Cette étude se propose à l'analyser la matière onirique dans les contes fantastique de Pierre Jules Théophile Gautier (1811-1872). En raison des singularités concernant à la période historique de l’auteur, c’est-à-dire à l’époque romantique, la fréquence thématique du rêve se montre essentielle à la compréhension de l'esprit de l'auteur, l’icône de mouvements postérieures, bien en raison de l'évolution artistique et stylistique qui lui a conduit à avoir des relations polémiques avec les idéaux du progrès bourgeois et avec la conception utilitariste de l'art de l’époque, contre laquelle il a opposé la théorie de « L’Art pour l’art ». On a comme l’objectif de montrer que la critique féroce de Théophile Gautier à l’idéal progressite de l’époque et aux limites de la condition humaine occupe une place importante dans ses récits de rêve, soit par la réorganisation des éléments du réel à travers le rêve, soit comme un des moyens d'échapper aux limites de la réalité qui n’était pas toujours vu positevement par les rationalisme

Dans ce texte on a étudié, afin de comprendre et d'analyser les contes réalistes de Guy de Maupassant, comment Erich Auerbach, dans Mimesis (2009), parcourt les sentiers de la littérature occidentale pour dresser un tableau des traits communs qui existent entre les grandes oeuvres réalistes de l'Occident. L'auteur a réalisé des recherches et des commentaires sur les caractéristiques les plus récurrentes du réalisme littéraire dans les oeuvres d'écrivains tels que Homero, Shakespeare, Voltaire, Flaubert, parmi d'autres. Notre recherche vise, dans sa première étape, à présenter, à expliquer ou à identifier dans les contes de Guy de Maupassant, écrivain de la fin du XIXe siècle, les tendances réalistes discutées par ce théoricien et par d'autres au fil du temps, comme, par exemple, Roland Barthes, dans Crítica e verdade (2007), Bersani, dans Le réalisme et la peur du désir (1975) et Philippe Hamon, dans Un discours contraint (1973, p. 411-445). À partir de ces chercheurs, on essaie d'expliciter et d'affirmer le caractère réaliste d'un des maîtres du récit court - sûrement un représentant du réalisme parmi les grands écrivains de cet art - car dans Mimesis (2009) Zola est considéré par Auerbach comme le dernier des grands réalistes français. En plus, pour la deuxième partie de ce travail, on a l'intention de traiter l'émergence de l'impressionnisme artistique en France, et de présenter les concepts et les thèmes qui ont influencé ce mouvement et se présentent dans la construction des récits de Maupassant. Pour le faire, O impressionismo (1962) de Balzi, O impressionismo (1965) de Serullaz, Impressionniste et symboliste devant la presse (1959) de Jacques Lethève, Impressionismo (2010) de Lobstein e autres, mentionnés dans la bibliographie de cette recherche, ont ouvert la voie aux analyses... The literary criticism was developed in Brazil in the period that comprehends the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. During that time, the mean of dissemination of the criticism were the footnotes of the newspapers, places in which literature was discussed and the critics expressed their personal impressions about literary works with the objective of orientating the good taste of the readers. With the progressive evolution of journalism and of the newspaper's audience, the criticism columns became incompatible with the informative part of the periodicals, being transferred to the literary supplements, during a transition phase, until it was concentrated in the universitary field. This change in the paradigms of the production of criticism also caused a change in the profile of the literary critics and in the criteria to do the criticism. Before, if the critics were professionals that only needed to have enough erudition to judge the literary works, they turn into literature experts and need to use scientific methodologies in the literary analysis, while the cultural journalist begins to look at the events and literary works as products which belong to a market that needs to be reported. This research proposes studying and comparing the critics published in the column Prosa de Sábado, of the literary supplement Sabático, produced by Silviano Santiago, critic of an academic origin, and Sérgio Augusto, journalist critic, with the objective of identifying similarities and contrasts between them, and analyse the relation of this critics with their distinct fields of literary legitimation, as well as reflecting about the presence of the literary criticism and of the critics in the current press

Among living beings, the human species is distinguished by the need to produce material and intentionally its existence through labor, an important part of a process of humanization. However, in the current historical conditions, the work does not meet the vital needs of the vast majority, as they do not owned what they produce, they do not realize as humans beings in work activity, they dehumanize themselves. Since, even in such conditions, continue to work everyday, we ask ourselves how they support the condition in which they live. As the decision of the historical men are defined by the education process they experienced, we question whether the schooling that take places in capitalist public school has the purpose of developing an instruction in the working class graduating to be exploited at work throughout life, consenting to be bound of the relationships use of themselves by others, multiple determinate, while they are adapted to a life without the products work. Our hypothesis is that to make this education project, the public school needed to assimilate the scientific management, developed by Frederyck Taylor, in the pedagogical organization. We based on dialectical and historical materialism, which we established the public school environment as reproducing the class struggle, highlighting the teacher work. The research was conducted in a Bauru’s public school, where teachers answered questionnaires that were used to analyze the formulated hypothesis

The concept of physical education emerged in the XIX century through the European gymnastic methods, initially for the purpose of asserting the sovereignty of the nationality of countries, by means of exaltation of patriotism of the masses and the physical preparation for military wars. Nowadays, the cult of the ideal body has changed, becoming the unceasing desire within each society, according to its characteristics of established standards, most of the time denying the genetic determinations of each ethnicity. This social phenomenon has generated openness and encouragement to the fitness market on the rise, eager in supporting the aspirations of the cult of the body”, representing the huge seek of the idea of a healthy body and an aesthetic appearance acceptable in today's society. Parallel to this, the Body Awareness Gymnastics, also known as Technical or Complementary Practices, were introduced in Brazil in the 70s, presenting as main themes the body awareness, the mind-body relationship, and against the ideals of body training. According to authors, the pioneering technique of the movements of alternative practices in Brazil was Antiginástica of Thérèse Bertherat. Therefore, this study aims to harmonize the complementary body practices of the physical education area through literature review of published works by the author Thérèse Bertherat, entitled The body has its reasons, The body communication system, Stations of the body, The Tiger´s Den and When the body is consent. The work also includes the contribution of a particular reading of the researcher, from the experiences of the practices carried out in order to enrich the reporting work through their records, the results obtained from the experiential process

L'article Uma estréia no romance: A mocidade de Trajano veut revoir l'histoire de la publication de ce roman de 1871, renié,quelques années plus tard, par Alfredo d'Escragnolle Taunay. On y veut aussi vérifier les marques qui ce remettent à ceux de Macedo, surtout en ce qui concerne sa filiation au mélodrame (le mot pris dans son sens le plus vaste). Le regard de l'auteur sur le paysage, l'importance du rôle attribué par lui à la nature – scène idéaleopposés à la constatation des dégâts dans les rapports seigneur/esclave, surtout dans les grandes propriétés rurales, pendant le XIXe., ont, eux aussi, été objet de réflexions. Finalement, dans cet article on a essayé de remarquer la filiation idéologique du personnage Trajano à des valeurs européennes, notamment françaises.

In the mid-nineteenth century, in his fruitful years of the perhaps best-known shortest literary career, Álvares de Azevedo wrote this verse “As ondas são anjos que dormem no mar” (“The waves are angels who sleep in the sea”). In the presentation of João Gilberto Noll’s young adult novel Anjo das ondas (Angel of the waves) in 2010, Ivan Marques states that the character in the novel, Gustavo, “with his adolescent passion, and torn spirit with overflowing lyrics, could even be compared to our tropical Byron”. João Gilberto Noll establishes a connection between him and Álvares de Azevedo that invites the reader to go beyond a first reading level of his work, seeking evidence of dialogue ratification between two apparently distant writers. The subtle intertextuality exceeds the initial clue and can be detected on Noll’s theme development from the history of Gustavo, a troubled teenager in search of his identity. Noll’s affinity to Álvares de Azevedo can still be captured in his narrative texture, in voices coming from his text; however, they also reveal to be unique and original features of his literary production. An apparent exercise in style shows that each author fulfills his mission by expressing, in his own way, the feeling of his time. In addition, it shows that through aesthetic emotion, literature allows us to transcend time and space.

As Ciências Sociais foram constituídas no bojo do processo de conquista colonial da Europa sobre a África no século XIX, isto fez com que muitas reflexões, conceitos, teorias, metodologias fossem inspiradas neste contexto social que vinculou homens de diferentes realidades históricas de maneira antagônica. Este artigo faz uma abordagem analítica e interpretativa deste período de nascedouro das Ciências Sociais e da literatura oitocentista sobre a África e os africanos.
