A bubalinocultura leiteira no Estado do Pará, o qual é detentor de 51% do rebanho bubalino nacional, vem buscando alternativas para o aumento da produtividade dos sistemas, os quais são baseados no uso do pasto como fonte alimentar. Neste contexto, objetivou-se avaliar o desempenho de novilhas bubalinas recriadas em pasto de capim-Marandu e suplementadas com diferentes estratégias. Utilizaram-se 48 novilhas com idade e peso médio iniciais de 12 meses e 207,0 kg, respectivamente, distribuídas em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, com quatro tratamentos e duas repetições. As dietas testadas foram um suplemento a base de farelo de coco (COC); o segundo a base de torta de dendê (DEN); terceiro com milho e soja (M+FS) como controle positivo e um quarto tratamento utilizando mistura mineral (MM) como controle negativo. Os animais que consumiram os suplementos COC, DEN e M+FS apresentaram ganho diário adicional de 0, 399, 0, 405, 0, 319 kg/animal, respectivamente, em relação aos do grupo controle (P<0,05). O tratamento a base de coco obteve a melhor relação custo/benefício quando comparado aos demais tratamentos. A suplementação da dieta de novilhas bubalinas recriadas em pasto no período seco por meio do uso de subprodutos agroindustriais proporciona ganhos semelhantes ao binômio milho e farelo de soja e adicionais quando comparados ao sal mineral a um menor custo, traduzindo-se em aumento da produtividade, sustentabilidade e receita da atividade.

A autora procura discutir as consequências de a cultura juvenil ser hoje o ingrediente fundamental da comunicação digital, e os efeitos desta cultura sobre o comportamento dos jovens e sobre o próprio conceito de juventude. Ela enfatiza que nas últimas décadas tal conceito passou definir, mais do que uma faixa etária, uma espécie de mercadoria, oferecida, para qualquer interessado, na mídia, em academias de ginástica, casas de shows, shopping centers e nos mais variados espaços urbanos. A pesquisadora analisa o comportamento de várias gerações de jovens, especialmente depois da Segunda Guerra Mundial, a partir da consolidação da TV e de mídias voltadas especificamente para esse público, como os suplementos teen. E mostra que as novas tecnologias digitais - com sua portabilidade, mobilidade e interatividade - estão trazendo novos cenários, novas conformações da vida social, múltiplas configurações de tempo e desenhando espaços antes inimagináveis, ocupados principalmente pelos jovens. Trata-se de uma geração extremamente conectada e rebelde à sua maneira contra os valores tradicionais, que está desenvolvendo um novo estilo e um novo modo de entender o processo comunicativo, com grande dinamismo. No entanto, trata-se também de uma geração que não consegue fugir do aspecto mais perverso das tecnologias digitais, pois estas, ao evoluírem e se transformarem praticamente a cada dia e quase sempre a reboque do mercado, exigem seguidas adaptações, que os jovens nem sempre conseguem acompanhar de forma rápida e sistemática, de modo a ficarem imunes a frustrações.

Com o ritmo acelerado que a vida moderna exige, é cada vez mais evidente a necessidade do ser humano em buscar novas experiências para que os façam sentir emoções e sensações inéditas, não existentes no dia a dia. Com isso a busca por esportes de risco vem sendo cada vez maior, visto que muitos destes esportes satisfazem os desejos por novas experiências. Acredita-se que haja inúmeros fatores atrativos que levam os indivíduos a aderirem a essas praticas. No presente estudo foi verificado que fatores psicológicos estão fortemente presentes, o medo e a ansiedade mostram-se fatores atrativos, assim como o desejo de conhecer lugares novos, o que aponta para uma ligação direta com o turismo. A sensação de bem estar, satisfação, alegria e orgulho foi afirmada por maioria dos sujeitos, o que acaba levando os indivíduos a procurarem diversos esportes de risco, favorecendo a aderência a essas modalidades e a permanência nas mesmas.

O objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar a associação entre música e atividade física no que diz respeito ao bem-estar psicológico e o estado de ânimo de participantes de esportes coletivos. Confirmam os estudos, que os benefícios da prática de atividade física juntamente com a música são muitos e inegáveis. Os participantes de esporte coletivo, por estarem sempre em contato com muitas outras pessoas e sempre sofrendo muitas influências de todos os lados (meio e pessoal), foram os escolhidos para o estudo. A literatura disponível e estudada apóia a idéia de que uma pessoa que esteja na presença de uma música de seu gosto, se estruturando de forma correta, pode se sentir mais motivada e psicologicamente preparada. A diferenciação dada nesse estudo foi à idéia de colocar a música “preferida” e “nãopreferida”, assim conseguimos avaliar a influência positiva e também a negativa dada pela música. Por meio de questionários passados pré e pós a atividade física, fizemos a análise, e a conclusão foi o que os estudos já diziam, de que existe uma clara influência da música tanto nos aspectos do humor, quanto nos psicológicos, positivamente e também negativamente. Considerando tudo isso, a idéia de existirem mais trabalhos para o aprimoramento de treinamentos com a presença da música ideal é o foco do estudo.

The increasing number of gyms and their patrons increasingly concerned about the health, appearance and aesthetics propagated by the media and the supply of ergogenic both food as hormonal some without proof of its effects generated interest for the study of consumption of such ergogenic goers by academies of Bauru/SP; objective was also to assess whether the Physical Education professionals are prepared to guide properly, such as the use of these goers ergogenic. To this end, a questionnaire specific to each category was used, to be answered voluntarily and anonymously, with closed and open questions divided into two parts: one for socio demographic characterization and another in which were discussed issues regarding the use/orientation ergogenic. The research involved a sample of 12 academies and 205 attendees, including 152 men (74.15%) and 53 (25.85) women. Among men, 61.18% (n=93) did use ergogenic(s) food(s), while among women, this percentage was 33.96% (n=18). Regarding the use of hormonal resources, only 4.61% (n=7) of men said they used; there were no cases of women using hormonal resources. Were also interviewed 19 assessors/trainers/teachers, two which fifteen (15) men and four (4) women. Most consumers of ergogenic: (1) is understood in the age group 21-30 years and the socioeconomic classification bands called B1 and B2; (2) practice bodybuilding and consumption ergogenic resources with purpose of muscular hypertrophy; (3) practicing bodybuilding for a period between 1 and 5 years, consumes ergogenic(s) for a period less than one year, and perhaps the most significant event, starts the consumption of ergogenic(s) in a period of less than one year after starting the practice of bodybuilding, and that there are consumers who start consuming ergogenic as soon begin the practice of bodybuilding; (4) has as its main source of indication for the use of ergogenic, the gym instructor, among which, some respondents reported...

To the practitioners of resistance exercise, a better performance is associated with nutritional habits and the help of nutritional supplements. Whatever, this use has been made improperly and without foundation, advised by persons not trained, leading to misuse. To analyze the profile of practitioners in the knowledge of and access to supplements, as well as knowledge about the sport and the need to use additional food resources. A questionnaire will be used to youths aged 15 to 21 consumers of nutritional supplements on the sports, the substance used, why the substance used, who appointed her, which substances have been used, satisfaction with that product, and socioeconomic characteristics of the individual. The data will be correlated by Pearson's correlation coefficient. It is expected that the abuse of supplements is associated with ease by socioeconomic status and experience in the sport for the little progress with the adoption of a routine training exercise in the circumstances only. The major difference compared to the goal of practice, was the motivation for the improvement of physical fitness (Guaruja 21% and Bauru 9.6%), with the intention of increasing muscle mass response occurring closer (Guaruja 22% and Bauru 19.2%) among respondents, and reported more emphasis on the Interior Health (17.3%). The use of supplements is somewhat similar to trends involving body aesthetics and fitness for participation in sports, in the Coast (hypertrophy: 33% body fat reduction, improved endurance and improved performance in sports: 20%), and beauty, fitness and health, the Interior (hypertrophy: 41% increase in strength: 22%, and quality of life: 15%). The objective was to evaluate the performance and production costs of Nellore steers growing on Brachiaria brizantha cv. Marandu during the dry season receiving mineral supplements with partial replacement of corn by residual glycerin. 40 Nellore steers with initial body weight of 203.12 +/- 20.10 kg and average initial age of 12 months, distributed into eight paddocks of 1.6 ha each, were used. The experimental design was completely randomized with five replicates and eight supplements. Supplements with levels of partial replacement of corn by glycerin were evaluated: 0% (G0), 10% (G10), 20% (G20), 30% (G30), 40% (G40), 50% (G50) and 60% (G60) provided on the amount of 1 kg/animal/day in the natural matter, and a mineral supplement (MS). The average daily gain (ADG) was higher (P<0.05) in animals receiving supplements G30 (0.609 kg), G40 (0.588 kg) and G60 (0.611 kg) in relation to supplements G0 (0.546 kg), G10 (0.509 kg), G50 (0.561 kg) and MS (0.223 kg). There were differences (P <0.10) in ADG in supplemented animals when compared to MS. The supplemented animals showed higher ADG (P<0.05) compared to MS. The different levels provided positive financial return. It is concluded that the supply of multiple supplements replacing the corn by glycerol in production systems of steers in the dry period provides higher productive performance levels of 30, 40 and 60% and positive financial return to levels of 60% of replacement, demonstrating thus, its potential use for intensive systems of beef production on pasture.

The objective was to evaluate levels of multiple supplements supplied to beef heifers in low supply of pasture on intake and nutrients digestibility, pH and concentration of ruminal ammonia nitrogen, nitrogen balance, synthesis and microbial efficiency. Five Nellore heifers with initial body weight of 344.00 +/- 21.10 kg and average initial age of 22 months were used. The following supplements were evaluated as fed to the animals: control (mineral supplement) and supplementation levels of 2, 4, 6 and 8 kg/animal/day, composing the following percentages of body weight (BW): 0.55, 1.11, 1.66 and 2.22%, respectively. The experimental design was a Latin square with five replications and five supplements. Intakes of total dry matter, crude protein (CP) and total digestible nutrients, and total apparent digestibility of dry matter, crude protein, total carbohydrates and no fiber carbohydrates increased linearly (P <0.0001) and dry matter intake of forage decreased (P <0.0001) with supplementation levels. Supplementation strategies promoted reduction on ruminal pH (P = 0.0343) and increased concentration of ruminal ammonia nitrogen (NH3-N) (P = 0.0004) before the supply of supplements, and after, this NH3-N presented quadratic behavior (P = 0.0023). Nitrogen intake, excretion of urea in urine and nitrogen excretion in feces increased linearly (P <0.0001) according to supplementation levels. The supply of high levels of multiple supplements reduces forage intake and presents itself as an alternative to cattle maintained in a systems with low supply of pasture in the dry season.

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is one of the most popular sports in the world, but it is a new sport and there are few studies on its historical process. The television appearances and the new medias show a sport that changes in each event, presenting an image of the current spectacle and of the spectacle of consumption. The purpose of this study is to explore and analyze the historical process and the creation of MMA, how it came out and the reasons that have led the sport to be as popular as it is today

The objective of this study was to determine which method (randomor block practice) has been used by physical education teachers working inschool sports with children from six to seven years, making use of descriptiveresearch, we apply a semi-structured questionnaire applied to ten (n=10)Physical Education Teachers, graduates of both sexes (04 men and 06 women)age between 24 and 41 years. Based on data collected across the sourcesfound in our literature we find that there is a teaching methodology for motorlearning among teachers in common showing that factors such as the numberof students in each class and especially the response of this group tasksguide the methodology to be applied is thus based on the skill of the teacher’sperception of the whole.

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the concept of e-sports (or electronic sports) in sports journalism in transmedia context. To achieve this goal are performed refl ections on the current concept of sport, the strong presence of game culture in contemporary society and their implications in the media ecosystem through the presentation of an on-line platform for electronic sports, called Twitch. Th is thread moves into a new media ecosystem created in interdisciplinary sphere that encompasses sports and media & technology. In this environment sports and video games seek merge into the concept of e-sport (electronic sport), a phenomenon of contemporary digital culture.
