TFor companies to remain competitive should seek investment in the project management through new tools. The method Critical Chain has been considered an innovative way to manage projects, to promote change and give great results. However, there are still some questions to be answered and there are few papers reporting on the implementation of CCPM method in real environment of multiple projects. This work analyze the deployment process of Critical Chain at a company in the technology sector, in order to check the risk factors, advantages and difficulties in that process. Showing not only the likely benefits, but also the possible difficulties, mainly cultural and behavioral, inherent in all business transformation processes in order to support the implementation of all theoretical architecture for corporate reality

The Markowitz's objective functions, Value-at-Risk and Conditional Value-at-Risk, are largely used tools in the financial Market for portfolio optimization. This paper tries to analyze these functions having as a target to adapt them for application in non-financial assets portfolios. The paper uses as an example the Electricity Market to analyze and optimize a fictitious investment portfolio of a possible electric power utility. Gerenciamento na construção civil - planejamento e controle: estudo de caso no planejamento físico de um empreendimento imobiliário

Given the high competitiveness in the construction industry, businesses became necessary in a management which reduce costs and delivery times, and is fundamental to running a compatible planning with the magnitude of each work order is the same make feasible the executor. When it comes to planning, one is including both the physical planning of the work, time and duration of the events, as well as the preparation of the cost thereof. This paper addresses the difficulties and best practices of a quality system of an automotive parts company. In it will be discussed the features and benefits of the proper use of a system of management and quality assurance. It emphasizes the proper use of tools and methodologies that aim improving the quality of processes and products. It also has some guidance information given by the standards of quality which helps the implementation of the quality system and the standards are important because it attests to the quality of companies. So, this work has as objective to guide the creation and management of the quality system in auto parts companies, which seek an increase in the quality of products and processes, it also helps to certify companies in the current quality standard for the sector, ISO TS 16949, and thus increases the competitiveness of companies in this market. As result, this paper resumes good practices, difficulties and key steps for creating and managing a quality system

Online discussion forums have been widely used in internet-mediated courses and blended courses. In these learning contexts, the mediator's (or tutor's) role in supporting successful learning is of considerable importance. Firstly, the present article discusses some studies in which the mediator's role in online learning environments is emphasized. Secondly, we use this discussion to support our qualitative case-study analysis, in which we investigated mediators' debate-management strategies in TelEduc virtual forums. Lastly, we propose a reflective framework about management strategies in forums in virtual learning platforms.

Avaliação da qualidade de vida dos funcionários administrativos ativos da Universidade Estadual Paulista - UNESP - Rio Claro

A preocupação com a saúde e bem-estar atinge uma maioria de indivíduos, atualmente a busca por uma vida mais saudável faz parte do dia a dia de grande parte da população. Para alcançar uma boa qualidade de vida diversos aspectos devem ser considerados. No ambiente de trabalho a qualidade de vida tem sido afetada em consequência da utilização cada vez menor das potencialidades corporais dos indivíduos. Em contrapartida, a atividade física proporciona benefícios à saúde dentro e fora do ambiente de trabalho. Assim, o objetivo desse estudo foi identificar a associação entre qualidade de vida no trabalho e sua relação com o nível de atividade física dos funcionários administrativos da Unesp de Rio Claro - SP. A análise dessa associação pode auxiliar no enriquecimento de técnicas para intervenção e promoção da saúde, podendo aumentar a qualidade de vida no trabalho. Para a coleta dos aspectos psicossociais dos participantes foi aplicado um Questionário de Avaliação de Qualidade de Vida no Trabalho em Instituições de Ensino Superior em 136 funcionários administrativos (exceto docentes e trabalhadores de manutenção). Esse questionário avalia 7 domínios em 2 blocos: bloco 1 avaliação de desempenho, bloco 2 avaliação de frequência. Além disso, foi utilizado o questionário de Baecke adaptado por Florindo et al. (2004), para acessar o nível de atividade física. Medidas antropométricas foram coletadas para dados sobre a composição corporal dos participantes. Para coleta de dados sobre os aspectos socioeconômicos foi utilizado o questionário Critério de Classificação Econômica do Brasil proposto pela Associação Nacional de Empresas de Pesquisa (ANEP - 2003). Os resultados demonstraram que a maioria dos funcionários é Moderadamente ativa (58,1%) e na maior parte dos domínios da qualidade de vida no trabalho associados com nível de atividade física os resultados foram indesejáveis...

Análise sobre a importância do gerenciamento de resíduos de construção e demolição na universidade

With the growth of settlements and the consequent rise in civilian buildings, there was a need to allocate appropriately the waste arising from construction and demolition. Failure to meet the standards set about building waste generate social, economic and environmental impacts of remediation difficult. This study aimed to attend the importance of holding management programs involving the waste of construction and demolition at the University by the resulting environmental, economic and social benefits, and analysis of the main stages of Waste Management of Construction and Demolition, whose based on the National Solid Waste Policy, as well as verification of the importance of implementing these steps in the design of works, assisting in future studies of this type of waste and the problems accompanying the University
