Com o avanço da mídia televisiva e recentemente da internet, o jornalismo impresso parece estar perdendo força mercadológica, com tiragens cada ano menores. Em busca de novas formas de atrair o leitor e de obter maiores lucros, revistas brasileiras tentam modificar o tradicional texto jornalístico, puramente informativo, para um texto com nova linguagem, que possibilitasse a humanização dos relatos da notícia. Essa nova forma de escrever o texto jornalístico foi batizada no Brasil, nas últimas décadas, de jornalismo literário. Com influências do New Journalism americano, o jornalismo literário parece ter se tornado um fenômeno editorial no Brasil, com o surgimento de revistas que se dedicavam ao gênero e com o lançamento de coleções de livros por importantes editoras brasileiras. Entretanto, as pesquisas de avaliação desse novo jornalismo, tanto na área de comunicação, quanto na das letras, não têm atentado para a necessidade de contemplar a natureza literária para se avaliar a produção textual do dito jornalismo literário. Esta monografia tem como proposta estudar analiticamente a presença da literariedade no jornalismo literário brasileiro contemporâneo, avaliando textos do gênero Perfil das revistas Piauí e Brasileiros. Para isso, recorreremos às contribuições analíticas da teoria da literatura e do que já vem sendo publicado sobre jornalismo literário no Brasil

Este trabalho propôs a criação de um suplemento jornalístico infantil com abordagens informativas de temas culturais. A preocupação com a produção de matérias contextualizadas para crianças partiu da percepção da relativa escassez de produtos jornalísticos que tratem os leitores de dez e onze anos como público capaz de compreender textos pertinentes à cultura e que priorizem a informação e a prestação de serviços à infância. Partimos da concepção de que a mídia assume um papel importante para o desenvolvimento cognitivo da infância e que é possível construir um meio de comunicação favorável à formação integral, com abordagens contextualizadas. O resultado do trabalho foi o produto impresso Pingos, colocando os pingos nos is, com 28 páginas em formato A4, como projeto experimental de um jornalismo comprometido com a qualidade da informação para crianças e voltado para o incentivo à cultura

Currently the service sectors have an increasingly important role in the productive sector because they can represent a great advantage to the consumer. In this graduate work a study was conducted with the objective of process improveme nt services in the sector of technical assistance in a factory machinery and equipment. Through process mapping, through the technical blueprint, and time study were able to identify opportunities for improvement for reducing the time customer service, as well as the proposed performance indicators for the service

O presente trabalho avalia a interação usuário-produtor na Indústria de Máquinas Agrícolas (IMA) e procura demonstrar como esse padrão interativo promove a descentralização das atividades inovativas do setor, com enfoque no caso brasileiro. O Estudo de Caso das empresas multinacionais (Deere & Co, CNH Global NV e AGCO Corp.) corrobora a hipótese do desenvolvimento de projetos em território brasileiro com predominância de projetos de caráter derivativo

This work aims to kinematic and dynamic analysis of a VW Saveiro in order to estimate the power requested to the engine with the imposed movement conditions. Thus, the study will be the basis to the specification of the electric engine, on the conversion of the internal combustion vehicle into electric one. First of all, a literature review was done in order to understand the state of the art for this issue and come up with the technical features of the vehicle in question. The next step is the identification and calculation of all forces acting on the prototype in motion, from 0 to 120 km/h, in intervals of 10 km/h, under the defined conditions of path and time. Then, were determined the values of the torque and rotation of the components from the transmission system, as well as the engine power, for each speed range. The results show the most influential forces on the resistence of the movement in each speed range, and the behavior of the torque curve is verified. Finally, it was also analyzed the implementation of pinwheels on the frontal area of the vehicle, in order to convert wind energy into electrical energy to supply the lighting subsystem of the vehicle and the proposal was validated. Limiting the maximum speed of the vehicle to 90 km/h, it was finally concluded that the power of the electric engine should be 40 HP

Tem havido uma preocupação global com o desaparecimento de polinizadores dos campos de cultivo, podendo causar uma queda na produção de alimentos, e consequentemente, afetar a segurança alimentar em decorrência de déficits de polinização. Dessa forma, ações visando à conservação de espécies polinizadoras e de seus habitats vem assumindo uma importância cada vez maior. A região do município de Guapiara destaca-se no Estado de São Paulo como a principal produtora de tomate. O tomateiro possui flores hermafroditas e autofecundadas, porém uma melhor produtividade pode ser alcançada com a polinização por abelhas. A região apresenta uma diversidade de habitats agrícolas próximos a ambientes naturais preservados (Parque Estadual Intervales e Parque Estadual Turístico do Alto Ribeira), o que favorece o estabelecimento de uma fauna de polinizadores diversificada, mas fortemente impactada pela aplicação intensiva de produtos químicos nos cultivos. A proposição de um plano de manejo objetivando a conservação de espécies de abelhas junto às áreas cultivadas se justifica plenamente para a região, considerando a fauna rica em espécies de abelhas com potencial de polinização para cultivos agrícolas. Planos de divulgação sobre a importância da conservação das espécies ou habitats alvo são parte integrante dos planos de manejo. Entre as ações de divulgação, a elaboração de material impresso é importante pela capacidade de alcance de diferentes setores envolvidos com as espécies e habitats a serem manejados e conservados. Este trabalho é parte integrante de um amplo estudo sobre a importância das abelhas em cultivos de tomate na região de Guapiara. Informações foram coletadas ao longo de dois anos, no qual foi elaborado um diagnóstico do estado de conservação da área, uma descrição da fauna de abelhas associada às flores de tomateiros e uma avaliação do potencial de manejo. O jornalismo se estabeleceu no meio impresso (jornais e revistas) com textos tradicionais e, muitas vezes reféns do lide. A junção de fotografia e quadrinhos ainda é embrionária, mas surge como um recurso para a inovação do jornalismo, já tão dependente de antigos formatos. Nesta monografia, a obra O Fotógrafo é analisada para observar como essas mídias, quadrinhos e fotografia, podem servir de plataforma para uma narrativa jornalística. Em 1986 o fotojornalista Didier Lefèvre viajou ao Afeganistão para acompanhar a caravana de uma equipe da organização Médicos Sem Fronteiras. O intuito era fotografar o trabalho da ONG e revelar a situação do povo afegão em meio à invasão soviética, que durou 10 anos. Na época, seis fotos, de quatro mil, foram publicadas. Treze anos depois, o quadrinista Emmanuel Guibert sugeriu que a história, já esquecida dentro de caixas, virasse livro. Assim nasceu O Fotógrafo, uma obra em quadrinhos, mas que incorpora as fotografias de Lefèvre e seu relato jornalístico das consequências do conflito no país. This paper talks about the importance of the calculator as an aid to student learning, being a powerful educational tool when used properly by the teachers. It‟s also exposed some issues related to the calculator to better understand concepts that help the student learning. As a last activity there is an applied research with Math Teachers at Ana Fausta de Moraes school in Guaratinguetá town, SP, in order to expose the reality about the use of the calculator as a teaching resource

Pressure drop and energy efficiency of compressors in chemical plants are the focus of this study. Its objective is an analysis of possible sources of energy loss through the study of pressure loss in pipes, calculation of thermodynamic efficiency of the compressors. Important issues are raised for this analysis such as the types of compressors, the operating range of each compressor, compression types, as well as a study of accessories such as filters and valves. After studying these issues was carried out calculations of pressure drop step-bystep and with a software WIPCD. Followed by the calculation of efficiency of compressors and monthly energy cost of each compressor in operation. Finally, the study shows some suggestions for immediate improvements, changes and suggestions for possible future purchases of compressors

This paper aims to present the design, development and construction of a reducer / multiplier speeds low cost, sturdy and easy operation. The beginning of the project was given to research on issues related to mechanisms and machine elements, and these theories of fundamental importance in the development of items of equipment which, together with the aid of AutoCAD software, enabled the construction of it. Parallel to the sizing of equipment, were also investigated and taken into account the costs of materials used in the project. Made to mount the reducer / multiplier speeds it was at the evidence through experiments involving the use of torque wrench, tachometer and weights, getting proven applicability in situations that are small or medium loads required

The use of physical characteristics for human identification is known as biometrics. Among the many biometrics traits available, the fingerprint is the most widely used. The fingerprint identification is based on the impression patterns, as the pattern of ridges and minutiae, characteristics of first and second levels respectively. The current identification systems use these two levels of fingerprint features due to the low cost of the sensors. However, the recent advances in sensor technology, became possible to use third level features present within the ridges, such as the perspiration pores. Recent studies show that the use of third-level features can increase security and fraud protection in biometric systems, since they are difficult to reproduce. In addition, recent researches have also focused on multibiometrics recognition due to its many advantages. The goal of this research project was to apply fusion techniques for fingerprint recognition in order to combine minutia, ridges and pore-based methods and, thus, provide more robust biometrics recognition systems, and also to develop an automated fingerprint identification system using these three methods of recognition. We evaluated isotropic-based and adaptive-based automatic pore extraction methods, and the fusion of pore-based method with the identification methods based on minutiae and ridges. The experiments were performed on the public database PolyUHRF and showed a reduction of approximately 16% in the EER compared to the best results obtained by the methods individually

The internal combustion engine is a heat engine widely used in the automotive industry. In order to better understand its behavior many models in the literature have been proposed in the last years. The 0-D thermodynamic model is a fairly simple tool but it is very useful to understand the phenomenon of combustion inside the chamber of internal combustion engines. In the first phase of this work, an extensive literature review was made in order to get information about this kind of analysis and, after this, apply them in a model able to calculate the instantaneous temperature and pressure in one zone of the combustion chamber of a diesel engine. Therefore some considerations were made with the aim of increasing the accuracy of the model in predicting the correct behavior of the engine, adding the combined effects of heat transfer, leakage and injection. In the second phase, the goal was to study the internal flow of a three-dimensional model of an internal combustion engine. In order to achieve this goal the software Solidworks was used to create the geometries of an engine and the suite of softwares Ansys was used to create the moving mesh (ICEM CFD and CFX-Pre) and to solve the CFD problem (Ansys CFX code). The model was able to perform the air flow simulation during the four-stroke cycle of an engine: admission, compression, expansion and exhaust. The results obtained from both models were suitable and they open a new range of possibilities for future researches on the field

Steam generation plants have several industrial applications, being important for the national and global energetic matrix. Operational knowledge of steam plants is extremely important to forming a Mechanical Engineer. The facilities from Faculty of Engineering of Guaratingueta have a no operated steam pilot plant, named Thermal Machine Lab. Nowadays, the Energy Department from the faculty cannot explore this lab for its classes, even being essential to consolidate the theoretical concepts with tests simulating industrial applications. The goal of this project was to restore the operational condition of equipment of steam laboratory by fixing the equipment, and creating operational scripts for them. In a close future this lab could be used for classes, research and other applications

This work aims to determine the first natural frequency of rotation shaft by using a basic software, Excel, and to compare it to the values obtained in laboratory. When an axle is submitted to a rotation, depending on the rotational frequency used, the axle can enter a state of resonance, in which the amplitude of vibration becomes rather high. The frequencies in which the resonance is observed depends on several parameters of the axle, including the number of concentrated masses associated to the axle. Thus, to obtain a computer program of easy use and access, which can preview the frequency of resonance of an axle in rotation with ‘n’ numbers of concentrated masses it has been studied how the frequency varies with each of these parameters. The computer program and the analyses have been made using the Rayleigh Method, which allowed the transformation of a continuous system to discrete through the theory of finite elements, which has proved that, the bigger the number of divisions of the shaft taken into consideration in the calculus of the natural frequency, the more this value gets close to the real value. The results obtained have been considered satisfactory once these have gotten close to the theoretical results expected

Given the exponential growth in the spread of the virus world wide web (Internet) and its increasing complexity, it is necessary to adopt more complex systems for the extraction of malware finger-prints (malware fingerprints - malicious software; is the name given to extracting unique information leading to identification of the virus, equivalent to humans, the fingerprint). The architecture and protocol proposed here aim to achieve more efficient fingerprints, using techniques that make a single fingerprint enough to compromise an entire group of viruses. This efficiency is given by the use of a hybrid approach of extracting fingerprints, taking into account the analysis of the code and the behavior of the sample, so called viruses. The main targets of this proposed system are Polymorphics and Metamorphics Malwares, given the difficulty in creating fingerprints that identify an entire family from these viruses. This difficulty is created by the use of techniques that have as their main objective compromise analysis by experts. The parameters chosen for the behavioral analysis are: File System; Records Windows; RAM Dump and API calls. As for the analysis of the code, the objective is to create, in binary virus, divisions in blocks, where it is possible to extract hashes. This technique considers the instruction there and its neighborhood, characterized as being accurate. In short, with this information is intended to predict and draw a profile of action of the virus and then create a fingerprint based on the degree of kinship between them (threshold), whose goal is to increase the ability to detect viruses that do not make part of the same family
