History has shown that projects move in and out of poor status through the life of the project. Predicting the success or failure of a project to complete on time because of its recent history on the contract status report could provide our project managers another tool for monitoring contract progress. In many instances, poor contract progress results in the loss of contract time and late completion of projects. This research evaluates the combinations of work type, point in time physical work begins, recent poor status, and contract bid amount as indicators of late project completion.

The Supplier-Relationship Management system is used by SC Department of Motor Vehicles personnel to requisition most purchases of services and materials for DMV purposes. General ledger account codes are first assigned by the shopping cart preparer. Administrative departments such as procurement, payables and budget regularly correct general ledger codes during the purchasing cycle to ensure proper reporting. DMV goals are consistent with accurate reporting of expenditures by general ledger account code. Incorrect reporting would be contrary to DMV' s vision of promoting effective and efficient business processes. Journal entries increased from 34 to 66 in FY2014 and FY20152 ; with a notable amount correcting the general ledger code. This project examines the assignment or correction of general ledger account codes for DMV's planned purchases for the purpose of process improvement.

According to the State Human Resources Division, discrimination complaints are significant. In order to reduce the number of complaints within the South Carolina Department of Transportation, this project on workplace diversification was devised. Diversification has benefits in the workplace that include increased adaptability, broader service range, variety of viewpoints, and more effective execution . Increased adaptability allows employees from diverse backgrounds to bring individual talents and experience to the workplace. A broader service range allows employees with different skills and experience such as language to provide additional services. Improving the diversification will ultimately align this agency with an Affirmative Action Plan and decrease discrimination complaints.
