Protocolos de natação em modelos experimentais com ratos

Exercise physiology has attempted to reproduce the experimental exercise in the laboratory using mainly rats. The swimming exercise has emerged as one of the leading research in these type ergometers. Thus, this research consisted of a literature review addressing the key issues which involve the exercise of swimming in the model rats. Training of aerobic and anaerobic swimming, evaluation models and models of periodization were the topics suggested in this research. In several studies, models of aerobic and anaerobic training have been proposed with the aim of studying their effect on normal and abnormal physiological parameters. However, earlier studies lacked methods of analysis aiming to determine the exercise intensity in the animal model. For this reason, in the last decade, assessment models have been adapted for humans to animals, especially rats. The maximal lactate steady state (MLSS) and lactate minimum (LM) are among the various techniques used to measure the amount of effort produced by swimming exercise in rats. Thereafter, based on biochemical parameters such as lactate, swimming exercise in rats has become the highest-rated, ie, using as reference the anaerobic threshold (AT). In another aspect, an entirely new line of research has tried to understand and promising swimming training in a periodized and its effects on some biochemical parameters. But this is an area little researched so far. Thus, the experimental model of swimming has proved an important resource of exercise physiology. From this model, it becomes possible to study the exercise, especially swimming, in more accurate, based on invasive and incisive analysis of the rat

Helicobacter pylori em boca: epidemiologia e associação com doenças bucais

The association of Helicobacter pylori with different gastric diseases has been continuously discussed in the literature, whereas the last 20 years a large body of publications was intended to characterize the ecological niches and habitats of this pathogen being the mouth a possible habitat for that rod. The present study aimed to discuss the occurrence of this organism as part of the supplemental or transient microbiota of the mouth. Thus, an extensive review of literature covering the period 1990-2014 was carried out with different databases, yielding 5024 articles discussing transmission and occurrence of H. pylori, in English or Portuguese. Articles were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria and data were tabulated and analyzed. Despite the significant heterogeneity of the literature, it was found this microaerophilic has a worldwide distribution, even in the mouth, which behaves as a reservoir for gastric reinfection. The role of oral hygiene and periodontal disease in the distribution of this microorganism remains unclear, but most studies support the hypothesis that oral biofilms and inflammation of periodontium may facilitate the installation of this pathogen in the mouth. Studies suggest that this microorganism could collaborate as a predisposing factor for oral cancer.

As demonstrações experimentais e suas implicações na motivação dos alunos para o aprendizado de conceitos científicos

As demonstrações experimentais são atividades de grande tradição na História da Ciência, sendo realizadas desde 1660 na Royal Society, por grandes expoentes da Física, com o objetivo de promover a divulgação dos conhecimentos científicos desenvolvidos.Com o objetivo de contribuir com a melhoria e o interesse dos alunos pelos estudos das Ciências Exatas, bem como a conscientização destes sobre conceitos relacionados à Energia e seu impacto sobre a sociedade e sobre o meio ambiente, temos realizado atividades de demonstrações experimentais, denominadas de “Show de Energia”, nas escolas públicas de Ensino Médio de cidades da Região de Guaratinguetá, interior do Estado de São Paulo. Em cada um dos shows realizados entrevistamos os alunos, através de um questionário estruturado, buscando avaliar o impacto dessa atividade na motivação dos estudantes para o aprendizado de conceitos científicos. Os resultados apontam para a grande influência que a realização dos shows tem exercido sobre a motivação dos estudantes.

The scenery in the media and converging technologies favors the process of “ creative destruction and destructive creation “ of this field . The mapping of basins and technological corridors distributed through the territory of concentrated areas creates an infrastructural chassis for the production of content , information and entertainment . As locus and logos of immaterial production , digital ecology that gives speed to the flow of production - planning, fundraising , publishing , distribution and enjoyment - and allows the dispossession of their local clusters , the fragmentation and dilution of their creative chains . The collective cultural production and creation appropriating these capilarizados articles and produce content against political, economic and social status quo . The land is fertile and favorable to the emergence of radical media and rebels that recreate the public sphere , and edit poor public spheres , alternative , radical and efficient , the tactical point of view . This article aims to contribute to studies and research that scour the ecosystem of the media for understanding the management of their creative processes, actors and critics of tangible and intangible resources that support their communication actions .
