Kohesio anaforikoa. Adinaren eta testu generoaren araberako azterketa

[EN] The main focus of this paper is the cohesion of the theme. First of all, placing anaphoric cohesion within the theoretical framework developed by Bronckart (1985, 1996), we need to distinguish between cohesion, connection and coherence; and furthermore, within the field of cohesion we need to distinguish between verbal cohesion and cohesion as regards nouns. Similarly, the paper also defines discourse as the linguistic realisation of the text, and talks about different types of discourse and textual genres. Next, the paper focuses on the different approaches to cohesion. Since anaphoric cohesion is the cornerstone of the study, some limits of this concept are defined and its main indicators specified. Studies carried out from four different perspectives are taken into consideration: those that focus on understanding pronominal anaphora; those that seek to analyse the discursive side of language acquisition; those that look at anaphora and written texts; and those that concentrate on the didactic side of anaphora. From the model offered by Bronckart’s theory and the aforementioned studies, the following hypothesis is extracted: in Basque, language development is something which takes a long time, and textual genre plays an important role in defining and determining this development.

Dialog Systems based on Markov decision processes over two real tasks

In this work the state of the art of the automatic dialogue strategy management using Markov decision processes (MDP) with reinforcement learning (RL) is described. Partially observable Markov decision processes (POMDP) are also described. To test the validity of these methods, two spoken dialogue systems have been developed. The first one is a spoken dialogue system for weather forecast providing, and the second one is a more complex system for train information. With the first system, comparisons between a rule-based system and an automatically trained system have been done, using a real corpus to train the automatic strategy. In the second system, the scalability of these methods when used in larger systems has been tested.

Ahozkotasunaren irakaskuntza bigarren hezkuntzako testuliburuetan

[EN]Traditionally writing skills have been given priority in language teaching and so, oral skills have been put aside. However, during the last years many voices have asserted the importance of oral skills. Therefore, they claim that oral language teaching must be emphasized at school. Also, the necessity of strengthening oral language is shown in the new curriculum. Nevertheless, those intentions are reflected in very different ways in textbooks. In this work we have looked into the treatment that oral language is given in teaching materials because, in our opinion, textbooks are one of the most important tools for teachers. The facts show that the importance given to oral language and the exercises and tools needed to work that skill are very different from one publishing house to another. Besides, we have confirmed that all the textbooks don’t satisfy the requirements proposed in the Basque official curriculum (e.g. didactic sequences) or that the approach to the text or the way to work with it are not always what they should be. Therefore, it is obvious that we have still a long way in the field of oral language and specially in the way of teaching oral skills

[EUS]Argudiatzeko orduan izen kohesiorako mekanismoak nola erabiltzen diren aztertzen du lan honek. Horretarako 12 eta 14 urteko ikasleek iritzia emateko idazten dituzten gutunak hartzen dira kontuan, bi alderdi hauei erreparatuz: aurrekaria aurkeztu eta mantentzeko erabiltzen diren adierazpide anaforikoen ezaugarriei, eta adinaren arabera adierazpide horien erabileran egon daitezkeen ezberdintasunei. Adibide batzuen bitartez ikusiko dugunaren arabera, 14 urteko ikasleek estrategia diskurtsibo hobeak erabiltzen dituzte gutunari izen kohesioa emateko, besteak beste testuaren gestio globala eta planifikazioa ere hobeak direlako.
