Five zones along a transect of 180 m were selected for study on the Island of Pai Matos (Sao Paulo, Brazil). Four of the zones are colonised by vascular plants (Spartina SP, Laguncularia LG, Avicennia AV and Rhizophora RH) and were denominated soils, and the other zone, which lacks vegetation, was denominated sediment (SD). The geochemical conditions differed significantly in soils and sediment and also at different depths. The soils were oxic (Eh > 350 mV) or suboxic (Eh: 350-100 mV) at the surface and anoxic (Eh < 100 mV) at depth, whereas in the sediment anoxic conditions prevailed at all depths, but with a lower concentration of sulphides in the pore water and pyrite in the solid fraction. Under these geochemical conditions Fe is retained in the soils, while the Mn tends to be mobilized and lost. The most abundant form of iron oxyhydroxide was lepidocrocite (mean concentration for all sites and depths, 45 +/- 19 mu mol g(-1)), followed by goethite (30 19 mu mol g(-1))and ferrihydrite (19 +/- 11 mu mol g(-1)),with significant differences among the mean concentrations. There was a significant decrease with depth in all the types of Fe oxyhydroxides measured, particularly the poorly crystalline forms. The pyrite fraction was an important component of the free Fe pool (non-silicate Fe) in all soils as well as in the sediment, especially below 20 cm depth (mean concentration for all sites and depths, 60 +/- 54 mu mol CI). Furthermore, the mean concentration of Fe-pyrite for all sites and depths was higher than that obtained for any of the three Fe oxyhydroxides measured. The Fe-AVS was a minor fraction, indicating that the high concentrations of dissolved Fe in the soils in the upper area of the transect result from the oxidation of Fe sulphides during low tide. Mossbauer spectroscopy also revealed that most of the Fe (III) was associated with silicates, in this case nontronite. The presence of crystals of pyrite associated with phyllosilicates in samples from the upper layer of the soils may indicate that pyritization of this form of Fe(III) is more rapid than usually reported for ocean bed sediments. The sequential extraction of Mn did not reveal any clearly dominant fraction, with the Mn-carbonate fraction being the most prevalent, followed by exchangeable Mn and oxides of Mn, whereas pyrite-Mn and Mn associated with crystalline Fe-oxides were present at significantly lower concentrations. The high concentration of dissolved Mn found in the soils in the lower part of the transect is consistent with the fact that the solubility is determined by the carbonate fraction. Unlike for Fe, in the soils in the higher zone, which are subject to intense drainage during low tide, there was loss of Mn, as reflected by the concentration of total Mn. (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V. La présence de la Bible dans la poésie du Boca do Inferno est un fait certain pour ceux qui gardent une mémoire littéraire des compositions tênues comme sacrées par la perception religieuse. Ce travail de conclusion de Mestrado, qui a comme titre Dieu et le diable dans la poésie de Gregório de Matos, pour répondre à la question portant sur la façon dont le poète baihanais s approprie de l héritage biblique, développe le thème de la quête grégorienne des Écritures pour faire de la parodie au moment d élaborer sa poésie. Pour rendre effectif un tel travail, l étude fait recours surtout à la fortune critique-théorique construite dans les essais de Haroldo de Campos qui se consacrent à l oeuvre de Gregório de Matos et aux textes bibliques en tant qu héritage littéraire de haute valeur. Ce travail fait encore recours aux constatations sur l art-culture baroque formulées par Helmut Hatzfeld et par José Antonio Maravall, et à la théorie anthropaphagique de la formation de la culture brésilienne, établie par Oswald de Andrade, à fin de donner un support aux observations faites lors de la lecture de la poésie grégorienne. L anthropophagie biblique mise en rite par Gregório de Matos en tant que travail qui précède l ironie parodique repérable dans ses textes est un aspect de son oeuvre qui répond pour son caractère unique: récits de la Bible juive, la poésie de l Ecclésiaste et des passages des Évangiles font écho dans l oeuvre du poète brésilien.

The exponential figure of Gregório de Matos e Guerra has been subject of many theoretical discussions through the years, since his apparition in a public place, in the 19th century, and even more, during the 20th century, when he was salvaged by the modernist vanguard. As a result, there are yet two antagonist points of view linked to Gregório de Matos, on one side, there some researchers who defend him, on the other, some of them attack him. The first ones say this poet from Bahia was the first literary voice in Brazil, from the Baroque basis, while the last ones say he is a merely plagiarist of the Spanish poets from the 17th century, without a real contribution to the development of Brazilian Literature. With this in mind, this thesis follows the perspective this poet is an anthropophagus-baroque, devouring cultures, with an active participation in the process of our cultural and literary identity. For that reason, it was made a literature review about the biography of this poet trying to break romantic descriptions, emphasizing some scientific facts that can contribute to present the baroque profile of this poet. In this sense, it was discussed the History of Literature focused on this creole poet, mainly based on the historians point of view about the Gregorian poetry in the formation of Brazilian Literature scenery. In the defense of the hypothesis that Gregório de Matos was our first anthropophagus, this work aims to analyze how his poetry reveals the intrinsic characteristics of Baroque and Anthropophagy, focusing its carnivalesque aspect, showing to the world, with a satiric tone, the idiosyncrasies of human life. In this way, analyzing this corpus in Spanish is the strength of this thesis because, besides it is previously unpublished, it contributes to the comprehension of the anthropophagy as a theoretical mechanism that explains the process of formation of our cultural literary identity. Then, we have Augusto de Campos (1968; 1978; 1984; 1986; 1988), Haroldo de Campos (1976; 2010a; 2010b; 2011), Severo Sarduy ([1988?]), Oswald de Andrade (1945; 1978; 2006), Mikhail Bakhtin (2010), Octavio Paz (1979), Segismundo Spina (1980; 1995; 2008), Afrânio Coutinho (1986a; 1986b; 1994), Affonso Ávila (1994; 1997; 2004; 2008), among others, to constitute this theoretical scenery. The Gregorian poetry, in this way, have contributed to the formation of baroque-anthropophagic scenery in Brazilian boundaries, with a special attention to the transition of time, because he is not only from the 17th century, established by the historiography, but his work is present nowadays due to the contemporaneously of his themes, centered to the eternal doubts of baroque man

This work shows the professional staff of the Family Health Program (PSF) in Santana do Matos City perceive the Unified Health System (SUS). Their discourse and recognition of the advances of SUS, as well as their participation on the implementation of the system, are analyzed. The Brazilian Ministry of Health instituted it in 1994 in order to rebuild the health politics on a new basis, substituting the traditional model. The city-centered implementation of SUS was instituted on May 27, 1992 by the act nº 631/92 and today it experiences a Full Management of Basic Attention. In July 2001 the PSF program was started in the city with 5 teams: 2 in the urban zone and 3 in the rural one. The methodology was developed with the combination of qualitative and quantitative research with the employment of a questionnaire with both open and closed inquiries to 31 members of the program. The study appointed that, no matter how positive and enlarged be the staff s concept of health and SUS, they dont s have on understanding of the total chain of the system on its integrality, hierarchy and regionality what hinders the system performance close to the users. The PSF incorporates and reaffirms the basic principles of the SUS; however, on its everyday employment it has not yet abandoned totally the curative model, which is reinforced by the hospital-centered and physiscian-centerend culture

El proyecto tiene como metas contribuir a disminuir la incidencia de embarazos en adolescentes de 11-19 años en los distritos San Gregorio Poniente, Parque Intercomunal y San Gregorio Oriente de la comuna de la Granja. Los principales productos lo constituyen: a) 6 talleres de capacitación sobre sexualidad del adolescente a 30 personas de los programas de planificación familiar; b) formación en sexualidad y manejo de grupo de 350 promotores juveniles (150 de 11-14 años y 200 de 15-19 años en 17 grupos; c) elaboración de material educativo sobre sexualidad y anticoncepción; d) campañas educativas dirigidas a 3.483 jóvenes de 11-19 años de edad; e) formación de 16 clubes de padres; f) formación de 35 grupos juveniles que operen en organizaciones comunitarias; g) propuestas de incorporación de contenidos sobre educación sexual en la currícula de la enseñanza primaria y media.

This study investigates the theme of misogyny on the works of Francisco de Quevedo and Gregório de Matos. The investigated material consists in five selected poems of each author which conform to this perspective. The objective is to establish an initial approach that indicates the prejudice against women on the poetics of both writers, in association with the historical context of the 17th century and the baroque´s aesthetics on literature

Sucinta semblanza y temprana valoración de la vida y la obra de Gregorio Weinberg sobre su quehacer ligado a un vasto proyecto cultural para sentar las bases de un nuevo humanismo incluyente, que tiene en el libro su símbolo más alto. En una primera aproximación se lo descubre siempre preocupado por repensar y corregir la tentación esencialista, a histórica y excluyente en que puede incurrir el quehacer filosófico. Su labor consistió en una vida al servicio de la reflexión crítica, la educación y la edición. Vio en libros, editoriales y bibliotecas, auténticas empresas culturales de largo alcance y radical incidencia en el avance de una sociedad.
