El objetivo general de este trabajo es discutir la imagen de China en los diarios españoles a través del análisis de las noticias sobre China de los dos diarios representantes,La Vanguardia y ABC,especialmente en el período en que se celebran los Juegos Olímpicos de Beijing 2008. La imagen de China en la prensa española es "comunismo","el desarrollo de la economía","falta de derechos humanos","falta la libertad","una técnica avanzada" y "un país con mucha historia y cultura". Y después de la celebración de los Juegos Olímpicos , ha agregada una nueva imagen "el éxito de la celebración de los Juegos Olímpicos"

During the recent years, collaboration with Chinese universities has aroused growing interest among multinational companies (MNCs). Cross-cultural university-industry (U-I) collaboration creates various challenges in collaborative knowledge creation and innovation due to the differences e.g. between university and company motivation, objectives and activities. Also different values, norms, and means of actions result often in collisions and misunderstandings. This thesis examines the establishment of the relationships and the evolution of the collaboration between MNCs and Chinese universities. Empirical findings underscore that the partners in collaboration are required to possess research interest as well as capability to acquire, assimilate and exploit new external knowledge. Time and communication have a critical role in the evolution of the collaboration. In China the personal relationships, guanxi, play an important role. Collaborative knowledge creation requires a platform, Ba, which enables the creation of common understanding, commitment, trust and mutual respect. Empirical data has been collected through interviewing company experts and academe of Chinese universities from ICT and forest industries as well as attending panel discussions and meetings with the experts from the field of study.

El presente trabajo analiza la percepción actual de España en China, concretamente en el ámbito de cultura y turismo. Para lo que se han utilizado tres métodos que incluyen las opiniones obtenidas de una encuesta realizada al ciudadano general, y los datos analizados por la red social más influyente en China — Sina Weibo, junto con los criterios de expertos en la cultura española y enseñanza del idioma a través de realización de entrevista a profundidad. España cuenta con una vasta experiencia en la construcción de su imagen nacional en el ámbito global. Al mismo tiempo, cada día hay más estudios novedosos en el campo académico enfocados a la Imagen País. En el presente trabajo, analizamos la imagen de España que es reflejada por Internet en China actualmente. Empleamos tres métodos fundamentales para realizar dicha investigación. Con el objetivo de comprender la propagación de la imagen de España en línea en China desde diferentes perspectivas y también conocer sus insuficiencias y planificar sugerencias con técnicas derivadas del estudio. Hay que subrayar que el presente trabajo no pretende hacer una revisión de la realidad de España sino de su imagen y percepción, lo que es muy distinto.

A través del análisis de la presencia del fútbol internacional en los principales medios online que ofrecen información en inglés, el presente trabajo trata de estudiar las características de los mensajes informativos online sobre el deporte atendiendo a los siguientes aspectos: la tipología de mensajes, la tipología de contenidos a nivel temático, la tipología de fuentes y la utilización de herramientas, instrumentos y plataformas de la Web 2.0. De este modo se han podido diagnosticar las fortalezas y debilidades que presentan el ciberperiodismo deportivo en China y aportar al mejoramiento de la calidad de contenidos deportivos de los medios de comunicación del país.

En este trabajo de investigación se pretende analizar la formación de la imagen de China en la prensa española. A partir del análisis de contenido del tratamiento informativo que han aplicado los periódicos El País, La Vanguardia, El Diario y Público en la cobertura mediática sobre el XVIII Congreso Nacional del Partido Comunista Chino 2012, se propone explorar los factores que han determinado dicha imagen que se ha reflejado en estos medios de comunicación y las características de ella.

The aim of this study was to analyze and give proposals for the case-company how to optimize cash management in China. The purpose of the theoretical part was to enlighten the liquidity and cash management practices in an international environment and apply these into the different, regulated environment of China. In the theoretical part both domestic and international literature, articles and journals were used. The results of the empirical part are based on the in-formation from the case-company and its associates. Information was gathered mainly via internal questionnaire which was sent to the case com¬pany's subsidiaries involved with the study. Mainly company-internal factors were studied. The main result of the study implies that China is a challenging environment to optimize cash management, as the structures used elsewhere can not be applied to China as such. The study clarified the picture of the current cash management situation within the case company's China units. Can be seen, that by optimizing their cash management it is possible to especially increase control, and interest earnings and utilize internal liquidity more efficiently.

Being highly discussed the problem of climate change and global warming has been keeping importance for several of decades. As a response to the world’s need in solution for climate change disasters, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change was adopted in 1992 and supplemented with the Kyoto protocol in 1997. This work is aimed to give better understanding of the Convention, Kyoto Protocol with its mechanisms and their function, related to energy projects in such case countries, as Russia and China, in order to assist evaluation of projects cost-effectiveness. It provides basic information about the Convention and the Protocol with their regulations, overview of present situation and future post-Kyoto forecasts, while the most attention is concentrated on the clean development mechanism and joint implementation step-by-step project cycles and specific regulations in given countries. The current study disclosed that CDM and JI project cycles are resulting in a complicated process. By the moment it requires step-by-step following of a number of methodologies, spending time and finance to particular project development. Uncertainties about post-Kyoto period bring additional risk to the projects and complicate any business decision concerning Kyoto Protocol.

Sex chromosome differentiation in Rana temporaria varies strikingly among populations or families: whereas some males display well-differentiated Y haplotypes at microsatellite markers on linkage group 2 (LG2 ), others are genetically undistinguishable from females. We analysed with RADseq markers one family from a Swiss lowland population with no differentiated sex chromosomes, and where sibship analyses had failed to detect any association between the phenotypic sex of progeny and parental haplotypes. Offspring were reared in a common tank in outdoor conditions and sexed at the froglet stage. We could map a total of 2177 SNPs (1123 in the mother, 1054 in the father), recovering in both adults 13 linkage groups (= chromosome pairs) that were strongly syntenic to Xenopus tropicalis despite > 200 My divergence. Sexes differed strikingly in the localization of crossovers, which were uniformly distributed in the female but limited to chromosome ends in the male. None of the 2177 markers showed significant association with offspring sex. Considering the very high power of our analysis, we conclude that sex determination was not genetic in this family; which factors determined sex remain to be investigated.

Identifying homology between sex chromosomes of different species is essential to understanding the evolution of sex determination. Here, we show that the identity of a homomorphic sex chromosome pair can be established using a linkage map, without information on offspring sex. By comparing sex-specific maps of the European tree frog Hyla arborea, we find that the sex chromosome (linkage group 1) shows a threefold difference in marker number between the male and female maps. In contrast, the number of markers on each autosome is similar between the two maps. We also find strongly conserved synteny between H. arborea and Xenopus tropicalis across 200 million years of evolution, suggesting that the rate of chromosomal rearrangement in anurans is low. Finally, we show that recombination in males is greatly reduced at the centers of large chromosomes, consistent with previous cytogenetic findings. Our research shows the importance of high-density linkage maps for studies of recombination, chromosomal rearrangement and the genetic architecture of ecologically or economically important traits.

Afin de se préparer à la seconde période de mise en oeuvre du protocole de Kyoto (2013-2020), la Confédération a mené une révision totale de la loi fédérale sur la réduction des émissions de CO2, entrée en vigueur au 1er janvier 2013. La Confédération a ainsi renforcé ses objectifs en matière de lutte contre le changement climatique et a introduit de nouveaux instruments d'intervention pour y parvenir. Depuis lors, la nécessité politique de réduire les émissions de gaz à effet de serre s'est encore accentuée. Lors de la COP21 en décembre 2015 à Paris, la Suisse s'est engagée à réduire ses émissions de gaz à effet de serre de 50 % par rapport à 1990 à l'horizon 2030. En outre, la stratégie énergétique 2050 ambitionne de ramener les émissions de CO2 par habitant dans une fourchette de 1 à 1,5 tonne d'ici à 2050, contre 5,3 tonnes par habitant à l'heure actuelle. Cette recherche mandatée par l'OFEV analyse l'impact de la politique climatique sur le comportement des acteurs économiques et leurs réactions face aux instruments publics introduits pour réduire les émissions de CO2. L'étude, réalisée au cours de l'année 2015, questionne la cohérence du dispositif institutionnel actuel ainsi que sa capacité à stimuler l'action des acteurs économiques en matière de réduction des émissions de CO2. Elle livre un diagnostic de l'efficacité, de l'effectivité et de la désirabilité de la politique publique menée par la Confédération.

This research focuses on the career experiences of women managers in the IT industry in China and Finland, two countries with different cultures, policies, size of population, and social and economic structures regarding work-life support and equal opportunities. The object of this research is to present a cross-cultural comparison of women’s career experiences and how women themselves understand and account for their careers. The study explores how the macro and the micro levels of cultural and social processes become manifested in the lives of individual women. The main argument in this thesis is that culture plays a crucial role in making sense of women’s career experiences, although its role should be understood through its interrelationship with other social processes, e.g., institutional relations, social policies, industrial structures and organizations, as well as globalization. The interrelationship of a series of cultural and social processes affects individuals’ attitudes to, and arrangement and organization of, their work and family lives. This thesis consists of two parts. The first part introduces the research topic and discusses the overall results. The second part comprises five research papers. The main research question of the study is: How do cultural and social processes affect the experiences of women managers? Quantitative and qualitative research methods, which include in-depth interviews, Q-methodology, interpretive analysis, and questionnaires, are used in the study. The main theoretical background is culturally sensitive career theory and the theory of individual differences. The results of this study are viewed through a feminist lens. The research methodology applied allows new explorations on how demographic factors, work experiences, lifestyle issues, and organizational cultures can jointly affect women’s managerial careers. The sample group used in the research is 42 women managers working in IT companies in China (21) and Finland (21). The results of the study illustrate the impact of history, tradition, culture, institutional relations, social politics, industry and organizations, and globalization on the careers of women managers. It is claimed that the role of culture – cultural norms within nations and organizations – is of great importance in the relationship of gender and work. Women’s managerial careers are affected by multiple factors (personal, social and cultural) reflecting national and inter-individual differences. The results of the study contribute to research on careers, adding particularly to the literature on gender, work and culture, and offering a complex and holistic perspective for a richer understanding of pluralism and global diversity. The results of the study indicate how old and new career perspectives are evidenced in women managers in the IT industry. The research further contributes to an understanding of women’s managerial careers from a cross-culture perspective. In addition, the study contributes to the literature on culture and extends understanding of Hofstede’s work. Further, most traditional career theories do not perceive the importance of culture in determining an individual’s career experience and this study richens understanding of women managers’ careers and has considerable implications for international human resource management. The results of this study emphasize the need, when discussing women managers’ careers, to understand the ways by which gendering is produced rather than merely examining gender differences. It is argued that the meaning of self-knowledge is critical. Further, the environment where the careers under study develop differs greatly; China and Finland are very different – culturally, historically and socially. The findings of this study should, therefore, be understood as a holistic, specific, and contextually-bound.
