En la Revista del Paraná -que dirige Vicente Quesada en año 1861-, Juana Manuela Gorriti publicó tres relatos que si bien presentan detalles inverosímiles, principalmente se caracterizan por contextualizar las tramas argumentativas en períodos de la historia argentina: las luchas de la independencia en "Güemes. Recuerdos de infancia" y episodios de la dictadura de Rosas en "El lucero del manantial" y "El guante negro". El objetivo del presente trabajo será analizar de qué modo los relatos de Gorriti contribuyen a consolidar el proyecto de la revista -que es el de formarun círculo literario nacional consagrado al estudio de nuestro país- y, al mismo tiempo, estudiar de qué manera esta incorporación tiende a consolidar su imagen de autora nacional, en tanto hija del gobernador salteño José Ignacio Gorriti y víctima de la dictadura de Juan Manuel de Rosas, es decir, como testigo privilegiado de la historia
