Publicerad 16 maj, 2012 - 11:19 Att många religiösa ledare i moskéer ger uttryck för kvinnoförtryckande idéer innebär inte att alla gör det. I min undersökning ingår kvinnors berättelser om hur de i moskén erbjudits just det som samhället borde garantera, nämligen skyddat boende och stöd för dem som vill komma bort från ett våldspräglat hem, skriver Pia Karlsson Minganti. Kvinnor som vänder sig till rådgivare i moskéer kan få ta emot direktiv som är präglade av manscentrering och rent kvinnohat. Kvällens Uppdrag granskning visar exempel på detta. Utan att själv ha haft möjlighet att se programmet i sin helhet kan jag förutse starka reaktioner och krav på åtgärder. Jag arbetar själv mot könsförtryck, anser att våld och tvång ska polisanmälas och att redan existerande lagstiftning bör tillämpas. Med utgångspunkt i min egen forskning bland medlemmar i muslimska ungdomsföreningar i Sverige tror jag emellertid att debatten nu kan tjäna på att jag bidrar med perspektiv på moskéer som mer än endast arenor för misogyni. Insikten om att kategorin muslim samlar en miljard människor med alla tänkbara ideologiska orienteringar borde idag vara en självklarhet. På samma sätt är muslimska församlingar präglade av variation. Att många (just nu de flesta?) religiösa ledare i moskéer ger uttryck för kvinnoförtryckande idéer innebär inte att alla gör det. Inte heller innebär det att imamerna ifråga har kvinnoförtryck som uttalad målsättning eller aldrig verkar för kvinnors rättigheter. Verkligheten är som bekant komplex. En viktig poäng i sammanhanget är att islamiska rådgivare allt oftare är kvinnor. Internationell forskning visar på en samtida trend där kvinnor etablerar auktoritet i moskéer och organisationer, och virtuellt på internet. Det sker på eget initiativ, men även genom uppmuntran från manliga företrädare och genom statliga initiativ. De flesta bidrar som volontärer, som till exempel de ungdomsledare som runt om i Sverige engagerar ungdomar i allt från islamstudier till läxhjälp och alternativa helgaktiviteter på behörigt avstånd från alkohol och droger. Inom sina föreningar fungerar kvinnorna som beslutsfattare och organisatörer, som styrelseledamöter och ordföranden. De deltar också i andra offentliga sammanhang som föredragshållare och debattörer och samarbetspartners i olika projekt. Många av dessa projekt har till syfte att motverka diskriminering på grundval av kön, hudfärg och religiös tro. Kvinnornas religiösa engagemang kan liknas vid den kristna väckelserörelsen. Kvinnor, ungdomar och andra marginaliserade grupper sluter sig samman och studerar Koranen utan direkt inblandning av konventionella auktoriteter. De islamiska källorna används för att genomdriva förändringar och för att försvara bland annat kvinnors rättigheter. För många framstår våld mot kvinnor som en absurditet, helt oförenlig med islam. Vad jag försöker frammana här är en kontext där kvinnor kan instrueras att inte polisanmäla en misshandlande make, men där samtidigt andra typer av råd ges av olika tongivande personer och även hjälp att fly ut ur akuta våldssituationer. I min undersökning ingår kvinnors berättelser om hur medlemmar i moskéförsamlingar har erbjudit just det som samhället borde garantera, nämligen skyddat boende och stöd för dem som vill komma bort från ett våldspräglat hem. Det är bra att media granskar representanter i moskéer. Kritik kan bidra positivt till utvecklingen av islam i Sverige och motverka att män med destruktiv syn på könsrelationer fortsätter att dominera. Men det är viktigt att kritiken inte är ensidig eller fragmentarisk. När kvinnoförtryck såsom nedtystat våld och sexuellt tvång bland muslimer debatteras är även en annan form av förtryck närvarande: förtrycket mot muslimer som grupp. Det finns en tendens i dagens samhälle att peka ut muslimer som ett exceptionellt hot – mot kvinnor, homosexuella, judar, ”vanligt folk” och samhället i stort. Stigmatisering får flera olyckliga konsekvenser. För det första riskerar kvinnoförtryck i andra sammanhang att osynliggöras. I vilka andra miljöer borde tevereportage med dold kamera göras för att blotta de tänkesätt som leder till kvinnors lidande och död? Det är naturligtvis provocerande i sammanhanget, men erinra etnologen Jesper Fundbergs forskning om hur pojkfotboll fostrar unga i en miljö som knappast har gjort upp med sin sexism, rasism och homofobi. När gav den muslimkritiske debattören senast sitt stöd till en kvinnojour, med ett erkännande ord, praktiskt handtag eller rentav ekonomiskt bidrag? För det andra, politiska entreprenörer i islamofobi slår mynt av att muslimer pekas ut som det primära hotet. Sverigedemokrater hörs plötsligt försvara kvinnors, homosexuellas och judars rättigheter med hjälp av feministiska och antirasistiska argument med udden riktad mot muslimer och islam. För det tredje visar forskning på en tendens bland kvinnor i utsatta minoriteter att sluta upp bakom mansdominerade ledarskikt i syfte att värna gruppens väl, även om de samtidigt är kritiska mot dessa mäns tolkningar och praktiker. Att ensidigt förknippa islam med fenomen som våld mot kvinnor kan alltså få starkt negativa konsekvenser för prioriteringen av muslimska kvinnors välfärd. Våren 2010 debatterades riksorganisationen Sveriges Unga Muslimers val av gästföreläsare till sin årliga konferens. Den tänkta gästen förknippades med homofoba yttranden och debatten resulterade i att Ungdomsstyrelsen granskade ett antal bidragsberättigade religiösa ungdomsorganisationer för eventuell diskriminering mot homosexuella. Förutom Sveriges Unga Muslimer prövades även Ungdomsinitiativet inom Syrisk-ortodoxa ärkestiftet, Riksförbundet unga katoliker, Evangeliska frikyrkans och Pingstkyrkans ungdomssektioner. Granskningen av gruppernas formella handlingar gav inga skäl till att dra tillbaka deras statsbidrag och ingen fördjupad kontroll av enskilda medlemmars uttalanden gjordes. Exemplet visar att omfattningen av statlig granskning vägs mot människors grundlagsstadgade rättighet att organisera sig efter egna intressen och behov. Enskilda förgrundsgestalter är inte synonyma med sina samfund. I samma anda menar jag att tilltro till muslimers, kvinnor inräknade, förmåga att debattera, förhandla, tänja på och motstå förtryck gör det rimligt att framhålla muslimska församlingar och föreningar, inte bara som arenor för misogyni, utan även som plattformar för aktivt medborgande. En sådan tilltro bottnar också i insikten att det är möjligt att förändra de mest seglivade normer. The Nb-Cu pseudoalloys present themselves as potential substitutes for the alloys from a well known system and already commercially applied, as the W-Cu alloys, used in applications such as heat sinks, electrical contacts and coils for the generation of high magnetic fields. Because it is an immiscible system, where there is mutual insolubility and low wettability of the liquid Cu on the Nb surface, the processing route used in this work was the Powder Metallurgy. Two Nb alloys were used, with additions of 10% and 20% in weight of Cu, and times of 20, 30 and 40 hours for the high energy milling of the starting powders. The milling evolution of the powders is presented through the characterization techniques, such as the LASER diffraction for particle size, XRD, SEM, EDS, DSC, dilatometry, TEM and chemical analysis. After the milling, portions of the loads were submitted to the annealing heat treatment. The process used for the samples consolidation was the hot pressing, which has been applied both on some milled powders samples, as on the annealed powders. Subsequent heat treatments were performed in the samples at temperatures of 1000ºC (solid phase) and 1100ºC (in the Cu liquid phase). All sets of consolidated samples, and also the two sets of the heat treated, were analyzed by XRD, SEM, EDS, density and Vickers microhardness. Moreover, other Nb powder samples with 10% and 20% in weight of Cu obtained by simple mechanical mixing, were consolidated, thermally treated and characterized with the same techniques applied to the others, and the results were compared among themselves. Despite the difficulty of consolidation and densification of the two pseudoalloys of the Nb-Cu system of this study, on the route that passes through the HEM, samples were obtained with densities around 90% of the theoretical density. And, on the processing route of which were only mixed, the values reached up to 97%. Therefore, in this work are also emphasized the processes that made possible these results.

With the emergence of new technologies, has grown the need to use new materials, and this has intensified research on the collection and use of materials from renewable sources, is to reduce production costs and / or environmental impact. In this context, it was found that the sheath coconut straw, can be utilized as raw material for the production of a eco-composite that can be used as a thermal and acoustic insulator. After selected from the coconut sheaths were subjected to treatment with aqueous 2 % sodium hydroxide (NaOH). The composite study was produced with the sheath and coconut natural latex, with coconut sheath percentage in the proportions 15%, 25% and 35% of the total compound volume. Physical, thermal and acoustic properties of the composites were analyzed in order to obtain data on the use of viability as thermoacoustic insulation. The CP15 composites, CP25 and CP35 showed thermal conductivity 0.188 W/m.K, 0.155 W/m.K and 0.150 W/m.K, respectively. It can be applied as thermal insulation in hot systems to 200 ° C. The CP35 composite was more efficient as a thermal and acoustic insulation, providing 20% noise reduction, 31% and 34% for frequencies of 1 kHz, 2 kHz and 4 kHz, respectively. The analyzes were based on ABNT, ASTM, UL. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the eco-composite produced the hem of coconut can be used as thermal and acoustic insulation. Thus, it gives a more noble end to this material, which most often is burned or disposed of improperly in the environment.

Fifty short sediment cores collected with a multiple corer and five box cores from the central Arctic Ocean were analysed to study the ecology and distribution of benthic foraminifers. To work out living faunal associations, standing stock and diversity, separate analyses of living (Rose Bengal stained) and dead foraminifers were carried out for the sediment surface. The size fractions between 63 and 125 µm and >125 µm were counted separately to allow comparison with former Arctic studies and with studies from the adjacent Norwegian-Greenland Sea, Barents Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean. Benthic foraminiferal associations are mainly controlled by the availability of food, and competition for food, while water mass characteristics, bottom current activity, substrate composition, and water depth are of minor importance. Off Spitsbergen in seasonally ice-free areas, high primary production rates are reflected by high standing stocks, high diversities, and foraminiferal associations (>125 µm) that are similar to those of the Norwegian-Greenland Sea. Generally, in seasonally ice-free areas standing stock and diversity increase with increasing food supply. In the central Arctic Ocean, the oligotrophic permanently ice-covered areas are dominated by epibenthic species. The limited food availability is reflected by very low standing stocks and low diversities. Most of these foraminiferal associations do not correspond to those of the Norwegian-Greenland Sea. The dominant associations include simple agglutinated species such as Sorosphaerae, Placopsilinellae, Komokiacea and Aschemonellae, as well as small calcareous species such as Stetsonia horvathi and Epistominella arctica. Those of the foraminiferal species that usually thrive under seasonally ice-free conditions in middle bathyal to lower bathyal water depth are found under permanently ice-covered conditions in water depths about 1000 m shallower, if present at all.

BACKGROUND: Data about special phenotypes, natural course, and prognostic variables of patients with acquired cold urticaria (ACU) are scarce. OBJECTIVES: We sought to describe the clinical features and disease course of patients with ACU, with special attention paid to particular phenotypes, and to examine possible parameters that could predict the evolution of the disease. METHODS: This study was a retrospective chart review of 74 patients with ACU who visited a tertiary referral center of urticaria between 2005 and 2015. RESULTS: Fourteen patients (18.9%) presented with life-threatening reactions after cold exposure, and 21 (28.4%) showed negative results after cold stimulation tests (classified as atypical ACU). Nineteen patients (25.7%) achieved complete symptoms resolution at the end of the surveillance period and had no subsequent recurrences. Higher rates of atypical ACU along with a lower likelihood of achieving complete symptom resolution was observed in patients who had an onset of symptoms during childhood (P < .05). In patients with atypical ACU, shorter disease duration and lower doses of antihistamines required for achieving disease control were detected (P < .05). Age at disease onset, symptom severity, and cold urticaria threshold values were found to be related to disease evolution (P < .05). LIMITATIONS: This study was limited by its retrospective nature. CONCLUSIONS: The knowledge of the clinical predictors of the disease evolution along with the clinical features of ACU phenotypes would allow for the establishment of an early and proper therapeutic strategy.

Hereditary hemochromatosis (HH) is an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by excessive iron absorption resulting in pathologically increased body iron stores. It is typically associated with common HFE gene mutation (p.Cys282Tyr and p.His63Asp). However, in Southern European populations up to one third of HH patients do not carry the risk genotypes. This study aimed to explore the use of next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology to analyse a panel of iron metabolism-related genes (HFE, TFR2, HJV, HAMP, SLC40A1, and FTL) in 87 non-classic HH Portuguese patients. A total of 1241 genetic alterations were detected corresponding to 53 different variants, 13 of which were not described in the available public databases. Among them, five were predicted to be potentially pathogenic: three novel mutations in TFR2 [two missense (p.Leu750Pro and p.Ala777Val) and one intronic splicing mutation (c.967-1G>C)], one missense mutation in HFE (p.Tyr230Cys), and one mutation in the 5'-UTR of HAMP gene (c.-25G>A). The results reported here illustrate the usefulness of NGS for targeted iron metabolism-related gene panels, as a likely cost-effective approach for molecular genetics diagnosis of non-classic HH patients. Simultaneously, it has contributed to the knowledge of the pathophysiology of those rare iron metabolism-related disorders.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att göra en övergripande studie av nutida svenskspråkiga bilderböcker, exemplifierad genom Pija Lindenbaum och en genuin bilderbok av henne: Doris drar (2015). Uppsatsen diskuterar kring hur den nutida bilderboken har sin kontext i flera konstnärliga uttryck och successivt blivit alltmer estetiskt kvalificerad. Bilderboks-skaparna som debuterade under 1980- och 1990-talen, däribland Lindenbaum, fo-kuserade på nutida bildskapande, ord och bild i samverkan, barnrättsperspektivet, nedtonandet av pedagogiken samt ett kommersiellt tänkande. Barnlitteraturens grundmönster är handlingsförloppet: hem – uppbrott hemifrån – äventyr – hemkomst. Igenkänning, mönster och åtstramning är centralt. Detta är karakteristiskt för Lindenbaum och Doris drar. Den ingår i en följd av bilderböcker från 2000-talet där Lindenbaum utvecklat en egen stil i bild, text och upplägg. Det är psykologiska små dramer fyllda av hu-mor och fantasin är surrealistisk. Barnets perspektiv är uttalat i ord och bild. Barn-språkstexterna är dramatiska. Tilltalet är dubbelt. Doris är en nutida version av den klassiska sagohjälten.

El rescate de cautivos fue un proceso laborioso que requirió, además, la estabilización, aunque fuera temporal y frágil, de unas fronteras que posibilitaran contactos entre las distintas comunidades. Los rescates surgieron como consecuencia del desarrollo del comercio, planteándose el intercambio de prisioneros o su rescate como una actividad más, aunque habría de contar con el beneplácito de las autoridades políticas y religiosas que muy pronto se implicaron. Lógicamente eran necesarias personas dotadas de determinadas cualidades, entre las que iban a destacar los comerciantes, al tratarse de individuos que pasaban a uno y otro lado de la frontera con cierta frecuencia y eran conocedoras de su problemática. Posteriormente alguno de ellos se especializaron en la negociación de la libertad de los prisioneros.

Ta-Cu bulk composites combine high mechanical resistance of the Ta with high electrical and thermal conductivity of the Cu. These are important characteristics to electrical contacts, microwave absorber and heat skinks. However, the low wettability of Ta under Cu liquid and insolubility mutual these elements come hard sintering this composite. High-energy milling (HEM) produces composite powders with high homogeneity and refines the grain size. This work focus to study Ta-20wt%Cu composite powders prepared by mechanical mixture and HEM with two different conditions of milling in a planetary ball mill and then their sintering using hydrogen plasma furnace and a resistive vacuum furnace. After milling, the powders were pressed in a steel dye at a pressure of 200 MPa. The cylindrical samples pressed were sintered by resistive vacuum furnace at 10-4torr with a sintering temperature at 1100ºC / 60 minutes and with heat rate at 10ºC/min and were sintered by plasma furnace with sintering temperatures at 550, 660 and 800ºC without isotherm under hydrogen atmosphere with heat rate at 80ºC/min. The characterizations of the powders produced were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), x-ray diffraction (XRD) and laser granulometry. After the sintering the samples were analyzed by SEM, XRD and density and mass loss tests. The results had shown that to high intense milling condition produced composite particles with shorter milling time and amorphization of both phases after 50 hours of milling. The composite particles can produce denser structure than mixed powders, if heated above the Cu melting point. After the Cu to arrive in the melting point, liquid copper leaves the composite particles and fills the pores

The Tungsten/copper composites are commonly used for electrical and thermal objectives like heat sinks and lectrical conductors, propitiating an excellent thermal and electrical conductivity. These properties are dependents of the composition, crystallite size and production process. The high energy milling of the powder of W-Cu produces an dispersion high and homogenization levels with crystallite size of W very small in the ductile Cu phase. This work discusses the effect of the HEM in preparation of the W-25Cu composite powders. Three techniques of powder preparation were utilized: milling the dry with powder of thick Cu, milling the dry with powder of fine Cu and milling the wet with powder of thick Cu. The form, size and composition of the particles of the powders milled were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used to analyse the phases, lattice parameters, size and microstrain of the crystallite. The analyse of the crystalline structure of the W-25Cu powders milled made by Rietveld Method suggests the partial solid solubility of the constituent elements of the Cu in lattice of the W. This analyse shows too that the HEM produces the reduction high on the crystallite size and the increase in the lattice strain of both phases, this is more intense in the phase W

The low tenacity presented by the Portland cement pastes used in the oil wells cementation has been motivating several researches with attention focused on alternative materials. Additives have been developed to generate flexible pastes with mechanical resistance capable to support the expansions and retractions of the metallic covering of the wells that submit to the steam injection, technique very used to increase the recovery factor in oil reservoirs with high viscosity. A fresh paste with inadequate rheological behavior may commit the cementation process seriously, involving flaws that affect the performance of the paste substantially in the hardened state. This work proposes the elaboration and the rheological analysis of Portland cement pastes with addition of residues of rubber tire in several proportions, with the aim of minimizing the damages provoked in the hem cementing of these wells. By thermogravimetric analysis, the particles of eraser that go by the sieve of 0,5mm (35 mesh) opening and treated superficially with NaOH solution of 1 mol/L presented appropriate thermal resistance for wells that submit to thermal cyclic. The evaluation of the study based on the results of the rheological analysis of the pastes, complemented by the mechanical analysis, thickening, stability, tenor of free water and filtrate loss, being used as parameter a paste reference, without rubber addition. The results showed satisfactory rheology, passive of few corrections; considerable loss of mechanical resistance (traction and compression), compensated by earnings of tenacity, however with established limits for its application in oil wells; satisfactory stability, free water and thickening time
