Insurrectos cubanos deportados hacia Canarias y Fernando Poo (1869): un ejemplo de deportación política

[ES] Aproximación a la deportación política: causas, circunstancias que la rodean y caracterización del fenómeno, para ello nos centramos en un proceso concreto: la deportación de insurrectos cubanos en 1869 con dirección a Fernando Póo y que afecta directamente a las Islas Canarias, lugar utilizado tradicionalmente como destierro. En este sentido, intentamos acercarnos a las controversias y reacciones que genera el fenómeno de la deportación, en la población, en general así como en los grupos de poder político de las islas, en particular.

Sobre Fernando Estévez y algunas esculturas del Niño Jesús. Nuevas atribuciones

[ES] La conmemoración del ccxxv aniversario del nacimiento de Fernando Estévez (1788-1854) en 2013 propició una aproximación diferente a la trayectoria de dicho artista. Este artículo recuerda las actividades organizadas entonces en La Orotava, especialmente una exposición de esculturas y documentos que tuvo varias sedes o lugares de exhibición durante el mes de marzo. Partiendo de obras contempladas entonces, se estudian otras representaciones del Niño Jesús que conservan templos del norte de Tenerife y pueden atribuírsele por cuestiones de estilo. [EN] The commemoration of 225th birth anniversary of Fernando Estévez (1788-1854) in 2013 allowed a new approach to his artistic caree. This paper recalls the activities organised in La Orotava back then, especially an exhibition of sculptures and documents in several spaces during the month of March. Based on the sculptures seen there, we can attribute to him other representations of the Infant Jesus that are preserved in churches in northern Tenerife.

Tradurre la letteratura per l'infanzia: El árbol de los sueños di Fernando Alonso.

Quest'elaborato si concentra nella traduzione dallo spagnolo all'italiano di due capitoli di un libro per bambini: El árbol de los sueños di Fernando Alonso. L'elaborato è preceduto da un'introduzione nella quale spiego la struttura generale dello stesso e le ragioni per cui ho deciso di dedicarmi a questo libro ed è seguito da una conclusione che ne ricapitola il contenuto. Poi, si compone di quattro capitoli: nel primo presento l'autore, importante scrittore di letteratura per bambini in Spagna, e le sue opere in generale. Nel secondo propongo un'analisi generale del testo di partenza, la trama e i personaggi. Il terzo capitolo presenta la mia proposta di traduzione del terzo e del sesto capitolo del libro, con alcune illustrazioni incluse. L'ultimo è un commento alla traduzione, nel quale spiego le difficoltà incontrate, le soluzioni e le strategie adottate.

A Randomized Comparison of Reservoir-Based Polymer-Free Amphilimus-Eluting Stents Versus Everolimus-Eluting Stents With Durable Polymer in Patients With Diabetes Mellitus: The RESERVOIR Clinical Trial.

OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy of amphilimus-eluting stents (AES) with that of everolimus-eluting stents (EES) in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM). BACKGROUND The AES is a polymer-free drug-eluting stent that elutes sirolimus formulated with an amphiphilic carrier from laser-dug wells. This technology could be associated with a high efficacy in patients with DM. METHODS This was a multicenter, randomized, noninferiority trial. Patients with DM medically treated with oral glucose-lowering agents or insulin and de novo coronary lesions were randomized in a 1:1 fashion to AES or EES. The primary endpoint was the neointimal (NI) volume obstruction assessed by optical coherence tomography at 9-month follow-up. RESULTS A total of 116 lesions in 112 patients were randomized. Overall, 40% were insulin-treated patients, with a median HbA1c of 7.3% (interquartile range: 6.7% to 8.0%). The primary endpoint, NI volume obstruction, was 11.97 ± 5.94% for AES versus 16.11 ± 18.18% for EES, meeting the noninferiority criteria (p = 0.0003). Pre-specified subgroup analyses showed a significant interaction between stent type and glycemic control (p = 0.02), with a significant reduction in NI hyperplasia in the AES group in patients with the higher HbA1c (p = 0.03). By quantitative coronary angiography, in-stent late loss was 0.14 ± 0.24 for AES versus 0.24 ± 0.57 mm for EES (p = 0.27), with a larger minimal lumen diameter at follow-up for AES (p = 0.02), mainly driven by 2 cases of occlusive restenosis in the EES group. CONCLUSIONS AES are noninferior to EES for the coronary revascularization of patients with DM. These results suggest a high efficacy of the AES and may support the potential benefit of this stent in patients with DM. Dust measurements in the coma of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko inbound to the Sun

Critical measurements for understanding accretion and the dust/gas ratio in the solar nebula, where planets were forming 4.5 billion years ago, are being obtained by the GIADA (Grain Impact Analyser and Dust Accumulator) experiment on the European Space Agency's Rosetta spacecraft orbiting comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. Between 3.6 and 3.4 astronomical units inbound, GIADA and OSIRIS (Optical, Spectroscopic, and Infrared Remote Imaging System) detected 35 outflowing grains of mass 10(-10) to 10(-7) kilograms, and 48 grains of mass 10(-5) to 10(-2) kilograms, respectively. Combined with gas data from the MIRO (Microwave Instrument for the Rosetta Orbiter) and ROSINA (Rosetta Orbiter Spectrometer for Ion and Neutral Analysis) instruments, we find a dust/gas mass ratio of 4 +/- 2 averaged over the sunlit nucleus surface. A cloud of larger grains also encircles the nucleus in bound orbits from the previous perihelion. The largest orbiting clumps are meter-sized, confirming the dust/gas ratio of 3 inferred at perihelion from models of dust comae and trails.

Los establos de su majestad : Fernando Lorenzo y Alberto Rodríguez(h) : reconstrucción histórica de la puesta en escena

Recuperar las raíces artísticas y teatrales es valorar y consolidar la esencia de nuestras formas y necesidades de expresión. La reconstrucción histórica de Los establos de su Majestad, respondió al propósito de investigar los parámetros ideológicos, estructurales y metodológicos de un espectáculo local, inmerso en una época determinada por la presencia de fuertes y fieles ideales políticos y sociales. Se decidió entonces estudiar especialmente los procesos de búsqueda y gestación de la puesta en escena realizada por un grupo de hacedores teatrales que bregaron, en esta ocasión, por la denuncia y el desenmascaramiento de la verdad a través de su creación artística. Considerando siempre al hecho teatral como síntesis y reflejo de un hecho social.
