Marcas da sexualidade construidas na idade média que contribuiram para o aparecimento da homofobia

Esse trabalho objetiva o estudo da sexualidade na Idade Média, a fim de analisar as marcas construídas pela história que contribuíram para a formação dos pensamentos fortemente presentes na sociedade contemporânea relacionados à homofobia. A Idade Média foi um período de grandes mudanças na sociedade, onde houve a disseminação de pensamentos relacionados à sexualidade que prejudicaram a vida de muitas pessoas, inclusive dos homossexuais. Portanto, para a realização dessa pesquisa serão considerados os acontecimentos marcantes sobre a sexualidade nessa época. Desse modo, considerando as concepções construídas e passadas de geração em geração, presenciamos atualmente grande ocorrência de episódios de preconceito e violência contra homossexuais, justificadas com argumentos fundamentados em ideias de tempos remotos. Assim, por meio de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, buscaremos compreender essas marcas deixadas pelo tempo utilizadas até hoje como instrumentos de preconceito e violência e geradoras de um fator contemporâneo, a homofobia

A influência da mídia na procura por exercícios físicos e suas possíveis consequências psicológicas

Modern society is characterized by the advance of technologies, the emergence and constant development of the technological field is responsible for a series of population adjustments, that being practically molded and daily transformed by media, which usually has the power of manipulating opinions and public approaches in every capacity and extensions of our lives, being a significantly and important tool, which most part of individuals in contemporary society can't work and live without, therefore most part of individuals depend on the use of many technological means, including social means, which have great relationship with the development and emergence of many psychological problems that completely impact on the social life of affected individuals, thus Physical Education is an area with the goal of verifying the level of influence that media reflects on the lifestyle choice to be followed and the relation of this influence with the presence and development of a series of psychological disorders that affect directly the health of those individuals. It has been gathered data about the subject according to scientific basis, more specifically, on Academic Google, Scielo and Pubmed, where it has been researched scientific articles that could contribute with the data and information to complete the text. The psychology of sports is an area of studies and knowledge that investigates and develops insight about these questions, making available scientifically tested and proven materials that supports the P.E. professional, that is connected in the practical field to visualize possible chained symptoms of these psychopathologies according to the development of these psychic disorders, that are usually common in current days, more precisely, disorders such as Anorexia, Vigorexia, self-dependence to physical exercise and selfcorporal dissapproval. Meningite supurativa secundária a otite média e interna em um gato: relato de caso

Suppurative meningitis are rarely reported in dogs and cats. The present study aims to report the occurrence of suppurative meningitis secondary to otitis media and interna in a five-year-old female Persian cat examined at the Veterinary School of Unesp-Botucatu with acute progressive multifocal neurological alterations. Analysis of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) demonstrated predominance of neutrophils (90%) and the presence of bacteria. Therapy with antibiotics was initiated, but the animal came to die. beta-hemolytic Staphylococcus, beta-hemolytic Streptococcus and Proteus mirabilis were detected in fragments sent to culture. The present report demonstrates the importance of performing more specific exams such as complete CSF analysis in cases of otitis media and interna. This way, central nervous infections can be diagnosed and treated in a timely manner, as those are acute diseases with poor prognosis.

Adequação territorial com abordagem multicriterial pela análise da combinação linear ponderada

From the characterization of biophysical attributes of the watershed (slope, soil types, capacity to land use and land cover), this article, used the multi-criteria analysis method – Weighted Linear Combination, defined priority areas for adaptation to the use of land as to its capacity of use. With this methodological approach, were created for the watershed under study, four classes, formed by different combinations of biophysical attributes (discrete data), representing levels of priorities for agricultural land use. The Multicriteria Evaluation in a GIS is suitable for the mapping of priority areas to the suitability of land use in watersheds. The geospatial information on the biophysical environment, generated from the methodological procedures described in this article, has a high positive potential to guide the rational planning of the use of natural resources and territorial occupation, besides serving as a powerful instrument to guide policies and collective processes of decision on the use and land cover.

A (des)construção da imagem do sujeito professor na mídia: evidências da materialização de valores sociais

The main objective of this study focuses on investigate how the style of the Conhecimento Prático Língua Portuguesa magazine, from Escala publisher, reveals a materialization, in its wordings, of social values that surround our society regarding the teaching class. Besides, we thought about the construction of an other - teacher - by means of the I speech (the enunciator). Furthermore, we reflected on how happens the genre opinion article handling and whether there is, when aimed to the teaching class. All these questions were discussed under the perspective of Bakhtin's theory, focusing our analysis in the wording notions, dialogism, style and speech genres. Our analysis indicates a materialization of social values in syntactic issues and a hybridization of genres when the addressee is a teacher

Reestruturação e automação de processos: caso de um processo da área de compras e suprimentos de uma empresa brasileira do setor de mídia

Innovation in the field of Information Technology (IT) have made companies evaluate their processes and activity of its supply chain to conform to this new reality. In the supply chain management, one of the tools that revolutionized the activities was the use of management information systems such as ERP tool. This system allows greater integration of data from multiple areas of the enterprise and beyond, giving more activities to processes and activities. This work aims to analyze the results and impacts of the restructuring of an equipment leasing process in a Brazilian media company and verify that the gains and improvements that were targeted in the initial design of this restructuring have been achieved. Also the risks identified with this change will be studied, the reactions of those involved in this process and the performance of the chain as a whole. To carry out this work was carried out a single case study with data collection in the assessed company and literature related to supply chain and information systems

Suicídio de idosos e mídia: o que dizem as notícias?

Como a mídia aborda o suicídio de idosos? E o que as notícias sobre suicídio de idosos nos dizem? Estas foram as perguntas que guiaram esta reflexão, que se debruçou sobre matérias de suicídios de idosos publicadas na mídia nacional, entre abril de 2010 e abril de 2013. Observamos que a palavra “suicídio”, até pouco tempo atrás “aquela-que-não-deveria-ser-nomeada” na imprensa, aparece na maior parte das notícias, no título e nos textos, demonstrando que o suicídio, como problema de saúde pública, afasta-se do campo privado para ocupar e compor o espaço público. Constatamos que entre as principais situações de risco que levam os idosos a cometer um “gesto de comunicação” extremo estão os efeitos de uma política econômica recessiva e o prolongamento da vida sem dignidade, mediante o medo da dependência e do provável “trabalho” aos demais; situações que indicam serem essenciais o desenvolvimento e o fortalecimento das redes de suporte social.

Perigo, probabilidade e oportunidade: a linguagem dos riscos na mídia

Partindo do pressuposto que risco é um conceito central na sociedade contemporânea, este estudo teve por objetivo entender o papel da mídia na circulação e consolidação da linguagem dos riscos. Tendo por base estudos anteriores, optou-se por trabalhar com um único jornal, a Folha de S. Paulo, sendo adotados três procedimentos de pesquisa: 1) mapeamento da diversidade de termos utilizados para falar sobre a possibilidade de ocorrência de eventos concebidos como ocasião para ganho ou perda; 2) análise diacrônica de uma amostra representativa de matérias com a palavra risco no título (1921 e 1998); 3) análise do uso da linguagem de risco por área temática (CD-Rom Folha, 1994-1997). Os resultados sugerem que o uso da linguagem dos riscos na mídia é recente e diversificado, apoiando-se ora na linguagem formal do cálculo de risco, ora no uso metafórico do termo, para falar de desordem na sociedade contemporânea.

O estigma da esquizofrenia na mídia: um levantamento de notícias publicadas em veículos brasileiros de grande circulação

CONTEXTO: O estigma que pesa sobre as doenças psiquiátricas é o mais forte impedimento para que o paciente busque tratamento, mais até que a dificuldade de acesso aos serviços de saúde. A esquizofrenia também é a doença mais usada hoje como metáfora na mídia, aparecendo rotineiramente associada a crimes e violência. OBJETIVOS: Avaliação da presença do estigma estrutural na mídia brasileira por meio do levantamento de notícias em imprensa e internet que utilizam o termo "esquizofrenia" e correlatos ("esquizofrênico/a") sob três aspectos: (a) uso médico e científico; (b) atribuição do diagnóstico de esquizofrenia a suspeitos de crimes com pouco ou nenhum rigor médico ou científico; (c) uso metafórico. MÉTODOS: O estudo foi realizado em três etapas: levantamento de notícias, classificação dos itens encontrados e análise do contexto em que foram publicados. O levantamento foi realizado em dois períodos - 2008 e 2011 -, sendo o primeiro restrito ao jornal Folha de S. Paulo e o segundo ampliado para os portais dos principais veículos impressos brasileiros. RESULTADOS: Foram encontrados 229 textos, distribuídos da seguinte forma: 89 (39%) registros em ciência e saúde, com tendência à impessoalidade; 62 (27%) registros em crime e violência, em que o "diagnóstico" de esquizofrenia é feito por leigos e "corroborado" por uma arqueologia da vida do suspeito que arrola toda sorte de comportamentos fora de padrão; 78 (34%) de uso metafórico, sempre de caráter depreciativo. CONCLUSÕES: A maioria dos textos encontrados (a) não dá voz ao portador de esquizofrenia e a seu sofrimento, (b) banaliza a doença psiquiátrica ao empregá-la fora de contexto para caracterizar decisões políticas e econômicas contraditórias ou de caráter duvidoso e (c) reforça o estigma que pesa sobre o portador de esquizofrenia ao personalizá-lo apenas nos raros casos de violência em que se supõe seu diagnóstico.

Tipos de erros de fala em crianças com transtorno fonológico em função do histórico de otite média

OBJETIVO: Descrever os índices articulatórios quanto aos diferentes tipos de erros e verificar a existência de um tipo de erro preferencial em crianças com transtorno fonológico, em função da presença ou não de histórico de otite média. MÉTODOS: Participaram deste estudo prospectivo e transversal, 21 sujeitos com idade entre 5 anos e 2 meses e 7 anos e 9 meses com diagnóstico de transtorno fonológico. Os sujeitos foram agrupados de acordo com a presença do histórico otite média. O grupo experimental 1 (GE1) foi composto por 14 sujeitos com histórico de otite média e o grupo experimental 2 (GE2) por sete sujeitos que não apresentaram histórico de otite média. Foram calculadas a quantidade de erros de fala (distorções, omissões e substituições) e os índices articulatórios. Os dados foram submetidos à análise estatística. RESULTADOS: Os grupos GE1 e GE2 diferiram quanto ao desempenho nos índices na comparação entre as duas provas de fonologia aplicadas. Observou-se em todas as análises que os índices que avaliam as substituições indicaram o tipo de erro mais cometido pelas crianças com transtorno fonológico. CONCLUSÃO: Os índices foram efetivos na indicação da substituição como o erro mais ocorrente em crianças com TF. A maior ocorrência de erros de fala observada na nomeação de figuras em crianças com histórico de otite média indica que tais erros, possivelmente, estão associados à dificuldade na representação fonológica causada pela perda auditiva transitória que vivenciaram.
