www.educacaoemsaude.fmb.unesp.br among faculty members and undergraduate nursing students and students at Escola Técnica de Enfermagem (Vocational Nursing School) - ETE, by evaluating, among them, its graphic and functional aspects and seeking suggestions for its improvement. This is a descriptive quantitative study for which the participants were asked to fill out an instrument designed for the study. The evaluation was performed among nursing faculty members and students at Univ Estadual Paulista Júlio Mesquita Filho – UNESP and students at Escola Técnica de Enfermagem (Vocational Nursing School) – ETEC in the city of Botucatu. The number of participants totaled 88 individuals, of whom 23 were undergraduate students, 62 were students at ETEC, and 3 were faculty members. Eighty-one were females, and 7 were males. The participants’ age ranged from 17 to 56 years. Among the items that evaluated the website, the answers prevailed from “very good” to “good”. When the participants were asked what they had thought about the website, the answers were mostly positive, and the most frequently description given was “interesting”. Among the facilities, the most frequently reported was “easily understood content”, and as regards difficulties, handling the website was the most often mentioned. A contribuição de Lima Barreto para o entendimento da crítica educacional brasileira do início do século XX

This study aims at enhancing the understanding of the educational criticism in the beginning of the twentieth century, focusing on the ideas of Lima Barreto. Before the emergence of the "educational professionals", educational thought was developed by publicists and writers involved in a fertile debate, the results of which became visible in literary and journalistic production. Through the analysis of articles, short texts published in the press, novels and short stories written by Lima Barreto, it’s possible to gather a specific concept of education, underlying his criticism and fictional characterization of school education, as well as an interesting sketch of the cultural profile of Brazilian society at the time. Either explicitly or implicitly, in their evaluative and theoretical references, the limits of the critical readings of the author, which are expressed in the contradiction between negation of the given conditions and their affirmation, unveil the historical aspects of social and educational thinking and criticism.

A política educacional do PT na Prefeitura Municipal de São Paulo (1989-1992): formulação e institucionalização

It was investigated how the conceptions of PT for the educational area defended in national meetings of the party have configured as policies in the City Hall of São Paulo during 1989-1992. It was made an analysis of official documents and measures adopted by the Municipal Education Secretariat. Then, it could be concluded that the priorities of implementation of the PT proposal entitled popular public school were based on four categories: Democratization of Management; New Quality of Teaching; Movement of Adult and Youth Literacy (MOVA) and Democratization Access.

Mediação dialético-pedagógica e práxis educativa: aula para além das paredes escolares

Este texto tem por objetivo apresentar as representações do mundo do trabalho dos alunos do Ensino Médio, da Escola Estadual Prof. Dr. João Deoclécio da Silva Ramos, Distrito de Talhado, São José do Rio Preto (SP), através do uso de mídias virtuais, especificamente o Blog de Aula - Mutirão de Sociologia (www.mutiraodesociologia.com.br). Compreender as representações de mundo trabalho possibilita aos alunos pensar em uma profissão a qual se identifiquem, além de estimular a reflexão enquanto futuros profissionais. As mídias virtuais, especialmente os blogs, possibilitam aos alunos expressar seus modos de viver e pensar o mundo do trabalho. No contexto da cidade de Rio Preto, é especialmente relevante aquelas representações do mundo do trabalho rural, de modo que este projeto vem a colaborar na elaboração de pesquisas interessadas na descrição e compreensão de processos que envolvem relações entre trabalho, educação e mundo rural.
