The title molecule, C21H18O8, crystallizes in two crystal polymorphs, see also Nallasivam, Nethaji, Vembu & Jaswant [Acta Cryst. (2009), E65, o314-o315]. The molecules of both polymorphs differ by the conformation of the oxomethylacetate groups. The title molecules are rather planar compared to the molecules of the other polymorph. In the title molecule, one of the oxomethylacetate groups is disordered (occupancies of 0.6058/0.3942). The structures of both polymorphs are stabilized by C-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions. Due to the planarity of the title molecules and similar intermolecular interactions, the title molecules are more densely packed than those of the other polymorph.

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C17H14O4, contains two independent molecules which differ in the relative orientations of the phenyl rings with repect to the essentially planar [maximum deviations of 0.029 (2) and 0.050 (2) angstrom in the two molecules] chromene fused-ring system, forming dihedral angles of 10.3 (5) and 30.86 (5)degrees in the two molecules. The crystal structure is stabilized by weak C-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions, and pi-pi stacking interactions.

The molecular conformation of the title compound, C20H17N3, is stabilized by an intramolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot N interaction. The crystal structure shows intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions. The dihedral angle between the isoquinoline unit and the phenyl ring is 11.42 (1)degrees whereas the isoquinoline unit and the pendent dimethyl pryrazole unit form a dihedral angle of 50.1 (4)degrees. Furthermore, the angle between the mean plane of the phenyl ring and the dimethyl pyrazole unit is 47.3 (6)degrees.

In the title compound, C15H21BrN4O6S, all three NH groups are involved in intermolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot O interactions which, together with two intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot O contacts, lead to a continuous antiparallel beta-sheet structure. There are no pi-pi interactions between molecules, and two C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions primarily govern the linkage between sheets.

In the molecule of the title compound, C18H24N2O2, the piperidine rings are in chair conformations. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonding. There are neither C-H center dot center dot center dot pi nor pi-pi interactions in the structure.

The weak electrostatic and dispersive forces between C([delta]+)-F([delta]-) and H([delta]+)-C([delta]-) are at the borderline of the hydrogen-bond phenomenon and are poorly directional and further deformed in the presence of other dominant interactions, e.g. C-H...[pi]. The title compound, C6H4F2, Z' = 2, forms one-dimensional tapes along two homodromic C-H...F hydrogen bonds. The one-dimensional tapes are connected into corrugated two-dimensional sheets by further bi- or trifrucated C-H...F hydrogen bonds. Packing in the third dimension is controlled by C-H...[pi] interactions.

In the title molecule, C23H14N4, the triazoloisoquinoline ring system is nearly planar, with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.038 (2) angstrom and a maximum deviation of -0.030 (2) angstrom from the mean plane of the triazole ring C atom which is bonded to the benzene ring. The benzene and phenyl rings are twisted by 57.65 (8) and 53.60 (9)degrees, respectively, with respect to the mean plane of the triazoloisoquinoline ring system. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked by weak aromatic pi-pi interactions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.8074 (12) angstrom]. In addition, the crystal structure exhibits a nonclassical intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond.

In the title molecule, C22H14ClN3, the triazoloisoquinoline ring system is approximately planar, with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.033 (2) angstrom and a maximum departure from the mean plane of 0.062 (1) angstrom for the triazole ring C atom, bonded to the benzene ring. The benzene and phenyl rings are twisted by 57.02 (6) and 62.16 (6)degrees, respectively, to the mean plane of the triazoloisoquinoline ring system. The molecule is stabilized by a weak intramolecular pi-pi interaction [centroid-centroid distance = 3.7089 (10) angstrom] between the benzene and phenyl rings. In the crystal structure, weak intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bonds and C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions link the molecules.

The title compound, C13H14OS, crystallizes with two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. The unit cell contains three voids of 197 angstrom(3), but the residual electron density (highest peak = 0.24 e angstrom(-3) and deepest hole = -0.18 e angstrom(-3)) in the difference Fourier map suggests no solvent molecule occupies this void. The crystal structure is stabilized by pi-pi interactions between the isocoumarin ring systems, with centroid-centroid distances of 3.6793 (14) and 3.6566 (15) angstrom.
