El presente proyecto fin de carrera tiene como objetivo informatizar todo el sistema de gestión de farmacias con el fin de dar un servicio a los farmacéuticos más independiente, más eficaz y más sencillo.

El món està mal repartit, això és evident. La qüestió és: fins a quin punt? El treball que segueix a continuació pretén estudiar aquest mal repartiment a través d'un àmbit concret: el de la indústria farmacèutica.Els recursos per a la investigació farmacèutica sovint es destinen a finalitats que estan lluny d'aconseguir benestar pel màxim nombre de persones possible. En canvi, es destinen allà on hi ha més possibilitat d'obtenir uns elevats rendiments econòmics. Malgrat no haver-hi dades concretes que evidenciïn aquest fet, sí que n'hi ha d'indirectes que ens ajudaran a esbrinar-ho.En l'estudi es posa en evidència les enormes discriminacions que pateixen diferents tipus de malalties, així com també algunes solucions que permetrien arreglar el problema, però que no es duen a terme. A més, ens endinsem en el món de la indústria farmacèutica a partir de dos països i dues malalties que mostren de primera mà la situació de la indústria farmacèutica mundial.

Patentes, regulación de precios e innovación en la industria farmacéutica

The trade-off between property rights/price regulation and innovation depends on countrycharacteristics and drug industry specificities. Access to drugs and innovation can bereconciled by seven ways that, among others, include: public health strengthening in thecountries with the largest access problems (those among the poor with the weakestinstitutions); public and private aid to make attractive R&D on neglected diseases; pricediscrimination with market segmentation; to require patent owners to choose eitherprotection in the rich countries or protection in the poor countries (but not both).Regarding price regulation, after a review of theoretical arguments and empirical evidence,seven strategies to reconcile health and industrial considerations are outlined, including:mitigation of the medical profession dependence on the pharmaceutical industry; considerationof a drug as an input of a production process; split drug authorization from public fundingdecisions; establish an efficiency minimum for all health production inputs; and stop theEuropean R&D hemorrhagia.

Contribución de la empresa farmacéutica a los Objetivos de Desarrollo del Milenio: ¿Responsabilidad Social Empresarial o Acción Social? Caso de estudio: Novartis

Esta memoria aborda la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (RSE) y la Acción Social (AS) de las empresas farmacéuticas como contribución a los ODM y al Derecho Universal a la Salud. El objetivo del estudio es comprobar si dicha contribución se cumple a través de la RSE, o a través de AS, partiendo de la hipótesis que es la AS la herramienta utilizada. Para ello se realiza un análisis cualitativo de las acciones y programas desarrollados por dichas empresas y dirigidos a los países empobrecidos, y contrastándolo con un modelo de RSE y AS, construido tras la revisión las definiciones de los principales organismos, y realizando su análisis conceptual y la definición de sus elementos distintivos.

Autoevaluación intercativa y lúdica de Tecnología Farmacéutica

[eng] The individual work of the student, in the European space for higher education, takes a particular relevance. At the same time, in this context, a complex challenge is presented to the professors, in the educational and formative work aimed at the students as well as in the organization of educational plans. Among the different activities that the system of ECTS comprises, we can highlight the preparation and accomplishment of examinations. This fact means to integrate into the learning process the individual and autonomous work that the students have to carry out to acquire the knowledge and to surpass the evaluation test. To achieve this objective, a database including multiple choice questions with three possible answers has been developed (similar to those composing part of the Pharmaceutical Technology test). This database has a design that facilitates its use by professors and students interested in this area and allows as the interactive evaluation of obligatory and optional subjects from the formal point of view, as a corporate recreational environment to make their employment more attractive for the students. The edition of the Web page of the Pharmaceutical Technology Teaching Innovation Group of the UB has been used to place this database within everybody"s reach. [spa] El trabajo individual del alumno adquiere, dentro del marco europeo de educación superior, una particular relevancia. Al mismo tiempo, en este contexto, a los profesores se nos presenta un reto complejo, tanto en nuestra labor docente y formativa del alumno, como en la organización de los planes docentes. De las distintas actividades que engloba el crédito europeo podemos destacar la preparación y realización de exámenes, hecho que supone integrar en el proceso de aprendizaje el trabajo individual y autónomo que realiza el estudiante para adquirir los conocimientos y superar las pruebas de evaluación. Para conseguir este objetivo se ha planteado la elaboración de una base de preguntas con tres respuestas posibles (del tipo de las que componen parte de los exámenes de Tecnología Farmacéutica), en forma de base de datos con un formato que facilite su utilización por parte de profesores y alumnos interesados en este ámbito y que permita tanto la evaluación interactiva de las asignaturas troncales y optativas desde el punto de vista formal, como su aplicación en un entorno lúdico corporativo para hacer más atrayente su empleo por los estudiantes. Se ha aprovechado la edición de la página Web del Grupo de Innovación Docente de Tecnología Farmacéutica de la UB para ponerlo al alcance de todos.

Introdução a modelagem molecular de fármacos no curso experimental de química farmacêutica

Molecular Modeling is an important tool in drug design and it is very useful to predict biological activity from a library of compounds. A wide variety of computer programs and methods have been developed to visualize the tridimensional geometry and calculate physical properties of drugs. In this work, we describe a practical approach of molecular modeling as a powerful tool to study structure-activity relationships of drugs, including some antibacterials, hormones, cholinergic and adrenergic agents. At first, the students learn how to draw 3D structures and use them to perform conformational and molecular analysis. Thus, they compare drugs with similar pharmacological activity by superimposing one structure on the top of another and evaluate the geometry and physical properties.

Instal•lació d'un reactor químic en una indústria farmacèutica

L’objecte del projecte és l’ampliació de la línia de producció d’una indústria farmacèutica dimensionant la fontaneria i instal•lant el reactor químic. Els antecedents són els seguents: en el Desembre de 2013,una indústria farmacèutica decideix ampliar la producciód’una línia existent de treball, instal•lant un reactor químic en paral•lel a la línia deproducció existent. Al Gener de 2014 es decideix adaptar una zona que s’utilitza com a magatzem per fer la nova producció. Per tant s’ha d’adaptar la zona com a Sala Blanca per complir amb la seva nova funcionalitat. A Febrer de 2014 es contracta un enginyer per redactar el projecte de l’adaptació de la Sala Blanca, així com les instal•lacions necessàries per posar en funcionament el Reactor químic adquirit pel client

Desafios da química analítica frente às necessidades da indústria farmacêutica

The development of liquid chromatography-mass spectrometric (LC-MS) techniques in the last few decades has made possible the analysis of trace amounts of analytes from complex matrices. With LC, the analytes of interest can be separated from each other as well as from the interfering matrix, after which they can be reliably identified thanks to the sensitivity and specificity of MS. LC-MS has become an irreplaceable tool for many applications, ranging from the analysis of proteins or pharmaceuticals in biological fluids to the analysis of toxic substances in environmental samples. In different segments of Brazilian Industry mass spectrometry has an important role, e.g. in the pharmaceutical industry in the development of generic formulations, contributing to the growth of Industry and social inclusion. However, the Brazilian chemists until this moment don't have an effective role in this new segment of the analytical chemistry in Brazil. The present paper shows the actual scenario for mass spectrometry in the pharmaceutical industry, emphasizing the need of a revision of graduation courses to attend the needs of this growing market.

Validação de método para determinação de resíduos de amoxicilina aplicado à validação de limpeza em indústria farmacêutica de penicilânicos

The aim of this work was the single-laboratory validation of a quantitative method for the determination of amoxicillin residues in support of cleaning control and validation. Linearity was demonstrated between 2.5 and 17.5 μg/mL, without matrix effects. Mean recoveries ranged from 84.00 to 103.74% and the relative standard deviation under repetitivity and within-reproducibility conditions were from 0.58 to 4.20% and from 0.79 to 4.39%, respectively. The theoretical limits of detection and quantification were 0.133 and 0.442 μg/mL, respectively. The studied method was suitable for cleaning control purpose within good manufacturing practices.
