Complex social-cognitive deficits are common in individuals diagnosed with high functioning autism and Asperger syndrome. Research on effective and evidence-based social interventions is needed for this population. This study focused specifically on the challenges these individuals face with respect to flexible thinking and related flexible behaviour in social situations. Madrigal and Winner's (2008) Superflex curriculum - targets social flexibility, however at the time of this study no published research had been conducted to determine the effectiveness of this approach. This study was a pilot study, which sought to examine the impact of the Superflex curriculum within a 10-week training program in teaching one individual with high functioning autism how to think and behave flexibly in social situations. Multiple measurement tools were utilized, and analyses within and across the measures revealed inconsistencies, especially with respect to generalization. Although preliminary, this study provided valuable information for subsequent research.

Dans Cet Article J'ai Cherche a Demontrer les Liens Qui Existent Entre la Theorie Quantitative de la Monnaie, la Theorie du \"Markup\" et L'inflation. Bien Qu'il Ne Soit Pas Necessaire D'admettre L'equilibre et les Courbes Is-Lm, Ma Theorie du Capital Fictif Est Compatible Avec le Q de Tobin. le Principal Avantage de la Theorie du \"Markup\" Flexible Est de Montrer Comment L'inflation Est Fonction Non Seulement du Prix et de la Productivite du Travail, Mais Aussi du Prix de la Productivite du Capital, de Son Taux D'amortissement et de Son Taux de Financement. les Nouveaux Resultats Econometriques Obtenus a Partir des Donnees Annuelles Canadiennes Illustrent Hors de Tout Doute le Bien Fonde de la Relation Entre Capital Fictif et Inflation.

This study is the first of its kind in India, where in smoked and thermal processed products have been developed using locally available wood as the source of wood smoke and flavoring and a shelf life of one year has been achieved. Retortable pouches of three layers, both imported and indigenous were found suitable to store thermal processed products. Heat penetration rate is quicker in retort pouches due to their thin profile in comparison to cans and hence the total process time is lesser. The nutritional and sensory attributes of the pouch products are better retained during processing. Hence these products are more acceptable than canned products. lndian vegetarian food products and fish curry products are available in the ready to eat form in the markets. Smoked and thermal processed products have not gained an entry to the market and hence this study will pave an opening for such products. Currently trade in tuna products from India is meager compared to the global trade. ln India proper utilization of tuna resources is yet to be achieved due to the lack of infrastructure for handling and knowledge of value addition. The raw material cost is also less due to the poor quality of the fish when landed. Hence, the availability of such products will help in the trade of tuna products, improving the quality of raw material landing and ultimately realizing a better value to the fishermen and processors.

In this letter, we report flexible, non corrosive, and light weight nickel nanoparticle@multi-walled carbon nanotube–polystyrene (Ni@MWCNT/PS) composite films as microwave absorbing material in the frequency range of S band (2-4 GHz). Dielectric permittivity and magnetic permeability of composites having 0.5 and 1.5 wt. % filler amount were measured using the cavity perturbation technique. Reflection loss maxima of 33 dB (at 2.7 GHz) and 24 dB (at 2.7 GHz) were achieved for 0.5 and 1.5 wt. % Ni@MWCNT/PS composite films of 6 and 4 mm thickness, respectively, suggesting that low concentrations of filler provide significant electromagnetic interference shielding

Flexile single layer electromagnetic wave absorbers were designed by incorporating appropriate amounts of carbon black in a nitrile butadiene rubber matrix along with an optimized amount of magnetic counterpart, namely, barium hexaferrite for applications in S, C, and X-bands. Effective dielectric permittivity and magnetic permeability were measured using cavity perturbation method in the frequency range of 2–12 GHz. The microwave absorbing characteristics of the composites were studied in the S, C, and X-bands employing a model in which an electromagnetic wave is incident normally on a metal terminated single layer. Reflection loss exceeding 20 dB is obtained for all the samples in a wide frequency range of 2–12 GHz when an appropriate absorber thickness between 5 and 9mm is chosen. The impact of carbon black is clearly observed in the optimized composites on the mechanical strength, thickness, band width of absorption, dielectric properties,

The first chapter of the thesis gives a general introduction about flexible electronics, dielectrics and composites. The recent developments in flexible electronics also discussed in this chapter. The preparation and characterization techniques used for the butyl rubber ceramic composites are given in chapter 2. The synthesis and characterization of butyl rubber filled with low permittivity ceramic composites are described in chapter 3. The chapter 4 deals with the synthesis and characterization of butyl rubber-high permittivity ceramic composites. The effect of high permittivity ceramic fillers such as TiO2, Sr2Ce2Ti5O15 and SrTiO3 on dielectric, thermal and mechanical properties was studied. The present investigation deals with synthesis, characterization and properties of butyl rubber composites with low, high and very high ceramic fillers and also the effect of particle size on dielectric, thermal and mechanical properties of selected composites.

In 1973 the government of the Federal Republic plans to introduce a flexible retirement age. According to this new law, old age pensions can be paid already to people who are 63 years of age instead of 65 as at present. The government thus hopes to do more justice to the difference in capacity for work of elderly insured people and to the lact that the decline of life of humans depends to a certain extent on the occupational requirements demanded of them. Based on social science and medical research results this essay shows that the flexible retirement age cannot master these problems. The essay mentions in particular general relationships between age and work as well as special relationships between practised work, illness, disability and age. The bibliography includes literature connected with other aspects of the flexible retirement age.

This robot has low natural frequencies of vibration. Insights into the problems of designing joint and link flexibility are discussed. The robot has three flexible rotary actuators and two flexible, interchangeable links, and is controlled by three independent processors on a VMEbus. Results from experiments on the control of residual vibration for different types of robot motion are presented. Impulse prefiltering and slowly accelerating moves are compared and shown to be effective at reducing residual vibration.
