A Educação Ambiental já apresenta uma “exigência” da sociedade e tende a se tornar uma realidade institucional. Tal realidade se mostra na rotina de determinadas escolas que estão instaurando e instalando uma prática pedagógica inovadora. A Educação Ambiental no contexto escolar ainda precisa ser pensada e organizada de forma coletiva, entre todos os atores que formam o corpo escolar. A sustentabilidade do planeta e a relação homem/natureza são discussões relevantes no atual contexto da ordem mundial que está inserida numa crise universal de paradigmas. A escola aparece, nesse contexto, como elemento imprescindível e capaz de efetivar a Educação Ambiental. Porém, é sabido que a escola passa por uma crise de paradigmas em todas as suas esferas e que não tem conseguido alicerçar uma nova proposta de educação que a insera no mundo pós-moderno - já que a escola continua ancorada no longíquo e defasado modelo fabril de educação - ou seja, a escola sofre de referências em sua práxis pedagógica e dessa forma se faz urgente e necessário que uma nova pedagogia seja inserida nesse momento em que a escola sofre de uma crise que vai além de uma crise de valoresm mas também passa por um momento de estresse em sua pedagogia. E nesse contexto que surge a necessidade de uma Inovação Pedagógica com a proposta de romper com as práticas em educação que já não são requeridas na atualidade; as práticas tradicionais já não atendem ao atual contexto do mundo o qual encontra-se inserido na ótica do paradigma da complexidade, e esta Inovação deve criar situações novas capazes de criar aprendizagens significativas em um arranjo combinado na relação ensino-aprendizagem capaz de atender às novas demandas desse novo paradigma que se delineia. Neste novo mundo o professor não é mais um mero transmissor de saberes e o aluno deixa de ser um mero ouvinte: o foco deve ser a construção autônoma e significativa do conhecimento pelo estudante. Este trabalho aqui apresentado tem como propósito fazer uma análise das práticas que foram observadas na turma do Segundo Ano do Ensino Fundamental I, onde a da Educação Ambiental é trabalhada durante todo o ano letivo e a partir das diversas observações, entrevistas com alunos, professores, coordenadors e leituras acerca do tema, chegar à conclusão se de fato as práticas ali inseridas remetem a uma Inovação Pedagógica.

Na perspectiva de renovação dos métodos de aprendizagem, esta dissertação investiga um modelo de intervenção pedagógica com diferenciações no processo de construção do conhecimento e suas implicações na aprendizagem da alfabetização no meio prisional. Desconstruindo paradigmas da pedagogia tradicional, o programa de alfabetização carcerária MOVA-BRASIL, aplicado aos reeducandos do Presídio de Igarassu, apresenta prática pedagógica a partir das experiências prévias da turma e com interesse tanto na aprendizagem quanto na reintegração social desses apenados por meio da educação. Todo mecanismo de identificação das necessidades de aprendizagem dos alfabetizandos a partir da percepção de suas situações significativas, caracterizam o MOVA-BRASIL como modelo diferenciador de aprendizagem, inserindo-o num contexto de inovação pedagógica. Na potencialização desta prática pedagógica destaca-se a sucessiva relação desenvolvida entre educador e reeducandos como estímulo para a aprendizagem. Logo, a comunicação dialógica ganha espaço e importância numa turma que sofre dupla carência: exclusão social e educacional. O compartilhamento de conhecimentos e os relatos das necessidades, dúvidas e perspectivas da turma favorecem para a construção deste novo contexto de aprendizagem, em um ambiente repleto de restrições. Embora, os reeducandos descubram e conquistem, neste novo modelo de prática pedagógica, a liberdade a para suas ideias, pensamentos e expressões. Assim, este trabalho acende uma reflexão e evidencia a importância do papel da aprendizagem como mecanismos de libertação, emancipação e reintegração social.

A hidroponia é uma técnica poderosa na utilização eficiente dos recursos agrícolas, pois permite um ganho quer na produtividade, quer na qualidade do fruto. Atualmente os sistemas hidropónicos utilizados em plantas de médio porte não são os mais adequados, sendo esta uma área a explorar. Neste trabalho criou-se um novo sistema hidropónico (Deep Large Flow Technique- DLFT) para aplicação a plantas de médio porte e avaliou-se o seu impacto no crescimento, produtividade, biomassa e qualidade do tomate cereja (Solanum lycopersicum var. Moscatel RZ). O sistema de cultivo tradicional (solo) e semi-hidropónico (suporte com fibra de coco) serviram como base de comparação. Observou-se que após 31 dias as plantas cultivadas no novo sistema hidropónico obtiveram um crescimento acentuado, apresentando 3x mais frutos. Em termos de produtividade, os sistemas hidropónicos foram iguais, sendo o sistema tradicional 4x inferior. O total de biomassa foi significativamente maior no novo sistema hidropónico, com mais 20% e 88% que o sistema semi-hidropónico e tradicional, respetivamente. As plantas produzidas no sistema DLFT apresentaram frutos com qualidade superior, com um rácio de monossacarídeos/acidez de 6,6 mg/g. O conteúdo total de ácidos gordos nos frutos cultivados com este sistema foi 39% e 44% superior aos do semihidropónico e do tradicional. Contrariamente, o conteúdo de flavonóides foi inferior nos frutos cultivados com o novo sistema hidropónico, tendo os frutos do sistema tradicional e do sistema semi-hidropónico 40% e 10% maior teor desta família de compostos. Os resultados obtidos neste estudo demonstram que a utilização do novo sistema hidropónico na produção de plantas de médio porte, aumenta o crescimento, a acumulação de biomassa e a qualidade do fruto. Assim, permite ao produtor reduzir os custos, rentabilizar a produção (menor tempo de produção), valorizar a biomassa da planta e aumentar a qualidade do produto. Também, através dos teores de carotenóides, ácidos gordos e polifenóis poderá inferir-se que ocorreu um menor impato dos stressses abióticos subjacentes aos sistemas nas plantas produzidas pelo sistema DLFT.

Algumas pesquisas demonstram que a presença de um parceiro social durante uma situação de risco modula a resposta ao estresse, atenuando seus efeitos negativos. Neste estudo, 8 díades de machos e 8 de fêmeas de sagüi comum (Callithrix jacchus) foram expostos a um ambiente novo, sozinhos e acompanhados de um parceiro de mesmo sexo e idade. Quando submetidos a um ambiente novo em companhia de um animal de mesmo sexo, os machos apresentaram um perfil mais filiativo enquanto as fêmeas foram mais competitivas entre si. Os resultados mostram que a resposta comportamental é sexualmente dimórfica, e que machos e fêmeas utilizam diferentes estratégias quando confrontados com situações desafiadoras no ambiente natural Abstract Some researches demonstrate that the presence of a social partner during a challenging situation modulates the stress response, decreasing its negative effects. In this study common marmoset (Callithrix jacchus) males and females were exposed to a new environment, alone or in companion of a social partner of the same sex and age. When submitted to new environment in companion of a same-sex social partner males showed more affiliation whereas females performed agonistic behaviors. The results show that behavioral response is sexually dimorphic and that males and females used different strategies when facing challenging situations in natural conditions

Obesity is increasing, reaching epidemic levels in many regions of the world. Studies have shown that consumption of peanuts influences on weight control and this influence may be due to the action of trypsin inhibitors sacietogênica that condition increased plasma colescistocinina (CCK). Moreover, the peanut has other health benefits, and these assignments are guaranteed to increase their production and consumption of several of its products, including the paçoca peanut. The aim of this study was to identify the presence of a trypsin inhibitor in paçoca peanut and evaluate its effect on food intake, weight gain and histomorphological changes in swiss mice (n = 8) and Wistar rats (n = 6). Experimental diets were prepared based on the AIN-93G and supplemented with tack or peanut trypsin inhibitor partially purified paçoca peanut (AHTI). After each treatment, the animals were anesthetized and euthanized, their bloods were collected by cardiac puncture for the determination of CCK and other biochemical parameters (glucose, triglycerides, total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein, glutamic-pyruvic transaminase, glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase and albumin) and their pancreas removed for histologic and morphometric analysis. The supplementation with paçoca peanut and the AHTI showed a decrease of body weight gain and food intake in both mice and rats, due to the satiety, since the animals showed no evidence of impairment of nutritional status conditioned by consumption the AHTI. There were also observed biochemical or morphological important when compared with controls. However, AHTI led to increased secretion of CCK, a peptide sacietogênico. Thus, these results indicate that AHTI present in paçoca peanut, is able to enhance the secretion of plasma CCK and thereby reduce the weight gain associated with lower food intake of experimenta animals

This dissertation presents a hybrid ceramic block the use of which reside in the buildings executed with walls. Initially, we conducted a survey on the requirements and / or norms prevailing in Brazil about structural ceramic blocks, making use of the experiences in other countries. This work seeks new materials and / or products in order to maintain or increase the compressive strength of the ceramic blocks, without neglecting the other properties. Then was collected materials (clay and crushed powder) and an approach on the characterization, through fluorescence, Mineralogy, vitrification curve and characterization of these materials used in the manufacture of the blocks by Ray Diffraction "X" and SEM. Subsequently it was made, numbered and measured dimensions of about 150 bodies of the test piece (hybrid ceramic blocks in small sizes) with varying percentages of 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% substitution of crushed clay powder. After sintering of the bodies of the test piece at temperatures of 900oC, 1000oC 1100oC and with a heating rate of 5oC/minuto and level of 1 hour, the samples were submitted to the tests (compressive strength and water absorption) and calculated their retractions, which were subsequently carried out the analysis of the results according to the criteria and parameters required by Brazilian legislation and standards in force

The development of oil wells drilling requires additional cares mainly if the drilling is in offshore ultra deep water with low overburden pressure gradients which cause low fracture gradients and, consequently, difficult the well drilling by the reduction of the operational window. To minimize, in the well planning phases, the difficulties faced by the drilling in those sceneries, indirect models are used to estimate fracture gradient that foresees approximate values for leakoff tests. These models generate curves of geopressures that allow detailed analysis of the pressure behavior for the whole well. Most of these models are based on the Terzaghi equation, just differentiating in the determination of the values of rock tension coefficient. This work proposes an alternative method for prediction of fracture pressure gradient based on a geometric correlation that relates the pressure gradients proportionally for a given depth and extrapolates it for the whole well depth, meaning that theses parameters vary in a fixed proportion. The model is based on the application of analytical proportion segments corresponding to the differential pressure related to the rock tension. The study shows that the proposed analytical proportion segments reaches values of fracture gradient with good agreement with those available for leakoff tests in the field area. The obtained results were compared with twelve different indirect models for fracture pressure gradient prediction based on the compacting effect. For this, a software was developed using Matlab language. The comparison was also made varying the water depth from zero (onshore wellbores) to 1500 meters. The leakoff tests are also used to compare the different methods including the one proposed in this work. The presented work gives good results for error analysis compared to other methods and, due to its simplicity, justify its possible application

The topical corneal application of antimitotic mitomycin-C (MMC) during refractive surgery is still characterized by a lack of standardization and considerable empirism. For this reason the creation of a system capable of reliable drug delivery represents a beneficial innovation for patients submitted to these procedures. Objective: Elaborate a new MMC delivery system during the transoperatory period of photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) followed by patent application. Methods: The project consists of an in vitro experimental study to create an MMC (0.02%) release system. The drug was impregnated in sterile Whatman® 41 paper filter discs with a diameter of 8 mm. After drying, the discs were applied to antibiogram plates seeded with Staphylococcus epidermidis (American Type Culture Collection ATCC 12228), followed by the addition of a drop of sterile water. At the end of 1 minute, the discs were removed and the plates incubated for 48 hours at 35oC. Mean drop volume in the collyrium flasks was measured using analytical balance weighing. The inhibition halo (mm) was correlated with the MMC impregnated into the disc. After completion of the invention design a patent application was lodged at the National Institute of Industrial Property. Results: The correspondence between MMC-produced inhibition halos indicated that a dose of 16μg was ideal for impregnating into the discs. The mean drop volume obtained from the collyrium flasks was 37.7 μL. A minute after the application of one drop of balanced saline solution, the system released an adequate concentration for PRK surgery. Conclusion: A new MMC delivery system was created for transoperatory application in photorefractive keratectomy (PRK). Publication of the patent application (number PI 0704739-8) gives the authors exclusive intellectual property rights. The study was sponsored by Ophthalmos Indústria e Comércio de Produtos Farmacêuticos S.A. The theme of the research is inserted at a field of intersection between the Sociology of Religion and Sociology of Violence, having as the general objective study the sociological meaning of the conversion of prisoners that lives at the biggest prison (Prison of Alcaçuz) of Rio Grande do Norte to the evangelical churches. The research is justified, because Brazil shelter the fourth greater arrested population arrested of the world, with projections indicating that it can turn the greatest in 2034. Besides, this study about religious conversion of prisoners to the Social Sciences is too important, because is a theme little developed in Brazil and deserves attention, one time that as the arrested people as the evangelicals are in expansion in our country. Starting from the precedent observations, we guide ourselves by the following problematic of research: the religious practice in Alcaçuz presents a mere instrumental perspective, where the actions of prisoners converted was on purpose oriented to conquest material or symbolic privileges; or purely religious, where seek a moral renovation? To develop the work, the scientific methodology adopted was exploratory and explanatory, using the Goffman´s theory about total institutions and presentation of self, and Blumer´s doctrine relating to Symbolic Interacionism and the Story life method, besides considerations about evangelical religion. Having this theoretical basis, was accomplished the Field research, when were made interviews and applied questionnaires to 11 Jailer Agents, 31 prisoners, Director and Vice-Dictor (in November, 2011), the coordinator of social projects of the prison and the coordinator of evangelization at the prisons in Rio Grande do Norte. As results, it was seeing in Alcaçuz that the prisoners can be separated in two groups: the one of Pavilions and other one of the Medical Section. The Pavilions are branded for managerial and structural problems, where are found idle prisoners in collective cells and with a historical of escaping attempts, mutinies and murders. The Medical Section has some individual cells or destined for two people, besides few collective also, and the prisoners work and have a more disciplined behavior, there isn t escapes or rebellions and that, for these reasons end for have more confidence from the Administration. About the presence of evangelical prisoners, most are at Medical Section, where exist a specific place to the cults (what doesn t at Pavilions). At the end, the conclusion is that the prisoner that says himself evangelical in Alcaçuz, although can be seeing with distrust about your real conversion, he gets win a trust vote and until the opposite being demonstrated in other words, that he is not hiding himself behind the bible to divert the vigilance of Direction and practice disciplinary faults without make any suspicions, is treated with more respect and has more opportunities live at Medical Section; have work, that most of times is paid and guarantee the homologation of your payment of penalty with work, besides other benefits, diminishing his time in jail

The current study is about the legitimacy of lower court jurisdiction as a way of exercising basic legal rights, proposing, therefore, a new legal-administrative model for appellate court. In order to achieve that, a demonstration of the importance of basic legal rights in the Brazilian legal system and an open interpretation in light of the Constitution, as a way to affirm said rights, among which are accessibility to the justice system and proper legal protection, is required. As a result, the legitimacy to access the legal system resides in the Constitution, where the interpreter should seek its basic principles to achieve basic legal rights. It is observed that the lack of credibility regarding lower court decisions comes from the dogmatic view of truth born from power, and therefore, that the truth resides in decisions from appellate court and not from lower court judges. A lower court judge holds a privileged position in providing basic legal rights for citizens, considering his close contact to the parties, the facts, and the evidences brought forth. Class action suit is presented as an important instrument able to lead the lower court judge to provide basic legal rights. Small Claims Courts may be used as paradigm to the creation of Appellate State Courts formed by lower court judges, reserving to higher jurisdiction courts and Federal Circuit Courts, the decisions of original competency and the management and institutional representation of the judiciary system. Instilling an internal democratization of the judiciary is also required, which means the participation of lower court judges in electing their peers to chief positions in the court system, as well as establishing a limited mandate to higher court judges.

This work aims to use a different hydrodynamic condition applied to a new design of mixer-settler on treating wastewater produced by petroleum industry, called MDIF (Misturador-Decantador à Inversão de Fases/ Mixer-Settler based on Phase Inversion MSPI). The use of this different hydrodynamic behaviour is possible due to vertical disposition of the device and the principle of Phase Inversion that controls the MDIF, providing the generation (creation) of a cascade of drops, into an organic layer, that works as micro-decanters, thus making possible the formation of a bed of non-coalesced drops, called Bed Formation . The use of this new hydrodynamics condition allows to increase the residence time of the oil carrier drops, into an organic layer, and the device can treat a greater volume of wastewater. In view of to get this condition it is necessary to operate at high throughput (58,6 m3.m-2.h-1). By results, the condition of Bed Formation is the best one to be used when MSPI operates with throughput up to 58,6 m3.m-2.h-1. The results using the condition of Bed Formation show that increasing the height of the bed of non-coalesced drops and/or decreasing the volumetric ratio (O/A) an increase of the separation efficiency is detected

The present work had as objective to apply an experimental planning aiming at to improve the efficiency of separation of a new type of mixer-settler applied to treat waste water contaminated with oil. An unity in scale of laboratory, was installed in the Post-graduation Program of Chemical Engineering of UFRN. It was constructed in partnership with Petrobras S.A. This called device Misturador-Decantador a Inversão de Fases (MDIF) , possess features of conventional mixer-settler and spray column type. The equipment is composed of three main parts: mixing chamber; chamber of decantation and chamber of separation. The efficiency of separation is evaluated analyzing the oil concentrations in water in the feed and the output of the device. For the analysis one used the gravimetric method of oil and greases analysis (TOG). The system in study is a water of formation emulsified with oil. The used extractant is a mixture of Turpentine spirit hydro-carbons, supplied for Petrobras. It was applied, for otimization of the efficiency of separation of the equipment, an experimental planning of the composite central type, having as factorial portion fractionary factorial planning 2 5-2, with the magnifying of the type star and five replications in the central point. In this work, the following independents variables were studied: contents of oil in the feed of the device; volumetric ratio (O/A); total flowrate ; agitation in the mixing chamber and height of the organic bed. Minimum and maximum limits for the studied variables had been fixed according previous works. The analysis of variance for the equation of the empirical model, revealed statistically significant and useful results for predictions ends. The variance analysis also presented the distribution of the error as a normal distribution and was observed that as the dispersions do not depend on the levels of the factors, the independence assumption can be verified. The variation around the average is explained by 98.98%, or either, equal to the maximum value, being the smoothing of the model in relation to the experimental points of 0,98981. The results present a strong interaction between the variable oil contents in the feed and agitation in the mixing chamber, having great and positive influence in the separation efficiency. Another variable that presented a great positive influence was the height of the organic bed. The best results of separation efficiency had been obtained for high flowrates when associates the high oil concentrations and high agitation. The results of the present work had shown excellent agreement with the results carried out through previous works with the mixer-settler of phase inversion
