The consumers' requirements are constantly growing, as well as the concern for the environment. Considering this change of scenario, industrial companies started paying more attention to environmental issues and decided to resort to solutions such as the adoption of the Environmental Management System based on the ISO 14001 model. It is believed that the adoption of this model changes the organizational image, both internally and externally. This possible change was the focus of this research, considering that many publics related to certified companies may have the wrong idea about what being a green company really means. The objective of this study is to verify, through a survey research, the relation between the Environmental Management System based on ISO 14001 with organizational image of Brazilian firms. At first, this paper presents a theoretical review on Environmental Management System, IS0 14001, Organizational image, green Marketing, Greenwashing and Public Relations. Next, the research method is presented, as well as the results obtained through theoretical study, the research application and data analysis, and a brief analysis of the Public Relations' role in the organizational environment at issue. Televisão e mídias digitais na América Latina: um cenário em construção

The text is the initial result of a project called Global iTV, Interactive and systems Hybrid TV: a new advanced scheme for future services and applications in a global environment, contemplated by Call MCTI / CNPq 13/2012 – EUBrazil Cooperation Program in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) which has as its central theme the development of a standard that enables interoperability between the various digital TV systems operating jointly, exchanging and using information. Thus, using bibliographical and documentary research, the article goes on to demonstrate how this perspective panorama is drawing from the advent of digital television and the use of technology in Latin America, seeking to identify similarities, differences, problems and solutions arising from the use and consumption of digitizing television signal in the region. The results demonstrate the importance of media convergence, but point out that there are still large sections of the population on the margin of the Digital Society and the benefits provided by digital networks and that poverty and poor education are important contributions to this scenario.

Imagem organizacional e contação de histórias: um estudo sobre o uso do storytelling como recurso estratégico de comunicação

With the actual context of globalization and with advance of information and communication technologies, especially on the internet, the ways in which individuals relate and communicate have changed. Then, it comes a new dynamic of creation, production and distribution of messages, accompanied to a reality of information overloaded as a result of the diversity of emission sources which makes it difficult to attract the attention of individuals. Thus, the communication process in organizations has to go through a reconfiguration in order to adapt to these changes, seeking a strong position and new strategies to reach your audience. In this sense, many organizations are using storytelling to transmit their messages. Then, the objective is to understand how this narrative format can be a strategic resource of communication and also understand how the stories of common people help to produce identification, relationship and to strengthen the organizational image. Therefore, it analyzes, through the content analysis method and categorization technique, three videos that are constituted as storytelling, especially those based on people experience. It is expected that this research may contribute to the theoretical and methodological study of the adoption of new communication strategies, such as this narrative format

Adaptação literária para televisão: uma análise de O Canto da Sereia

The Literary adaptation for television miniseries are present in the schedule grids of Brazilian television channels. We can afford that it is about a line of production of the most relevant in the two main television networks that maintain a project of teledramaturgy. The Strong presence of miniseries imposes the need to investigate the process of intersemiotic translation from the literary text to the audiovisual text on the way to reflect the esthetics of these productions in front of the constants process of tecnology mutation. Refinamento geométrico de contornos e cumeeiras de telhados de edifícios extraídos de dados laser com uso de imagem aérea

In this paper, a method is proposed to refine the LASER 3D roofs geometrically by using a high-resolution aerial image and Markov Random Field (MRF) models. In order to do so, a MRF description for grouping straight lines is developed, assuming that each projected side contour and ridge is topologically correct and that it is only necessary to improve its accuracy. Although the combination of laser data with data from image is most justified for refining roof contour, the structure of ridges can give greater robustness in the topological description of the roof structure. The MRF model is formulated based on relationships (length, proximity, and orientation) between the straight lines extracted from the image and projected polygon and also on retangularity and corner injunctions. The energy function associated with MRF is minimized by the genetic algorithm optimization method, resulting in the grouping of straight lines for each roof object. Finally, each grouping of straight lines is topologically reconstructed based on the topology of the corresponding LASER scanning polygon projected onto the image-space. The results obtained were satisfactory. This method was able to provide polygons roof refined buildings in which most of its contour sides and ridges were geometrically improved.

Estudo sobre a construção da imagem de corpo feminino na revista Women's Health

The human being and consequently the human body is a subject that opens a range of possibilities for research in Physical Education study it never hurts and issues facing health helps us understand the paths chosen by the company. Women are targeted exposure and cult of the body and it is not uncommon to search for tips on how to have the silhouette of dreams through magazines that provide recommendations for achieving this purpose. The objective of this study aims to examine some concepts of body image, body and health, targeting study two books originated from the women's magazine Women's Health . Evaluate strengths and possible dangerous points of information. Through these studies we noted the importance of understanding the role of body image in the design to be healthy and yes we found studies that are presented in the magazine, good contribution, but there is also information that must be analyzed carefully, as not to prejudice the reader . We suggest further studies in this area to a greater understanding of topics covered in this work

Imagem corporal e ginastas: pesquisas e publicações no Brasil. -

The present study emerged from discussions of the Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas Pedagógicos em Ginástica (GEPPEGIN), from UNESP/RC, and had the intention to understand and analyze the existence and discussions on Body Image and Gymnasts in researches and publications over the last decade (2003-2013) in Brazil. Body image refers to the mental representation of the body, structured according to the world. It is known that cultural and social pressures have been imposing an ideal body model and generating consequences as body dissatisfaction. Therefore, this study aims discuss the body image of Artistic and Rhythmic gymnastics' athletes. The choice of these modalities is justified by the fact that they are directly related to body image, especially the issue of the necessity of low body weight, beyond the relationship of complex movements and the need of good body awareness (BERRY; HOWE, 2000; KERR et al., 2006). For the development of this qualitative research, a documentary survey were conducted over the last decade (2003-2013) on Body Image and Gymnasts, focusing on researches of strictosensu postgraduate programs, recognized by CAPES, and scientific papers published in journals indexed in Brazil and classified in Physical Education Qualis. For categorization of information related to the theme, was used the organization by the units of analysis proposed by Laville and Dionne (1999). Based on the studies analyzed, perceive a dissatisfaction with body image to most participants from all studies, being athlete or nonathlete. Contração de polimerização e expansão higroscópica de resinas compostas: análise pela técnica de video-imagem

To evaluate the volumetric changes due to polymerization and thermocycling on different resin-composites. Methods: Thirteen A2 Universal Dentin shade resin-composites (n = 10) from eight manufacturers were evaluated (4Seasons, Grandio, Venus, Amelogen Plus, P90, Z350, Esthet-X, Amaris, Vita-l-escence, Natural-Look, Charisma, Z250 and Opallis). The polymerization shrinkage percentage (PS) was calculated using an image measurement device (ACUVOL - Bisco Dental). Equal volumes of material, standardized by a semisphere polyurethane matrix (d = 3mm) were used and, after 5 minutes of relaxation, the baseline volume measurements were obtained with 18 J of energy dose from the LED light-curing unit. Measurements were obtained after 5 minutes and PS values calculated. Specimens were stored in a drydark environment for 24 hours and re-measured. Specimens were then thermocycled in distilled water between 5oC and 55oC for 20,000 cycles, subjected to another volume measurement at 5,000 cycle intervals. Specimens were gently dried prior to each measurement. Results: Repeated measurements were made using ANOVA (α = 0.05) showed that all resin-composite volumes were influenced by the number of cycles. Volumes at 5 minutes post-polymerization (12.47 ± 0.08) were significantly lower than those at baseline (12.80 ± 0.09). Volumes at 24 hours (12.43 ± 0.19) were insignificantly lower than those at 5 minutes postpolymerization. With regards to the impact of thermocycling, all specimens showed statistically significant increases in volume after 5,000 cycles (13.04 ± 0.22). Although statistically different from those after 5,000 cycles, there was no statistically significant difference between volumes measured at 10,000 (12.87±0.21), 15,000 (12.92±0.24), and 20,000 (12.84±0.23) cycles. A cárie dentária e a imagem do dentista sob a ótica infantil

The aim of this research was to study dental caries and the image of infant about dentists. Were selected randomly, 92 students from a two publics schools and 88 from a two privates schools, in the city of Araçatuba, São Paulo State. The children to answer a questionnaire composed of 13 questions and to make a drawing to represent a dental caries. The results were accomplished by using the statistical analyses “ Qui-square “ test and the “ Fisher “ test. The drawings were analyzed by a specialist psychologist. We concluded that the image about the dentist, for the children, is highly favorable and most of them know what it is the dental caries and how it is caused.

Giroversão dental: formação de imagem radiográfica virtual

Entre as diversas anomalias dentárias, a giroversão dental constitui uma anomalia de grande prevalência, na qual o dente realiza rotação em torno do seu próprio eixo. No exame radiográfico panorâmico é possível verificar a presença de giroversão, porém, quando a dinâmica de giro do eixo do equipamento não coincide com a curvatura da maxila e mandíbula, a imagem dos dentes apresenta-se girovertida ou com apinhamento dental. O presente trabalho teve por objetivo avaliar se as giroversões dentais presentes nas radiografias panorâmicas são verdadeiras ou apenas “virtuais”. Foram selecionadas 71 radiografias panorâmicas com imagens sugestivas de dentes girovertidos, de pacientes que também possuíam a documentação da cavidade bucal por fotografia e modelo de estudo. A média de idade dos pacientes avaliados foi 15 anos de idade. A imagem radiográfica panorâmica, fotografia e modelo de estudo foram avaliadas por um único examinador. Na avaliação das radiografias panorâmicas foram encontradas 246 dentes girovertidos. Porém, ao avaliar a fotografia e o modelo de estudo destes pacientes comprovou-se apenas 127 dentes com giroversão. Estes resultados indicam uma correspondência clinica/radiográfica de 51,4 %, ou seja, 48,6% das giroversões identificadas radiograficamente, eram “virtuais”. Pode-se concluir que o diagnóstico de giroversão dental utilizando a radiografia panorâmica deve ser confirmado pelo exame clínico para evitar diagnósticos falsos positivos.
