Postulados inciertos para una praxis estético-política deconstructiva

La deconstrucción, precisamente porque no prescribe una estética ni una política, actúa como estrategia de apertura a/de lo diferente y la alteridad, y opera de este modo una propuesta nómada de pensamiento y acción. Algunas categorías que han canalizado la reflexión en estética y política durante siglos, como representación, juicio, interpretación, sentido, firma, secreto, etc. se encuentran con sus impotencias o su lado oscuro o simplemente una nueva lectura "inadecuada" a través de un análisis deconstructivo; este análisis contribuye, así, a pensar de otro modo una estética y una política por venir.

"Everyone Loves Marineland!" (?): Entertainment Animal Advocacy, Praxis, and Resisting Corporate Repression

Following allegations and graphic evidence of animal cruelty and neglect documented by ex-employee whistleblowers of Marineland Canada to the Toronto Star newspaper in late 2012, the ethics surrounding animal captivity have been increasingly contested in regional public discourse. Animal advocates in the Niagara region and beyond have been compelled to demand change at the infamous local captive animal park— whether it be welfare-oriented reform, or radical animal liberation. With this as a backdrop, this research explores the ideologies, experiences, and strategic tactics of anti-Marineland animal advocates; the sociopolitical issues surrounding the largely unexamined but serious issue of imprisoned animals as entertainers; and the ensuing governmental and corporatist attempts to squash dissent of anti-Marineland critics. Situated within a Critical Animal Studies theoretical paradigm as well as a flourishing global anti-captivity critique inspired by the film Blackfish, this project employs semi-structured interviews and participant observation methodologies to analyze advocates' views on captivity under capitalism and the effectiveness of their praxes. Finally, this research illuminates the nuances of the conventionally-upheld dualistic theoretical debate of animal welfare versus animal rights within zoo and aquaria entertainment contexts through an exploratory examination of advocates' complex ideological views.

Commerce équitable et Développement durable : Paradigme, Praxis et Enjeux pour les Organisations

Depuis son émergence, il y a maintenant plus de vingt ans, le projet sociétal du Développement durable s’institutionnalise en France, notamment dans un contexte de priorisation de l’environnement. Le commerce équitable, défini institutionnellement comme contribuant au Développement durable, renouvelle alors son paradigme et semble se trouver à moment charnière de sa construction sociale, celui d’un « commerce durable ». L’intégration de ce nouveau cadre offrirait alors aux organisations du commerce équitable des opportunités notamment en termes de stratégies et pratiques environnementales. Cependant, cette évolution les expose aussi à un « écoloscepticisme » ambiant et pose clairement l’effectivité de leur logique originelle, anthropocentrique, celle d’avoir comme essence les producteurs défavorisés au Sud.

Rezentralisierung: Server-Based Computing in der Praxis einer Universitätsbibliothek

Der Beitrag beschreibt die Ein- und Durchführung einer Server-basierten Computerinfrastruktur in einer Universitätsbibliothek. Beschrieben wird das so genannte MetaFrame-DV-Konzept der Universitätsbibliothek Kassel, das das dortige Informationsmanagement in den letzten vier Jahren initiiert, konzipiert und umgesetzt hat. Hierbei werden nunmehr nicht mehr nur Applikationsserver z.B. für das CD-Angebot eingesetzt, sondern sämtliche ca. 200 Mitarbeiter- und Funktionsarbeitsplätze über eine Citrix MetaFrame-Installation serverseitig betreut. Besonderes Augenmerk gilt in diesem Beitrag der Konfiguration, der praktischen Administration und den täglichen Arbeitsbedingungen an den Bibliotheksmitarbeiterarbeitsplätzen.

Grammatik der gesprochenen Sprache in Theorie und Praxis

Die vorliegende Arbeit gliedert sich in die aktuelle Diskussion um eine grammatiktheoretische Verortung der gesprochenen Sprache ein. Zentrale These der Arbeit ist, dass eine Theorie der Grammatik der gesprochenen Sprache komplexen Anforderungen genügen muss, die nur durch eine Modellierung mehrerer interagierender Theoriebausteine bewältigt werden können. Im theoretischen Teil der Arbeit werden zwei solcher Theoriebausteine vorgestellt, die einen ersten Schritt auf dem Weg zu einem Gesamtbild der Theorie der Grammatik der gesprochenen Sprache darstellen sollen. Die theoretischen Überlegungen werden im praktischen Teil der Arbeit auf die viel diskutierte Frage der grammatischen Einheitenbildung gesprochener Sprache angewendet.
